copy/paste, MMS, video recording, backgrounding, and other that the almost boring design,i resolved already with the jailbroken firmware. so u don`t really have to wait nomore for apple to come with this.
all your other features,i agree..i really wanted to see a 5mp camera with autofocus on it,sience this is THE phone,as they used to say.and the 3G front camere, there is no doubt that thing is missing.
apple will build new firmwares for THAT iphone.unlikely,nokia,se,htc,samsung,etc. will built new handsets if they have more than 2 upgrates to a firmware, and let`s not forget that the apple firmware will remain free for upgrates unless the company will go down one day because aliens came and took over it.
Pepsi, 04 Dec 2008I don't understand why people continue to bad-mouth the iPhone. By now everyone knows it ha... morewell said Mr.. i really liked ur speech..
I have to say that I am fairly pleased with my iPhone so far. It is far easier to use than any of the other phones / devices I have tried so far and I have to say that apple hit the nail on the head with this one. Here's why
1 - It makes and receives calls.
2 - It plays my music and videos for me.
3 - It provides a solid web browsing experience.
4 - Decent Email functionality
5 - Camera is integrated into facebook (really the only place I would put pictures from a cell phone)
6 - Pandora radio
7 - An army of people writing useful and useless apps
8 - podcasts
9 - Easy and intuitive to use
10 - maps and GPS location
11 - Skype on my Iphone via fring for free
12 - A plethora of accessories
There's more but for me these were some of the big ones.
Now no phone / device is perfect so here's what I would like to see in future updates of the phone / firmware.
1 - Copy and Paste
2 - Insert / Attach caller information to sms
3 - mms - (can't say I have ever really used this feature any way but it would be a nice option)
4 - A better integration of the GPS / Google Maps feature, I have had a few issues with the mapping sending me to the wrong address.
5 - Text to speech for the GPS directions.
6 - Over the air calender syncing (there's a free service for this but why not make it native and give the option of running it through google calendar?)
7 - Add flash support to the browser (seriously not everything flash is an advertisement)
8 - Enable more apps to run in the background like Pandora
9 - Add a video call camera to the front
10/11/12 - (this would probably only be useful to me so this doesn't really count) 40gig of memory minimum, usb host capability and camera raw support - I would really like to be able to just back up and view my photos from my dslr while I am traveling, then I can get rid of my epson photoviewer (I shoot camera raw for hdr).
Sure I would love to have a Nokia N97 or other such device with better specs but here's the problem. I live in the US and am not willing to pay $600-$800 for a phone. Also it has been my experience that the UI's from other companies are not as easy or enjoyable to use nor are they as easily expandable.
So if some GSM carrier in the US will pick up the N97 I will definitely consider switching from the iPhone and maybe even carriers.
For those of you who would like to suggest a windows mobile based device or blackberry, that's fine for you, but I prefer my phone to be functional for personal use as well as business and I am sick of Windows problems and bloatware. I conduct serious business on my laptop, take serious pictures with my dslrs and use a dedicated gps to travel long distances.
If someone comes out with a decently built device that is as easy to use and ubiquitous as the iPhone for $300 I will switch, until then I will make due with my iPhone.
silly phone.you can't shoot videos with the camera greek language is not supported (yet) and it's extremelly fragile (i've allready broke one)!!!I smashed it..!!! But it can be cracked easilly (oops i shouldn't have said that)
Anonymous, 04 Dec 2008Could you talk for yourself "I" and not "WE" i love my IPHONE and dont wand any nokia. I dnt knw what u want dude,u wrote evrywhere at this site that u use so many phone.is it possible n how can u knw about all phone's spec. remember this is not ur story writting site, go another site for ur bad comments,we dont need this
iphone is the best phone in the market.
the best touchscreen.
comparing iphone to any nokia is like comparing a car to a bike!
I don't understand why people continue to bad-mouth the iPhone.
By now everyone knows it has no Bluetooth or MMS so why complain about it constantly? if lacking these 2 features is such a big deal for you then go buy something else.
As for the people who actually bought it, then complained it has no MMS or Bluetooth shouldn't you have figured that out BEFORE you purchased it? It is very naive to purchase something without knowing what it is capable of. If you purchased something without doing your research you have no right to complain about your bad decision.

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2008apple can't compete its iphone to nokia's n97..come to think of it..2 years lock before you ca... moreThe iPhone already has 10,000 applications available from the App store.
How long will it take Symbian developers to port applications across to Nokia's new touchscreen platform?
How many will bother, especially as a lot of people just used pirated versions.
Developers of iPhone applications know they will get paid, website's that advertise them also get paid, that's why there has been an explosion of them.
Anonymous, 03 Dec 2008Unlocking is useless ? can you please tell me why ? are the app stor in yourp not the same pps... moreIf you unlock you IPHONE you will get custom made software witch can contain bugs .Evry software update will lock the IPHONE again so it will not be unlock.
I am not sure if you understand UNLOCKING prosses it is not a regular phone> Apple is smart and thay could even disable my chiness tv cable by softwareupgrede .
They want me (iphone users ) to buy the real one form the apple store ............

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Seriously man, that is such a contradiction, 'the best phones can do three things'
No, a phone needs to make and receive calls. Possible SMS. Thats the limit of what a phone needs.
What I was saying was that Apple fulfilled their criteria. They said the iPhone was for calls, internet and iPod, and it did all three.
You always bring it back to comparing it with the N95 and the Omnia, none of which are on the same level as the iPhone. N95 is a camera orientated media device, the Omnia a smartphone. The only phone you can compare with the iPhone is the iPhone.
And also, if an iPhone user says they have found the perfect phone, stop dragging them down. They may be the only one satisfied, but its not your job to go rain on their sunshine.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Me whining? I don't think so. As I have mentioned before two of my smartphones are iphone and n95. I have used MAC OS, win MO, symbian phones so shut your mouth and know your role jabroni! Iphone, n95, n82, xperia1....It doesn't matter what the phone is!...lol. The ROCKS says this " it is a matter of a preference" once again.
Anonymous, 03 Dec 2008Actually people who use iPhones are often responding to w*nkers like you who continuously try ... moreblah blah blah...Good for you. I also have an iphone stup!d. I prefer my n95, though. Again it is matter of a preference as I have mentioned many times.
