It would've been a bigger step backwards if they put a metal back on and blocked out the signals.

Well... This is a nice package, but that is about it...
It can't compare to more advanced phones from Nokia or Sony Ericsson for example, and is WAY too limited to be used by a human with free will.
Apple screwed this one up too... :(

ive been with o2 for a very long time ive had phone after phone and and service hasnt been the best @ times nor the phone but really want the iphone dont care about mms, forwarding texts or anything id be more than happy to have an ipod & phone in 1 plus i believe there are 1000's of cool applications in the app store, but my question i guess really is:
my contract isnt up for review until apr09 and i was wondering does anybody know any loopholes to get my upgrade early without any penalty??

my apple itouch has poor wireless connectivity because of the metal casing
and you have to walk right up to the router for good signal

need your expert advise on my inquiries. Been thinking of buying an iphone 3G. that's why i need all the impt. info. that i can get. pls. give more dtails about the battery life and about the signal. does it have a strong signal or keeps on fluctuating. my unit now is sony ericson p1i and i hate the small keypad and the signal keeps on fluctuating especially in the malls. is it worth it buying an iphone 'cos the camera is only for taking pictures. there's no video. it's so expensive but there's no video. i'm thinking of replacing my p1i with an iphone3G but i'm not sure if i'l be making the right decision. i'm not also sure if we can customize the ringtone and the message tone. pls. help me.

Also i understand the back of iphone 3g is plastic, when the first iphone back was made of better material. Went a little backward on that one steve!

iPhone = best gaming phone ever made.
App store = Best games ever made for mobile phones (and iPod Touch's), best distribution method.
I think you'll be surprised by how many of the 300,000,000 downloads so far have been games, that's THREE HUNDRED MILLION since App store opened 5 months ago, sixty million a month or two million EVERY day.
