Allan, 05 Apr 2009I guess when the iphone goes dead on a trip because you can't interchange the battery,people n... moreI've got a Kensington battery that plugs into my iPhone and gives me another full charge, it charges by mini-USB and has a retractable cord so I can plug it into a USB socket, a Motorola, Blackberry or even my Navman charger.

atleast apple gives us software updates to improve the features, or add more features. unlike you nokia users who needs to update software to fix bugs,errors because of a bad software. thats why we call nokias junky.
i use nokias my entire life.i got 6210 back in year 2000 as my first nokia, until n95 as i shift to SE p1i then quickly shift to iphone3g last year.
happy to have an iphone 3G, and 1 thing i learned using nokias for 7 years. nokia is all quantity not quality. they create phones with no big upgrade at all. all n-series phones are similar phones. camera mostly changes and of course the design, but nothing more. thats why nokia is the number 1 in sales, not because they have good phones but because they have many phones to sell. imagine every year they will have an average of 7-10 phones a year, about 15-20 phones for the last 2 years vs apple's 2 iphones for the last 2 years. its a fact that iphone 3G beats 5-nokia phone sales combined.

I guess when the iphone goes dead on a trip because you can't interchange the battery,people need a nokia(e71).
Not referring to anyone in particular though!
e71, handy to have on a business trip, qwerty, a flash for low light pics, records video. Usually even a 50 dollar phone can record video! e71 also has a loudspeaker that you can actually hear compared to the iphone, fm radio as well!

It's as simple as ... moreI have to disagree there, I don't believe it's jealousy I think people are just very naive. They haven't ever used an iPhone and just hate on it because of the hype surrounding it and the fact it has no MMS/Bluetooth. Sometimes you have to open you mind to new things instead of being very narrow minded.

I've been using my iphone 3G lightly for about 2 months. I've never dropped my phone or anything and I've been having problems with the plastic backing... While i was cleaning my phone I noticed a small hairline crack in between the vib switch and the chrome bezel. If anyone else is having this problem please reply, I want to know if this is happening to a lot of you guys out there or just me. Thanks

I'm not gonna give my cell provider 1080.00 dollars for a data plan over 3 years just so i can get an iphone for 200.00 bucks. That money is on top of a voice plan here in Canada. If i really wanted one i could buy an unlocked one for 600. Just not interested.

It's as simple as ... moreActually, most people who post negative opinions about the iphone have a valid reason to. There is no one device to suit everyone. Non-Apple users don't post out of jealousy any more than iphone fans post out of jealousy when they rubbish a Nokia or a Samsung.
In fact, iphone threads attract so much hate because they are usually full of ignorant posts like yours. People feel more compelled to post hate against ignorant users than against a product they could simply choose not to buy.

if i get the iphone 3g unlocked from optus pre paid, for $120, will it be officially unlocked?.
so when i update it with 3.0 firmware will it be locked again?
