nick, 02 Sep 2008yea lol. steve jobs also cheated on his "3G speeds test" when he said the n95 took 37 seconds ... moreHe didn't cheat. Regardless of WHY the iPhone was faster than the N95, the fact of the matter is that it was faster, which was exactly what he'd set out to show.
End of story.

If you knew anything about the iphone 3g, you would not be po... morethe top two on the benchmark list (n82 and n95) are far more versatile than the iphone. I also have the IPHONE (along with some of the phones on the list and I also have the n93i and the moto q9h) but I prefer the n95. The iphone's main attraction, as people have mentioned, are the apple brand name and the large touch screen...thats all.

If you knew anything about the iphone 3g, you would not be posting this. I've had many of these phones at the top of the list and none of them even come close to the iphone 3g!

Apple's got the smarts to make a great product in the Imac which competed excellently with specs of contemporary IBM devices. They didn't do so well this time, falling far short especially on hardware features. Still, I'm hoping their next device would close the gap.
Overall rating: Poor.

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2008have been using my iPhone for just over a month now and I think it rocks!! The iPod is awesome... morei agree that what the i-phone does it does good but you cannot slate it..If you bought a budget fone and come on here and complained its web browser was poor you still have no right..The specs are clearly shown on here and the store will advise you about your purchase to see if it will fit your needs...The i-phone does not have a powerful camera that will win awards but you knew that before you bought it so do not come on this forum saying i-phone is second rate..
The i-phone does need a big increase in spec to keep up with whats available today but in a way thats wat makes it different,,its email,,big touchscreen etc and does not claim to be ultimate smartfone...
Two things will happen,,
1)its going prepay before xmas so people who want phone but would not stump up cash will now see this as a viable option boosting sales..
2)The third effort may suprise us all with a hefty hardware spec upgrade

have been using my iPhone for just over a month now and I think it rocks!! The iPod is awesome, the browser works a treat (love the facebook app and gmail at my finger tips when ever I need or want it), the phone is fine - I can make calls, hear people, people can hear me etc, texting is piece of cake... All in one device!! I would recomend trying before you buy though, that way if you don't like it you don't have to write a bad review about an awesome phone!

Although I like the i-phone, I do feel all the features are a little bit modest, and I believe Apple have under-estimated how quickly rival companies could come up with similar devices but with better specs. Next i-phone must have at least what most new phones boast at the moment.

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2008any1 who bags the iphone is just jealous cause they cant get/afford 1. I do have the iphone...along with a nokia n93i and mot0 q9h. I prefer the n95 which is worth more than the iphone...price and quality.

I am thinking of buying one to use with my tmobile service... moreThe Apple iphone will seem to have a few problems with the signal and the signal strength, but i would recomend that you upgrade your phone to version 1.1.4, if its the 3G i would suggest that you upgrade to version 2.0.
worst case scenario get yourself a turbo sim for your iphone, in that case you do nt need to jail break your phone.
