hmm. I actually like the iphone it's just that there are some small improvements that could have been done such as mms and copy paste. If only it had those basic features then i would have considered buying one. But as it is i think it's overpriced if you don't get it with a plan.

You obviously do not own an iphone because iphone zooms in and out effortlessly and does not fail. Unless of course you have arthritis or the shake syndrome, then the iphone is not for you =)
Your kidding yeh it does fail trust me yours just has not yet, alot of people say its kind of very fiddly.
It does have great sound quality. It's among the best.

Using it responsibly will not scratch the screen. Unless of course you use a knife as your stylus. But then it only responds to your fingers so why would you use a knife or a fork ? =)

Why would I copy and paste events in the organizer? It does have "repeat" options for scheduling events.
No no I mean in general no copy and paste and really people need it because why was such a think invented otherwise. Oh I know to not be used. And to not save time too.
What too many things happening are you talking about? You are not making any sense.
So you have zooming, active links and scrolling technology happening at the same time so really that is alot of info processing at the one time. There are bound to be problems. I wonder what its going to run like when ur memory is getting full.

Of course most phones has synching capabilities, but not as easy and as organized as itunes =)

Not all phones support mobile YouTube. That's been a problem with most phones. Users have been having a hard time accessing YouTube through their phones. With the Iphone, it's a breeze.
I have never seen anyone have a problem surfing youtube so I cant comment on that one.
Watch your data usage on Push Email? You don't need to fool. It's all included in your internet package, lol. Where are you from? LOL

2mp is not a fault. It's actually enough for phones. 5mp does not really make sense, unless you blow up pictures you've taken, but if you intend to blow up a picture, why the hell are you using a camera phone? Use
a standalone for Pete's sake. And who uses video calls on phones and pay extra charges for it? Is that really necessary? It's more of a distraction if you ask me. Video recording? Yeah, I would use your camera phone to record a video of your wedding or birthday or graduation day, LOL.
You still thinking of your own needs on this one ok lets start with, everyone I know wants a 5MP in there phone now days. For incase they did not want to carry there phone, camera, laptop, skis, shoes, snowboard and anything else they may need. You know less effort people are getting lazy now days. Imagine if I told you, you could have 2 things in one little hand held device, not carry your house with you.
People that are not as single narrow minded really like video calling now days otherwise it would be gone!!!
Sounds like you need to learn what the public are wanting and asking for not what you think is good for you.

Oh you should listen to my friends who do not have the iphone about their complaints about their phones as well. Believe me, other phones have more issues than the iphone. Name me one that doesn't and I'll shut up =)
This is true all phones stuff up so ill give you that... BUT ON DAY ONE WITH LIKE UM 10 to 12 OF THEM RETURNED WITH ISSUES. No no I dont recall 10 Nokias coming back or Blackberrys or SE when they are released no only 1 or 2 will return.

Fluid UI - yes, your E71 has that too, but not as good as the iphone
Intuitive Touchscreen - E71 does not have this
Very Good mp3 player - yes, your E71 has that as well, but not as great as my iphone. Yes, the iphone has settings. But it's already great as it is. You use the settings a lot with your E71? Good luck =)
VGA screen - ok it's half vga, but it's still better than your E71's qvga =)
Scratch-proof glass display - your E71 display is made of plastic, my iphone's made of glass. I don't need to elaborate =)
Very Good Organizer - multi task? why would I need that on my organizer? but I think I would say that your E71 has the better organizer. It's made for that. Still, it has a small display. Hard to read.
User Friendly UI - multi-touch is better than your new s60 whatever. Although Nokia's UI is also good compared to Samsung and SE. Touch and hardware keys are of different worlds anyway.
Lots of SAFE applications - your E71 has that too, if you're careful enough and really know what you're doing. Too risky. Less risky with my iphone.
The BEST visibility under sunlight - yes, I do, and most people do, but you shouldn't worry, Nokia is 2nd to the iphone for legibility under direct sunlight.
Very fast and easy zooming - your E71 does that too w/ a little lag here and there, my iphone does it effortlessly
Screen turns off auto - that's a helpful feature with touch screens, it does not apply to your E71
Full touch qwerty keyboard - Now on this department your E71 would do better
Easy syncing of files via itunes - but you would eventually need too sync w/ your pc or laptop, unless you'd rather work on your E71 all the time, which I doubt.
Cool design - the iphone is a full touchphone, it wouldn't have hard answer and end buttons. It's on the screen. Gosh.
YouTube Application - yes, your E71 may be able to play YouTube as well, but how about the 2.4 qvga display of your E71 vs the iphone's 3.5 half vga? Which one do you think would be better to view YouTube videos on?
Weather Application - your E71 has that too, but not as handy and as quick as the iphone's
Lots of Games - your E71 support lots of s60 games too, but it's not free. A lot of games are free on the iphone application store
Dictionary application - your E71 has it onboard too, but again not as fast and handy as the iphone's
Bible application - It's the word of God
Currency Converter Application - your E71 has converter too, but again, not as fast and as handy as my iphone
Stock Market Application - I'm not, but it's nice to have in case I need it. I'm a John Hancock investor, so it can be handy.
Password protected - your E71 does that too, but with the iphone, you can set the protection only to those applications that you feel the need to protect, not all. Meaning, you can have someone else use your iphone and feel safe that they can only use the apps that they need to see.
Pandora Radio - It is radio, minus the ads, so it's even better than your E71 FM radio, ewww.
Plus more, more, more faults? Iphone does not have faults. It does not have all the features, but it does not mean that it's faulty. Does your E71 have everything? I didn't think so either =)
Bluetooth - I can connect it to my headset, and that's all that I need.
Lack of copy and pasting - it's not important to us iphone users, obviously.
Can your E71 view movies better than my iphone? Can your E71 screen deter scratches as my iphone can? Can your E71 scroll up and down as fast as my iphone? Can your E71 browse the web as fast as my iphone can? Does your E71 have an internal memory of 16gb? Can you zoom in and out of images as swiftly as my iphone can? Does your E71 have an acceleromometer? Does your E71 have a half VGA screen?
Now, it seems like you're the one who missed a lot of disadvantages of your E71. I love my iphone, while you also love your E71 so much that you came to check out the iphone, LOL. Leave your balls where they belong. In your pants =)

Yes, you can send text to multiple recipients with the 3g iphone. Know the phone before you comment

Voice dialing is boring. I didn't buy the iphone to do voice calling but to touch the screen to make calls =)

Yes you can connect your headset via bluetooth, that's all we need.

Not a very popular feature. So who cares? Don't buy the iphone then =)
2. No AD2P on the Bluetooth
Good, this would keep my cheap/lazy friends from asking me to transfers files that I bought/downloaded =)
3. CAN’T share ANY (mp3, images, videos....) files via Bluetooth,
I can share files. I can email it. That means, I don't have to stand right next to them just so I can send them a file =)
4. Can't use as a wireless modem, (you pay ridiculous data charges to activate internet on your
phone, but cannot connect it to your
PC and browse when you are at home)
Have you heard of USB cable? Gosh, some people =)
5. No copy and paste,(cannot copy a part of a.... say.... email & send it....have to type it out yourself)
You are wrong. You can forward an email. If you only want to send a portion of it, just delete the unwanted lines. But why would I want to do that? Unless of course you want to hide something =)

worst camera i've ever seen..... photos look like they have come out of a VGA camera)
You are wrong again. The iphone takes good pictures. But who cares? I never compromise with pictures by using camera phones. I use my standalone camera anyway.

Again, who cares? I'd rather use my standalone camera. Unless of course you can't afford to buy a good quality camera, then I guess you do need an all around phone, lol. You won't get great pictures or videos though. Just mediocre ones =)
8. No front camera
Does not make a lot of sense to use this. I know phone that has this feature yet the owners never uses it. What a waste.
9. No flash
No need. I don't use phones to take pictures.
10. No JAVA support
Yet it's still has the best web browser.
11. No physical keyboard (BELIEVE me! this alone is a deal breaker...touch keyboard as
good as it looks...once you use it then only you come to know about the
importance of having a hard keypad)
Look up what FULL touch phone means =) The iphone is a full touchscreen phone, it wouldn't be if it has a hard keyboard =)
12. No 3G network yet in India So why pay for expensive 3G
phone if you can't use its 3G services so,for India , iPhone 2.0 is no better than its first version

13. No removable battery. (You cannot change
battery. Have to send it to apple outlet.. Come on now!!!!...This is not an
iPod . Its a bloody phone. You cannot live without phone for 2-3 days)
Battery is good for 4 or 5 years. By then, it's time to get a new iphone =)

16gb is more than enough for most people. Unless of course you do not have a dvd player and a TV set at home to watch movies =)

It has mp3 player and Pandora. What more do I need? =)

As long as it rings when I get an incoming call, I'd be happy =)

Bought the Iphone last year in Sept/07 just recently upgraded to the iphone 3G This is the best phone ever well done Apple keep it up :)

Ok i know a lot of people talking here bad for iphone..I hate only iphone, because the data plan is to high 30.00 in USA, and $20.00 unlimited text..But before we was paying 20.00 data and including text..Now apple going smart for them pocket..But if you ask me about iphone 3g, i would say great job, and no one cares about video recording or some stupid mms..That options more using kids, and not adults..Why you want video on your phone ? you will go take video every day ? you will do MMS every day ?? im sure not..I have video camera 8.0mp in my house and whenever i need i take with me..Iphone or iphone 3g, about same, only they add GPS and 3G on last iphone..But i love nore 1st iphones material, i mean this one can be more easy scratches on the back side, and apple must fix some problem which getting allot of iphone 3g users..Problem is, let say we go APP STORE and looking some program, iphone by it self going home screen or freezing some times...Otherwise, great system and phone..

The hype has finally ended. It just came out here in the Philippines and you won't see anyone lining up for this. There were some ocassional glances but most turned away when the saleslady admitted the lack of features, which ironically are already standard in most existing phones, even old ones.
Enlightened customers simply saw no logic in spending a lot just to downgrade to a phone with actually LESS features. In the vernacular, it's "nilalangaw", a reference to flies and how only they seem to be interested in this, along with other forms of rubbish.

This phone came out in the Philippines about 2 days ago and I finally had the chance to try it out. I went over the brochure and the phone itself with the saleslady, trying to convince myself to get it. I mean, I was waiting for v.2 when iphone first came out. But... I just couldn't bring myself to buy it.
I have a 2 yr old w800 and even that could take videos. I sometimes take mms for business purposes and my w800 can do that too. I receive text messages often that need forwarding and my w800 can do that too. Iphone can't???!! WTF?! And, oh yeah, the Music Store isn't available for the Philippines yet. Just in case your wondering.
I post here, not because I want to unnecessarily trash Apple, but as an honest feedback. Get your act together, Apple! Your lagging in minor details called "features". Wake up!
