I am trying to figure out whether I would like the the iPhone or the TouchPro and so have been reading a lot of reviews on the specs etc lately.
All of these note the lack of flash from websites when comparing them to the TouchPro which uses window's mobile and does read flash for movies/videos/adware.
Is it a dealbreaker for me? Not sure.
The truth is that most of you in here who call others "haters" because they point out the flaws of the iphone really need to grow up. Your english is horrible and I get the image that a 5 year old is typing. It's an electronic device. Everyone will get what they want and if it bothers you when others "dis" this phone, it's because you bought so others would like you or be impressed. I'm not looking to impress anyone other than myself with my purchase.
If you like Apple computers and operating systems, if you dont' want to bother with tweaking, then you'll get the iphone. If you don't mind having to download apps or do a little tweaking in the phones system, you'll get a WinMob phone.
Another consideration is the "EDGE" network. If you don't plan on leaving a major city, then this won't matter to you. I have had Sprint and AT&T network devices for my laptop and I have found Sprint to give the better connection when I'm in the middle of nowhere. On the EDGE network, i can't play games online very easily (and i'm talking pogo or yahoo games here) and my connection drops often. This was only a month ago. I never had these problems with my Sprint connection and am wishing I stayed with it.
So if anything keeps me away from this phone, it will be AT&T, not Apple.

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2009iphone does not have a flash player, it can play youtube videos but thats as close as it comesyes it does have a flash player. try watching the news.
the first iphone (2G) does not have. it is on news. its connected to internet and browse the national geograpic website, the chitah photo did not appear and a pop up "download the flash player" appeared on the screen. but when iphone 3G was connected the to same website, the photo appeared and no pop up to download flash appeared.
iphone 3G is more of an internet device than the iphone 2G, it will be use in net browsing more, that is why they installed a flash player.
Hi guys, just want to know does it has dual sim?

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2009this phone sucks! my friend has it. and only uses it to play games most of which he had to pay... moreNO? REALLY? pay for software? shock horror, my god ive never seen such a crime, your friend should really sue apple... oh wait no you cant he chose to pay for apps against getting any of the multitude of free ones available.
also you just listed the fact you like every feature that this phone is designed to promote, so really you love the iphone?
oh and call clarity is perfectly fine, you dont know what youre talking about
andrew, 08 Jan 2009is the iphone screen scratch proof?its scratch resistant but its defiantly not sapphire glass (something i would have really payed a little extra for)
is the iphone screen scratch proof?
this phone sucks! my friend has it. and only uses it to play games most of which he had to pay for (at least $4) per game. i'd be surprised if he wasn't nearly bankrupt. the only thing that i like about this phone is 1. the size of the screen 2. how touch sensitive it is 3. how good the videos/movies look on it 4. the size of the memory.
not a good phone for calling people.
sha, 07 Jan 2009hey can an one tell me how was the sound quality inn this phone for loud speker for mp3the loud speaker in pretty average for volume, clarity is there, and its pretty handy if youre in a situation where you cant use headphones and dont have any sort of output device to plug into
Anonymous, 08 Jan 2009Well, I'm only basing this on my personal experience here in Australia, where phone contracts ... morethere are rumors of a 32gb version of the 3g, but thats about as far as they would go before, like you said, Q4
steve jobs, 07 Jan 2009When is there going to be a new version of the apple iphone released?? do you think it will be... moreWell, I'm only basing this on my personal experience here in Australia, where phone contracts are generally 24 months. (Unless you are with 3-year Telstra, haha) So, considering so many people got it when it just came out, I'd still give it some time. I mean, Apple don't get any money for people upgrading contracts early, the Telcos do (I work for Optus) so I see no point for Apple to release another product when half of their target market will just not bother for the new handset, and take the software update instead.
So as a guess, I'd say the soonest we'll see any new model will be Q4, but then again, Apple have surprised us in the past.
i bought iPhone 3g a week back & i would say it's pretty impressive. the display is the best quality & i have never seen such a crisp one before. true there are minor goof ups here & there in the gadget but i would say they are trivial ones. call quality ia also clear & reception is fine. messaging takes time getting used to but it is only a matter of hours before one starts typing flawlessly.
overall a revolutionary gadget with exceptional music player in terms of audio quality.
thank you apple for this wonderful product
I've never seen a cell phone like that.Ican do whatever i like with my Iphone 3G.Thank you Apple for this product.
Duno, is this is iphone copy!
shimizu, 07 Jan 2009can u start the phone without having a sim card inserted?
and if u have to,does it have to be... moreMy iPhone is unlocked, I contacted my network and they sent me a message that told me how to do it, all I had to do was restore it in iTunes.
