Well, seeing things from both sides, i guess the only main down fall of this iPhone is the lack of Bluetooth FTP.. I min the rest of its features are acceptable enough, like its camera, so what if justs 2 mpx, even the famous n95 given its 5mpx sensor with flash is still not good enough during very low light conditions, pictures still appears noisy even with flash, so i guess the imaging capability of iPhone isnt really an issue at all. Let's just hope apple will finally realize that Bluetooth FTP is really important for a day to day phone so please, MR. APPLE, sir just give us that feature., will you? =)

I used to have the N95, and I am telling you, web browsing using the N95 was frustrating & disappointing. I prefer the iphone even if it does not support Java. I never had a problem browsing the web with the iphone w/out java support. So I don't see why some people make a big deal out of that. You only mentioned multi-touch. How about the very good quality materials that is used on the iphone. The scratch proof glass screen. The smooth UI. The tons of apps that you can download. Apps that are reliable, safe and risk free. Apple does not leave its users to go to unknown sites to load apps that who knows could harm their phones. Also, the high quality music and video files that you get from itunes instead of illegal song and video downloads that are encouraged by other phonemakers. And who knows if those files are clean or corrupted. How can you not see those other good qualities of the iphone that other phones don't even consider?

I don't think the iphone, or any phone for that matter, is ideal for editing documents, lol. I mean I see a lot of smartphones, that on paper, seem to be able to replace a PC, but in reality, they're mediocre performers. If you are heavy on projects, like me, that require pc tools, get a laptop for pete's sake. Don't let a phone do the job meant for a pc. And don't give me that sarcastic comment about carrying a home theater around because a laptop is not as big and heavy as a home theater. And any pro who is constantly on a project would always have a laptop, unless of course you're from a poor country who gets under paid and who cannot afford a laptop, lol. Then I feel sorry for you that you have to do everything on your phone, lol. Good luck, and no offense, but the iphone is definitely not for destitutes like you =)

For its multi touch screen function n design i think its far more better than 'most-popular n95 8GB' or watsoever Although, i phone is aint a java-enabled ph, no video recorder, 2mp camera without weird-looking xenon flash,i think its not gonna b an issue cuz tis is juz a phone! as lots of such gadgets already been made as it should b such as HD camcorders,(yet still aint works 4 most hp) ,digital cameras,(for now, camera with more than 12MP is available) ipod, pc or mac. Is there nothing wrong for Apple Iphone maker without fits all of this functions to tis tiny little gizmo. Apple is one of the best mac pc maker while nokia is no 1 well-known hand phone maker in tis globe! so everybody knows about

We're just realistic enough to consider that no phone out ther... morei was going to buy iphone until i read your comments sir, if you say iphone is useful and helpful, that i disagree since you mentioned iphone cannot edit documents? i dont consider that helpful at all... im looking for a phone that could do more, i like music and i have ipod but not all the time that i like to carry it on my pocket.. i have sound system at home and obviously nobody wants to carry it lol, surround sound is a plus.. digicam, like ipod, its very inconvenient carrying them all in my pocket, who would like to carry digis, ipods, sound system at the same time?is there anybody??
so definitely a phone that does it all is very convenient, helpful and most especially usefull... so anybody else can recommend other phones that iphone?
i thought iphone have it but because of the comments i read, its just a phone added with a touchscreen...

i use an iphone while at work as we have restricted internet access.i use it on 3g and safari browser is great the tariffs give unlimited access so for this purpose is great!intigrated ipod and fab gps this phone is a must have.im not overly bothered about the camera.if i want to take good quality pictures i will take my digital camera with me.sore points-battery is poor.if u use it alot it needs charging around 3 times a day not always convienient!also safari freezes or kicks u out completely.Still the BEST PHONE IN THE WORLD

The e90 does have better resolution and dpi than the iphone. But still, it has a weird screen form for video viewing, and 480x320 on the iphone's 3.5 screen is nothing to scoff at either.

We're just realistic enough to consider that no phone out there has everything that everybody wants. That 800 resolution that you see on the e90 represents columns, and because of the e90's unusual width, it would be more than the iphone's. But notice the second number that represents rows. The e90 only has 352, while the iphone has 480. The iphone's resolution is half VGA while your e90 is only qvga. So the iphone has the better resolution and would display videos better compared to the e90's weird screen not ideal for videos. As for web browsing, yes, it can capture more horizontally, but vertically, no. Web browsing is still better with the iphone. E90 may have the hardware keyboard, but scrolling, zooming & panning is not as effective and efficient as the iphone. The Diamond does not have multi-touch. It has touch flo. You cannot pinch to zoom in and out with the Diamond. Multi-touch is what makes the iphone so responsive and intuitive, but the downside is, it's a challenge right now to incorporate copy and paste w/out compromising the responsiveness of multi-touch. You can turn on ipod and web browse at the same time with the iphone, and have messenger working in the background as well, and also installing an application in the background. I do that all the time with my iphone. So there's your multi-tasking. If you don't have the person's number that you need to send sms to, then find it and don't let other people send your sms for you. They're your friends, not your secretary. If you want to notify 10 people all at once, you can do that as well without hassling anyone to forward sms for you. You're probably a cheap person. You send an sms then tell the recipient to forward it for you. No wonder you have that mentality, hahahaha. Cheapo =)
N91 and N81 has the best audio? Can you tell me that all N91 and N81 owners does not own ipods? Sorry, but if what you're saying is true, no one would buy ipods, everyone would just buy N91 and N81 =) And fyi, I used to have the N95 and it is not as good as the iphone in terms of mp3 functionalities and audio quality. And hello, a phone is not really for playing loud music. I think you're getting the concept of a phone in a wrong way. So your N81 has surround sound effects? LOL. Does it really sound as good as the Bose home theater surround effects? LOL. WOW, lol.
We don't need BT transfer. We have Flutter application to do that. Can your phone drag files from your pc to your phone without the use of USB?
We don't need our iphone to record videos. We have our digital cameras to do that, in better quality than any camera phones. Sorry but we won't have a camera phone do the job of a digital camera and give us so-so results.
Iphone's camera takes good pictures that look better than cameraphones with higher megapixels, because 2mp is really enough for phones.
We cannot copy and paste, but we have multi-touch that is more useful.
The iphone does multi-tasking, so you are wrong in saying that it does not.
We don't need sms forwarding because we can actually create send our own sms.
We don't need to edit documents with our iphones because we believe that those chores would be done more effectively & conveniently on a pc or mac or laptop. As you can see, we iphone users (most of us) can afford to buy laptops and digital cameras.
We don't need Java on our iphone. Gosh, makes me wonder if you own a pc at home or even just a laptop when you're on the go. I don't ever recall not having java getting in my way when I browse the web w/ my iphone.
3g signal has just been improved with the latest 2.1 update. It was already working fine for me before the update. Here in LA at least.
If you're saying that the iphone is slow, then that would make your phone very, very slow.
Iphone's gps is sufficient and fast. Better than my N95 that told us turn right on a street that we have already passed 5 seconds ago, lol. I actually only used it once when my friend drove and he didn't have a navi in his car. I don't even use my iphone's gps. My car has one =)
Iphone apps are very useful, you cannot say that they're not when you don't even own one =)
Iphone has the best mp3 player, and we don't care where they get their chips from.
Iphone already has a set of ringtones, that should be enough. We have better things to do with our iphones than going through its mp3 player looking for a ringtone, LOL. Is that what you do all day? HAHAHAHA.
The iphone is a very useful and helpful phone. It is also fashionable compared to your creaky, plasticky Nokia, although they're actually alright. Not to mention that Nokia screens easily scratches and it does not feel solid. It feels very cheap in your hands.
I guess a cheap person like you deserves a cheap, plasticky phone like Nokia =) Poor cheapo. He uses his phone as his surround sound system and uses his phone to take pictures and videos of events. How poor =)
As for me, I have my handy canon SD digital camera that takes excellent pictures and videos, then I transfer them to my iphone for my viewing pleasure and to show my friends as well. I listen to my Bose surround sound system at home when I'm in the mood for loud music (not some phone with surround sound, ewwww). As for projects, I use my PC at home or my HP Laptop when I'm on the go and get things done on 15 minutes on a chore that would take an hour on a phone, lol. I'm so blessed to afford stuff and not depend every thing on a phone like you. Ewwww, poor.

The fact that apple have left out these features could be a marketing trick - maybe its to do with keeping up their profits. think about it, the first gen iphone came out with a dozen problems with it and despite that, it sold really well but due to some of the "Problems and lackings" of the 1st phone, iphone lovers wanted more so when iphone 2 came out, with some of the problems fixed, again, it was a real big seller, now when iphone 3 comes out, apple will again include a more polished version of the phone so that people buy it again, its like the ipod - they all do the same thing but people seem to want the latest one, even though they do exactly the same! if apple released a phone with everything in it for the first time, then people wouldnt go back buying their phones over and over again and the fact that apple have now become a big player in this market due to their innovative approach to user interfacing, this allows them more scope for profits. leaving out basic things such as bluetooth werent accidently, watch, the next iphone will have bluetooth included or something else missing included and watch how many people actually buy the new version, even though they might have the first two at home, just my opinion on this.

I've heard alot of mixed opinions about the iphone but I still want it, you can say what you want about this phone but thanks to Apple all the other competitors have had to drastically step up their game, the bottom line is the iphone isnt perfect but apon its release resulted in these other cell phone makers like LG and HTC coming out with their own cloned versions of the iphone and trying to have on their generic versions the features that the iphone lacked and the fact is the overall quality of the generic versions dont equal that of the iphone, Apple still has plenty of room for improvements on this phone but I can guarantee that their working on improving this phone even more, its just like when the first generation ipod originally came out and each year it evolved more and more resulting in more features as each ipod released was better than the previous and now comparing the current ipods to the first generation would be a joke, so just like the ipod the iphone has some more evolving to do

You wanna know why your precious Iphone is being ripped to shreds in the forum? ARROGANCE. Calling your phone "best" in the face of all its OBVIOUS shortcomings is really offensive. That cocky attitude about:
"having the best camera even if it's 2 MP",or
"who needs a bluetooth that really works", or
"who uses MMS anyway", or
"who forwards SMS anyway".
That's the surefire way to get your precious Iphone fanny toast. And, oh by the way, it's not that people are sourgraping because they can't afford this. They can, but they chose to buy other products, even more expensive products (read: SE, Samsung, Nokia, LG)because those truly have cutting-edge technology. Not like this dinosaur.
As poor as the poll results show: 7.4, 7.1, 7.2. Tsk tsk, this is really revolutionary. Possibly one of the lowest rating ever given to any phone. And it's all down to ARROGANCE. If Apple had just been more truthful and marketed it as an Ipod with some phone functions, then people would have been more forgiving. But calling it "the best"...LOLZ! Pathetic!

The only reason people try and rip this phone to shreds is because deep down inside there sad little minds they know that is one of the best mobile devices in the world at the present time, there is a endless amount of excellence with this phone its hard to find something that isn't good with it. Well done apple....I think the "Nokia" fans need to leave and get over themselves seriously.....
