Iphone has no voice dialing for bluetooth headset, which makes no sense if you are driving! As was mentioned the iphone takes 2 hands for most things! Oh well i guess you can take 2 hands off the wheel to make a call! lol.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Get your facts straight, n95 has vga resolution at 30 fps. Iphone cannot pair with bluetooth stereo headphones!! Iphone has no auto focus and no flash! If your iphone goes dead you are tied to a charger. No popping in a fully charged battery for you! Soldered battery remember!

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970N95 has vga video which is good, if you want to transfer onto dvd. It is viewed on a qvga screen. Iphone has no video which is stupid and no a2dp and a soldered battery to the phone which is also stupid. The n95 has a better mp3 player then the iphone and certainly a lot louder! Shall i go on!!

Anonymous, 18 Sep 2008Having put my sim card back in my N95 & given up with the iphone because it's so horrible to u... moreTo anonymous (who already has posted this same comment two weeks ago).

On BT. You can pair any headset BT device with the iphone, so please do not spread false information. As for pairing it to your pc or mac, there is an application called "Air Share" that you can use instead of BT. It's faster and easier because you can simply drag and drop. Also, you need a reality check with the use of BT on phones.

On predictive text. I find this feature very helpful. It's 99% accurate and it helps speed up my typing. It would be nice if you can turn it off especially when you are typing a message in another language. But I need it on most of the time anyways, so it's not a major pain for most instances.

On iphone's font. You can enlarge it by going to the settings. I believe there are 5 font sizes you can choose from.

On SMS forwarding. Type your own sms. It's actually fun with the iphone. I only see this as a major problem if you forward SMS regularly every day, do you?

On sorting web pages bookmarks. Scrolling is a breeze with the iphone, and it's also fun. This would be a problem if your phone has an unresponsive screen, but not the iphone.

On call records. Incoming and outgoing calls are mixed but they are labelled as well, so you would still know whether it was in or out.

On Myspace music. That is really low, lol. You do not really go to myspace to listen to music. The iphone's ipod takes care of that.

Well the iphone is much better used with two hands because it's wider than most phones. Common sense. The iphone's screen is responsive but intuitive at the same time. Unless of course you have arthritis or the shakes syndrome, then I wouldo not advice you to get the iphone or any touchscreen phone for that matter. Although some actions you can operate the iphone with 1 hand. Like when you choose an application. You can use your thumb on that one. Or even when scrolling and flipping.

On screen size. It is true that even with the iphone's bigger than most screen, it's still not the most convenient way to browse the web. That's why it's only there if you need to do a quick search on the web, or when you need to go to the web and there's no PC or laptop available. It's not intended to replace your PC or laptop because no phone can. With your mentality like that, why was myspace an issue with you then? LOL.

On your N95's 5mp camera. That's nice, but sorry, my Canon is still better than any camera phone out there. The camera on my iphone will always be just a back up camera, even if it has 8mp, I would still take with me my Canon to take pictures.

That situation you've mentioned about the last app popping up when you've already exited out, is unheard of. Please video that situation and post it on YouTube. Otherwise, you are just making that up.

The qwerty keyboard of the iphone is bigger than most phones out there, and it is definitely bigger than your N95, so there is no reason for you to complain. Don't blame the iphone for your mistakes caused by your old habits.

The iphone 3g's jack is the standard 3.5mm, so it would accept any 3.5mm phonejacks. Please do not make false comments.

As for your N95. It only has a qvga resolution. Small 2.8 screen. Screen protection is plastic that scratches easily. Built with cheap plastic. Has a creaky, lose quality. Feels cheap in hands. Slow in retrieving pictures. Slow in zooming pictures. Slow in flipping pictures. Does not have an application store. You're left on your own in searching for 3rd party apps. Mp3 player not as organized as the iphone's. Mp3 audio quality is not as great as the iphone's. YouTube application is useless. Poor video quality. If you want more, I can continue.

AB, 18 Sep 2008It was good to read the 13 points from Anon which summs up what I think of the iPhone too afte... moreTo AB. I respect your opinion, but I just want to share my reaction to your opinion that I quite do not understand.

On your comment about not being able to compose a text in landscape mode on the iphone. With the iphone's screen size, the iphone's keyboard is already landscape on most phones. So how is that a pain? How is BT a joke with the iphone? My other phones in the past had more BT features than my iphone, yet I really don't see the difference. The iphone is a great phone. But sadly, it cannot please everyone. Enjoy your HTC HD if ever you get it.

That front camera feature for video calling has been around for a couple of years now, and really, I have never seen anyone use it. It's one of those features that's only good to brag about, but non-existent on usability.

MANGO, 18 Sep 2008one of the main features which is bluetooyh.video camera.and no fm.it is so unstatisfied thing... moreTo Mango. Yes, the iphone does not have BT file transfer, video rec and fm. But it does have many other features and qualities that are more important than those. Most people who could afford the iphone own a digital camera, like myself, so we end up using that anyway. As for BT file transfer, realistically based on my personal and my friends experience, this does not happen very often, and when you need to, you can always email it via your iphone. You can even email a saved note, a helpful feature that is not found in many other phones. As for, the iphone has Pandora, Stitcher, etc radio applications that are even BETTER than fm. So as you can see, you have more to gain that lose with the iphone, and for that, it is very worth it.

It is very unfortunate that such a sophisticated device does not have a front facing camera to enable video calls which is one of the attractive services of 3G.

This phone lacks many basic features like bluetooth, a good camera, mms etc . But agree with me or not iphone has changed things forever in the vast world of mobiles . It has introduced some features like , multi-touch UI , Auto rotation , The best Web browser etc . There features has brought revolution in a true sense . If its not a revolutionary phone , then tel me why are Nokia , Sony Ericcson , Samsung etc. are launching ' iphone killers ' , like Omnia , Xperia x1 , Nokia tube etc . Nobody hasn't ever launched an ' N95 killer ' Lol . We were almost done using same old traditional N series , Walkman series . . . . . . . . Thanx 2 apple . Itz a revolution . . . . . !

Just too hard to use esp the text function which should be in landscape, and the Bluetooth joke. Its a nice looking phone and great UI but I text a lot and want proper B'tooth so not much use to me!
The new HTC HD looks like the phone for me!

Having put my sim card back in my N95 & given up with the iphone because it's so horrible to use, I realise one of the most annoying things about the iphone is point 8) below.

                                    1) iphone bluetooth is incompatible with most other devices. It won’t pair with my PC, my laptop my son’s phone, my printer, my wife’s laptop, phone etc !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe this was done deliberately by Apple so you have to use itunes or some such reason. That makes me very angry. Bluetooth is supposed to be a universal standard like USB. In making the iphone incompatible with most other bluetooth devices they have in effect consciously made it a defective product !
I’ve never heard of such a thing. It’s a completely crass thing to do.

                                    2) Can’t switch off predictive text. To add to this, the predictive text you’re stuck with doesn’t seem to learn !

                                    3) Can’t enlarge font size in text entry box. Why have a relatively large phone screen then leave the customer with tiny fonts !

                                    4) Cant forward SMS’s or phone numbers.

                                    5) Can’t sort order of internet bookmarks

                                    6) Last Incoming & last outgoing calls mixed up in one call log so difficult to distinguish outgoing from incoming calls.

                                    7) Myspace music doesn’t play. Same with other sites where programmes such as flashplayer etc are needed because those programmes don't work on the Apple platform.

                                    8) Here’s one of the most irritating niggles with the iphone. Can't use the iphone with one hand unlike most phones where a little group of selection keys gives access to most functions within easy reach of the thumb of the hand you are holding the phone with. The iphone touch screen is too sensitive to the duration of finger stroke. It needs quick stabs with index finger so thumb doesn’t work well. The iphone is a big slippery lump you need two hands to operate where icons are dotted all over the place rather than all within easy reach of your thumb anyway.

                                    9) Any phone screen, including the iphone screen, is too small to use the internet conveniently. I've got a PC at work & two at home. Do I really need the internet in my pocket ? No not with a silly little phone screen. So the main reason to justify having an iphone, namely 3G, isn’t a valid enough reason for putting up with the poor ergonomics & camera.

                                    10) The camera is of course not as good as for example the N95 which has 5M pixel & a Carl Zeiss lens.

                                    11) When you’ve finished with the phone then press home key the next time you use it, the previous application you’ve finished with opens up !
When I go to use my phone I expect the home key to give me the desktop for me to select the application I want to use. Not the application I finished with hours ago !

                                    12) The Qwerty keypad is so small you keep hitting the adjacent key by mistake. I’m so used to to entering text with multiple key strokes via the telephone keypad on my N95 that it’s quicker & more reliable & less fiddly than the tiny Qwerty keypad on the iphone.

13 Iphone won’t take a standard earphone jack whereas Nokia had the sense to make the N95 so it does take standard jack.

                                    Summary:
The iphone is very slick & impressive, but alas ergonomically poor. The wow factor is there initially, but then you find it’s not so nice to use. In fact it's a bit gimmicky & I can't forgive Apple for the bluetooth issue. I found the 13 irritating problems listed above within a week of owning my iphone. No doubt there are many more problems one would find over a longer period of time.

I'm happy to be taking my iphone back to the shop & switching back to my Nokia N95. I’m very very disappointed with the iphone.
