Sir Josiah, 28 Jan 2009Sorry, but I believe you are mistaken. You cannot delete a single SMS, only whole conversat... moreI just realized what you're trying to say. I never had a problem with how SMS deletion is set up on the iphone. That's why I missed what he was trying to refer to, which is individual SMS, not SMS events by sender. Because FYI, on the iphone, multiple text messages from one sender APPEARS AS ONE event when you view it on the main SMS page. And you can delete each SMS event one by one. So I was right. Other smartphones do not have that feature, instead, they overkill you with lines after lines for each SMS you get, instead of putting them all together in one SMS event by sender like what the iphone does. I know what I am talking about, and what I said is true, so I was not giving out false information like you said I was. Misunderstanding, yes, but I was not deliberately giving out false info. And yes, you are rude and arrogant =)
MFi, 28 Jan 2009Who that you that bluetooth is made only for transferring music? you can do many things with p... moreI don't think that BT features are useless, but, it's not that important to have for most people either. So it shouldn't really be a big deal. Why? Because there are other ways of achieving the same results. Yes, you can BT files, but you can email files as well. As for connecting to your computer, the iphone has an application called Airshare that connects to your computer wirelessly as well and even works better than BT because you can just drag and drop. The iphone also has iremote app that lets you use it as a remote control. As for BT webcam, ummmm, why would you need that when most of the laptops out there already have built-in webcams, or may already have existing webcams at home. As for presentations, I've been a professional for several years now, and honestly, I have NOT seen anyone giving presentations using their phone's BT feature, LOL. I'm saying this not because I am justifying the absence of full BT functionalities on the iphone. Of course it would be better to have all those BT functions as well, but if not, it's not a big deal either like you are trying to make it to be.
jailbreak your phone will give you BLUETOOTH, file transfer coming soon, VIDEO REC, better sms apps ETC
everything that the iphone "doesn't" have is all LIES!!!!!!!!

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2009ur a shame coz time of mms and bluetooth is gone. Have u even used iphones email client, its b... moreWho that you that bluetooth is made only for transferring music? you can do many things with powerful phones that come with BT, with my SE W960i I can play multiplayer games using BT, I can connect to my laptop anytime any everywhere without the need for cables, with BTand some softwares I can use my phone as webcam and connect it to my laptop to chat with friends, I can use my mobile as remote control to control for example TV and even use it to control power point presentation on my laptop, the BT is the easiest way to share the pictures and other files (not only music), I think that you are trying to defend your iPhone by saying that BT is useless. coz iPhone does not come with BT.
So sad! just upgrade my fimware to 2.2.1 and now my iPhone 3G becomes an ipod or ibrick.

You cannot delete a single SMS, only whole conversations at a time.
Not trying to be rude, but if you don't know what you are talking about, don't say it. People come to this forum to read opinions and information which in turn may contribute to the purchase of their next mobile. Giving false/ill-researched information will only cause problems.
Actually, Anonymous no longer...
Pal-Fan, 27 Jan 2009Hi, Is there a fix to delete a single SMS message? I read that you can only delete all SMSs? ... moreYes, you can delete a single sms with the iphone. Matter of fact, that's the only way to delete sms, one by one.
MAC, 27 Jan 2009no bluetooth???!!!"no bluetooth???!!!"

Just a note... I recieved an email from a friend of mine the other day, sent from his computer containing 22 high quality images, which I viewed and saved some of with my iPhone. It didn't cost me anything thanks to Wi-Fi/Data plan. 22 images would be rather pricey on MMS, agreed?
Now whilst MMS is trying to make a comeback, it will eventually die out, no amount of complaining will change that. People want to do things cheap as possible and email is the way to do that.
I want to also add, Apple never have and never will release information of their upcoming releases before the Keynote presentations at Macworld. (Software updates are different) But as far as new hardware, or software, its all part of the surprise on the day. Anyway, if Apple did no one would buy current models of anything, because people would wait for the upcoming release, resulting in less profit.
With that said, the day we will know about a new iPhone is the day before it will be released. As has been said before, anything before that is just speculation.
It has only been 6 months (roughly) since the 3G was released, and knowing Apple, it will be at least another 6 before they even consider a new model.
To everyone saying they'll hang out for the new model, you are wasting your time, because there will always be something newer and better. If you like the iPhone as is atm, then get it now. There will be a software update in April if you want to hang out til then to see if Copy/Paste makes an appearance as well as other missing features, but really, there is no time like the present. *shrugs*
shahid, 27 Jan 2009is iphone 3g have radio transmeter, so we can lisen itune song on fm radio in car?The iphone does not have an fm transmitter, but you can get one that pops onto the bottom using iphone battery.
