i had nokia n95 and i sold it yes, because it was FAT and it was looks like 1945 phones..this is 2008 and fat phone?\ like n95?? go away
I have to say that as a mac user at home and work the iphone makes alot more sense to me than nokia or samsungs etc as it is just easy to syncronise all the info on the phone.I did have an n95 used it for 2 days and got rid of it. it was a nice attempt but not quite there. it froze, no qwerty, very cheaply made and applications are not of the same quality as the iphone's. I have completely given up on nokia as a serious phone. my last attempt was the n71. gave that away too. people complain about the iphone that you cannot forward sms's. you can there is an application called smsd which one can download and does that. video camera again application available. the speed of the 3g and wireless is faster than most phones. i have to say i do miss not having a video camera on such an amazing screen.
to the person who posted below... folow your own advise and check out the N95 or later this year the N96, both of which blow iPhone features out of the water. All you get with iPhone that you cant get with anyone else is iTunes and apple Apps OTA... but there are equivilent softwares available, and some better from 3rd part developers... I enjoy having options, and iPhone limits me to what i can have on my phone.
Been using the iphone 3g for the past 3 weeks now and all i can say is wow! Its not perfect(there is no such thing as the perfect phone) but it is by far THE best phone out! I don't care that it can't send picture messages or take video's etc. The Internet browser is brilliant, the App store is also very very good, there are so many free applications, some of them are so cool! Also it's an ipod, has GPS(sat nav), wi-fi, and the touch screen works perfectly unlike alot of touch screens! Don't worry about the anti apple people saying its rubbish, they don't know what they are talking about. Get one and i guarantee you won't regret it!
for all the people who are just reading other peoples opnions please give yourself a chance to post your opinions after you have had a chance to physically use the iphone 3g and its competitors. to me personally the hard part part is i cant even think of any phone in the market today that comes close in features, applications, technology and the pure pure enjoyment of using the iphone 3g.
from a person who has changed dozens of phones over the last few months including the old iphone i can tell you once you set up your email, music, unbelievable applications and programs to your phone and get used to the typing which becomes very easy and fast after a little practice it will be very very difficult to settle for another phone. they all feel and look prehistoric including the samsung i900 which is a very bad attempt to compete with the 3g iphone.try the touch screen of the iphone compared to all the other phones claiming a touch screen there is no comparison.
is that it? that's it? oh awful.
and just give high price, no java support on browser, so why apple made this piece of junk.
just selling the brand? and some people buy it, because they eat the brand, not for usage..
looks cool that's it? ahhh apple shame on you
Also, just to show you all somthing, go read the opinions posted at the Nokia N95 and the Samsung page... you will see they compare the phones to eachother, iPhone isnt even compared except in brief comments saying "good bye iPhone" and things of that nature... Mac is Wac, also known as Macintrash...
Unfortunatly, i was waiting for the iPhone 2.0 (thats what came out) or some NEW upgraded phone to thier iPhone, but thats all they did... just upgraded thier damn phone almost 2 years later to work on 3g and download 2x faster. There are so many other features that i want in a phone, and i want to be able to use apps from other companies, not just Apple. in my opinion Nokia N96 has taken the lead, 5mp camera/video recording, TV tuner and TV out. Video editing, FLASH internet which iPhone lacks... and a whole lot more, not to mention 16g built in and 16g expandable to 32g total space. Thats hard to beat, not to mention EVERY single other feature iPhone has. I hope iPhone does come out with a NEW new phone, because they have alot of potential, but they have alot of competition who have been in the game for a while.
The phone as an embeded battery and different software very difficulty 2 operate and its has very poor battery.this phone is not better than omnia samsung beats iphone dont go for this phone
Those who say there is no video camera, and all complaining are all retarted. search something called jailbreak! do that to your iphone and it will do everything every other phone cant. sooooo many free applications it will make your camera into a video camera.the iphone is great because of its third party apps and hackability. i called my house on my ipod touch via VOIP!!! for those who dont know what that is, its voice over internet which means free calling. with 3g, you can call anywhere you want for free.
It's US$1,325 for a 16Gb in my country.
2mega? No video? No setting at all? Come on man, grow some balls!!!
No file manager? You want me to tie my PC on my neck just to transfer everytime? Come back to earth!!!
Even my 2-year-old N73 shoot much better pic and vid. I rushed to the store on the very 1st day, spent this much money, just to lose confidence on what it gives over this hard earned US$1,325. And oh boy, i couldn't believe i'm such an id*ot!
My friend just got his Samsung i900 omnia.. It's way better and its camera is unbelievable. It waits for you to smile and then it shoots itself. How nice. I'm so jealous and ready to trade off my f*cking iphone 3g
i have been trying to buy an iphone outright from everywhere and the only place i found them was at jb hifi at the strand arcade in the city. it was only $899
I Had nokia n95, and omg, i sold it because it was FAT, and you know what? You will understand what is Technology, and then you will know what is iphone..When N95 came out and start sell on stores, you saw any Big lines,? 8-9 hours lines ?? You think all stupid and you smart ?..Iphone is the best phone, and who cares about mms? how many mms you will do every day ?? But this phone is great with all, and this is will be 1st phone..N95 also has a cheap plastic materials, and loos slider..That's it
Hi I have purchased the new apple iphone 16gb 3g. I also own a Nokia N95 8Gb. I think the iphone is not much more than one huge ipod. You have to purchase the ringtones, no mms, no bluetooth accept headset blue toothing. I really dont know what the fuss is about with this phone. I personally dont like it. Nokia users dont get it you will hate it.
This phone is over rated by far.
To many customers have come back to my store asking for their money back.
It's an ok phone but there are other handsets out there worth your money. Handsets that can read any sim card and number, unlike the I phone that is assigned to the one number.
It may look pretty but don't judge a phone by it's cover ( as many customers do )>
