We're just trying to say that IT ISN'T A BAD DEV... moreFor the same cost as sending 40 MMS I can send 1280 equivalent sized emails.
Great idea MMS...
...for phone companies out for $$$.
If I wanted another Symbian device I would have bought one, I'm sick of the stupid way they do things (Where do I find out how much space is on the memory card this time? Tools? settings? applications? office? file manager wtf is with that, why don't they put it in the same place on all Nokia's?).
Besides if I wanted a symbian camera phone the Samsung i8510 is all over the N95's, they are old hat even though the screen resolution is the same as cutting an iPhone in half.
Windows, great if you like phones freezing and crashing in the middle of calls, when is Windows going to move on from patched up CE (WIN98) the guts of it is 10 years old?
It's great when you get caught between Microsoft and your device manufacturer when you want to find out wtf is going on with it, their repair service is crap in Australia they charge you to send a warranty repair to their single service centre.
Did HTC ever sort out that 3D issue with the Radeon chips and enable it or are they still humming and harring over driver issues?
That might bring them up to speed with the smoothness of the iPhone interface.
Anyway it's your choice, enjoy.
therock, 23 Nov 2008Dont assume that majority of the anti-iphone crowd have not used the iphone. I for one have on... moreHAVE to argree with buddy, iphone is for good looks. The is nothing special abt it,prefer the n95,n96 and HTC Diamond Pro now this fones are sweet.the y are all round fones en not every jack ass can afford them..............enjoy

We're just trying to say that IT ISN'T A BAD DEVICE!
It does not suck. Nor does it "outperform" your holy grail Nokia N95.
How ironic when one person mentions big egos whilst throwing dirt in the discussion! LoL
It's a good phone. It's the best media phone out there. No one comes close to the App store even.
It just works.
Then again, if you really must have your hand-writing recognition (LoL) and MMS (when is this technology gonna die!), there are other phones out there that will do it for you.
Check out for Nokia 5800 will it win the iphone

You forgot Vodafone and Three, Virgin piggybacks off the Optus network so aren't strictly a carrier.
andi, 22 Nov 2008This is good. I will buy one iPhone ( I don't know which iPhone or iPhone 3G ) because i like ... morethe iphone only carries one sim card, not two.

try to lock your screen if u don use it,, or u don know how to do it??... moreMate, are you serious? I've worked for every single phone carrier in Australia. Optus, Virgin, Telstra.
I know what I'm talking about when it comes to phones. I was one of only a few to own a 2G iPhone when they were first released overseas, as they weren't available here.
My 3G iPhone is working fine now, but I am now without my photos, music and my apps. And before you even think it, it didn't let me back up anything on my computer, nor let me restore my old backups onto my iPhone.
So there's MY OPINION, you don't have to like it.
iPhone's in MY OPINION, are not my cuppa tea. I don't like em. But to each their own I guess.
therock, 23 Nov 2008Dont assume that majority of the anti-iphone crowd have not used the iphone. I for one have on... moreI have an N82 and prefer my iPhone.
I use the net a lot and the N82 was nowhere near as good for this purpose, tiny little screen, little lines of text, that stupid little thing that's supposed to be a mouse and no qwerty keyboard, there is no comparison with Safari, even when you install Opera Mini.
The games are nowhere near the quality of iPhone games, check the Java version of spore or Ngage version of Asphalt there is no comparison.
I use headphones to listen to music, I feel no need to annoy people around me with my music, at home and in my car I use docks and listen through quality speakers.
I use my camera mainly to upload to Facebook, which from the Facebook App is seamless and a simple process, Facebook resizes the pictures anyway so 2MP is more than enough.
I also transfer files over wireless, B-base discover on my home network and Orb-live over ANY network (the server software running on my PC let's me access any file I want).
It's not an ego thing it's more to do with choosing the best tool to suit your needs, for me that's iPhone.
d[-_-]b, 23 Nov 2008I agree with that.
Although I don't like iPhones, I do have an actual reason. I work in a ... moreIt must be a network issue or a lack of training, I work for Vodafone Australia and the return rate is low, usually showing customers how to reset or telling them to restore from iTunes.
Our worst at the moment is the N96, almost half of them come back,
Dont assume that majority of the anti-iphone crowd have not used the iphone. I for one have one. IT IS A JUST A DECENT PHONE, not amazing or great. i also have the n95 and n93i. I prefer the n95.
Apple also tend to be used by certain group of people with big egos.
Some people prefer the n95 or n82 because it is an all around device.
the hype and worship of the iphone is ridiculous.
peace.

Although I don't like iPhones, I do have an actual reason. I work in a phone shop in Australia, and I have had more iPhones returned to me than any other phone. A 25% rate, compared to a 5% of Motorola.
My housemate has one as well, and I use it quite regurlarly only because it has decent apps and games.
But again it's only one mans opinion.
gor those who humiliate iphone and its feature, well, youve got to shut ur stuff -off together with your nokia because iphone works more intelligently with sophistication. of course all phones had its flaws but iphone itself is amazing compared to "all other" phones. the phone we used is based on what we need and iphone suits all newly, modern and latest tech that 1 must have on the palm of is hand..... iphone is fitted for new generation people... not unless u suck with nokia a use friendly but ouch it has no brain!iphone whe compared to human is "beauty with brain"!!!!!
i love this phone! i don't think i will touch an other phone ever again, the cool thing is you can update the software for free! and apple put new features into the phone every month! its amazing how this device is much faster and much better quality compare than the other smart phone in the market. 5 Star

Nokia's tend to be used by a certain group of people. LoL I won't go into detail!
Unless you have REALLY used the device (using it for a wekk does not count, so if you used it for a day, tough luck) your opinion is worthless.
