*Sigh* Is it just me or has there been the return of the 'no bluetooth' crowd?
The reason there is no bluetooth is to stop piracy. Apple have finally got a legal digital music store, where you can buy individual tracks for loose change as well as iPhone apps and everyone gets paid. Why do you think developers are rushing to make iPhone applications? Because they know what their work wont end up on some dodgy 'cheap as free' pirates website, but instead in the App Store, and if I want it, I have to buy it. (Novel idea isn't it)
If there was bluetooth transfer then said songs and apps would just be bought by one person and given to all their colleuges and suddenly said developers stop getting paid.
Now I know there is countless security features, but considering the last few pages of posts have had jailbreaking discussed, its apparent that no codes are perfect.
Sure you may say that you only want it for files and pictures, but its just like having a shop with no security system or salesperson, and just an honesty box to pay for the goods. Sure some would, but in this declining civilisation, many would not.
That is why. If Apple do somehow make it that bluetooth can work without all their legalities of the iTunes store becoming void then by all means, they should release it, but until then, we must wait and count ourselves to blame for contributing to this wave of internet piracy. (This is a general comment, lol)

APPLE MAN UK , 30 Jan 2009awsome fone ifone is tha best fone out period!
can someone please list the best apps so i c... moreI have installed many apps on my iphone, but here are some that I find myself using every day.
- Truveo (free) - this is basically YouTube, but with enhanced video and audio quality, like 3x better.
- Shovel (free) - info/News resource. This is where I get the latest news tidbits of what's going on with anything about Apple products and the iphone.
- Balance (free)- this is a very simple expense log in keeping track of your daily expenditures and deposits as well.
- PV (free) - this is where I keep photos for my eyes only. It is a password protected application separate from the pre existing camera roll of the iphone
- WeDict (free) - it was free when I installed it, but now it's %5.99. It's a handy dictionary.
- Currency (free) - currency converter. I send money to the Philippines regularly, so it's very handy for me to have this app.
- Bible Study (free) - old and new testament Bible. I read the Bible every day, so this app is important for me.
- Wikiamo (free) - wikipedia app for the iphone.
- ShopShop (free) - grocery checklist
- TouchType (free) - let's you compose emails on landscape mode.
- Pandora (free) - it's radio minus commercials, better than FM radio, lol.
I can go on and on with my list of installed apps. I have cool games like FourFree, Cubes, Tris, S.deadbeef, ishoot, Labyrinth, pac-man, etc. Those are my favorite pass time games on the iphone.
I hope you'll find something useful from some of my selections.
navid, 30 Jan 2009hi again. guys im really close to buy a new mobile.so i need your help. my choices are:n96(... moreWindows Mobile has lots of applications, and its very versatile, but most applicatinos are like 10-15 bucks, some are 30. And people complaing about paying a DOLLAR for apps for Iphone. Iphone camera is quite decent, just clean the lense with cloth before you use it, also STEADY the iphone against a table or wall as you take the picture, this makes a HUGE difference for me. BT transfer will come eventually, but not yet. Applications CAN use location services (GPS) and many companies are currently making navigation programs. Google maps directions have served me quite well, as long you look ahead to see where y ou need to turn. MMS is a dead technology that will soon be taken over by email, which is MUCH cheaper and easier to use with Push. Iphone is by far the best phone for most people. Unless you INSIST upon deleting ONE message only, or need to take professional 5 or 8 MP pictures with a flash (which most mobiles dont' do very well either) then the Iphone should be able to do more than you need it do at least, and then some. Enjoy your Iphone :)
the i phone is great , stylish , friendly user, i only miss the forward for sms , download from internet , battery is not that great, file manager,
syncronising process is not that easy as it's through only i tunes & i can't find what i already syncronised on the i tunes or in the p.c.
please verify if any

MFi, 29 Jan 2009I hope that you do not misunderstand me, I am not trying to fight you iPhone guys, it was just... moreYou're welcome. Ultimately, it really depends on how you use your device and which features are important for you. Here are SOME things I like about my iphone. I love my iphone because of its simple, easy, smooth, and clean UI. It barely has hickups like what I experienced with my prior phones. Opening applications is fast and very smooth, especially photos. It's touchscreen responsiveness is I believe the best. It's very responsive, intuitive, and fluid. Internet is important for me, and the iphone's safari browser is absolutely fantastic for a smartphone. I'm a YouTube addict, and viewing YouTube videos on the iphone is very, very good, especially when you view it using Truveo app from the app store. It's crisp and clear. I also frequent other websites and I really can't complain about my web experience using my iphone. Pinching or tapping twice to zoom in and out is very, very easy and smooth, and there's NO LAG at all when you zoom in and out. The absence of flash support was never a hindrance or an issue for me, which made me wonder why some people make such a big deal of it. I find myself using my MacBookPro much lesser because I can pretty much do most of my web activities over my iphone (even paying my bills and making purchases), unless of course I need to do heavy replies to emails and messages from my social web networks, then I'd rather use my MacBookPro. The app store is just wonderful. I have never experienced this kind of amusement on a phone. The app store has thousands of fun (some silly) applications to choose from. Some free, some you have to buy. I have installed so many applications that I never run out of things to do with my iphone, lol. As long as I have my iphone with me, I don't mind falling and waiting in line at the grocery store, at the mall, or at the post office, because I have my iphone to keep me entertained.
Its music player is of course one, if not the best out there. I need not elaborate on that. Think ipod.
I also like it A LOT for its integration of services from itunes, to the app store, to managing photos and videos from to your laptop to your iphone, to push email, to getting firmware updates, etc. Apple makes those services so convenient for its users. I think that is the reason why they want it strictly tied with a carrier so that its users can TOTALLY enjoy full integration of services, again, something that I have NEVER experienced that with my prior phones.
That was just some of my wonderful day to day experiences with my iphone. So would I give up my iphone just because it cannot BT a file or send a photo via MMS? LOL, I don't think so. The iphone offers other much more useful apps and features that BT and MMS becomes not too important after all. But if you think that MMS and BT are more fun and important than the 15,000+ applications on the app store, then hey, go get a Nokia or an SE or a Samsung :)

BT file transfer is coming for jailbroken iphone but no word for official updates on this.
the camera in the iphone is only 2mp but its a great quality 2mp (remember mp really only judges the size at which you can print without artifacting)
iPhone still only has GoogleMaps with no real GPS software as of yet, apple have promised it will come but nobody is sure how long it will be.
