So go have a cry in the comer and stop critisising things you don't own. And apps don't cost 4bucks I got about 30 great apps on my phone that cost under 4 bucks most which were free.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2009hi to all i bought the iphone 3g and its unlocked from italy so can i update my phone with out... moreyes you can. my iphone 3G came from italy too as an unlock version. i updated the software to 2.2 and still it remains unlock.

friends,i have used all new mobiles by nokia & sony ericsson till yet which have been released,but nowdays SE gets hang very soon & all mobiles made by nokia looks like chinese phones which gets hang and slow fast,except made in findland.now i m using apple iphone3g it is a very good phone.there are so many application by apple.whts a graphic phone,wht a toch screen g8 phone 9 out of 10.bye it but without downloading apps and games u will be unhappy.

Apple offer iPhone 3G Factory Unlocke... moreno you should not unlock it yourself, if you do that then the warranty from your authorize seller will be void. because you hacked it.
legally unlock iphones are the unlock version.
almost all iphone 3Gs are lock to a network, thats what apple did to sell their iphones with an exclusive carrier.
only few selected countries are allowed by apple to sell the unlock version of iphone 3G like hongkong, taiwan, australia, new zealand, italy, belgium, germany, france. these is where you can find the unlcok versions, in exchange to that iphones in these countries will be more expensive than other countries selling lock versions.

lucian, 11 Jan 2009as long as your iphone 3G is legally unlocked, meaning you bought it unlock in an authorize ap... moredont buy iphone not sealed, it may have been hacked to unlock and definitely will lock again if you update the software.
What does that mean?
