Returned my girlfriends iphone 3g to AT&T today. This has to be the worst phone ever created. The most unreliable, unusable phone on the market. My girlfriend was literally put to tears many times by the horrible malfunctions this phone exhibits in spades. Numerous hours were spent trying to resolve issue that were impossible to resolve. If you buy this phone you will regret it. Had to restore phone so many times you would not believe. COnstant freezing, locking up, shutting down. I have never seen anything like this in my life, oh wait I have. I own an ipod touch...
Wildflower, 10 Jun 2008will dubai network support this phone? more precisely, will it be available in dubai? i will b... moreI have a Nokia 95 silver ... So ... Insted of telling me about the Samsung i900 they offerd me a cheeper package for 18 ..yes 18 month with my old phone ...lol lol lol... Free landline calls 24/7 ...And so many texts for ... ready for it ... £20 but i keep my nokia N95 cos they said on the phone that their was nothing coming out in a touch screen with a 5 meg pix cam from Nokia .... They didnt tell me about Samsung i900 ...And i take some of the blame cos i dd say i wasnt intreste in nothing else apart from Nokia ... But the samsung Omnia i900 looks just what im looking for ...Its an N95 with a 5 meg cam ... touch like the Apple and it takes video etc etc etc etc on & on .... Vodafone sales should have butted in and said ... Hold on mate ... Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970In reply to the post about getting the iphone unlocked, so that it can be used with a Vodafone sim card, i wouldnt recommend doing that, purely because you wont be able to use most of the features as Vodafone does not support this equimpent for example GPRS/MMS wont work because there is no configeration settings available so you wont be able to use the internet etc...
this is an faul set because i know the every part of this phone, its basically just like a big ipod nothing more, like N95 its not show like a mobilephone, people cannt use another softr, but look nice, but what is the benifit for "looking"
and the main prblem is that it has a brand name so people are running to buy this and the authority take this opportunity just to sell the phone........
boo, 03 Aug 2008first time around, lagged, froze. called for a replacement, few days later got and second one ... moreWell, give it a chance, and stop rushing it if thats the case. they are bringing out an update soon (2.1) which is going to fix alot of bugs and smoothen the whole experience out. Personally I find the phone very good and very fast compared to other phones on the market.
Me and my boss went to trieste, italy today to try and get him a new phone (which he mostly needs for business purpose). Around here, you can buy an unlocked iphone 3g - 8gb,by Telecom italia for 500 Euro (16gb is not in stock yet, they don't know when they will get them).
Anyway, he really liked the display, but was disappointed in relative closedness of this device. Almost all things need to be done via apple services, and more importantly, this phone cannot be used as a modem! This is very important as he is often abroad and carries laptop with him, but no-go with this phone.
Anyway, he's decided not to buy iphone, it's just a toy, and not good for serious user, unfortunately! And this type of phone cannot replace laptop PC.
I think this phone is great, but be careful before you buy it, check if your pocket of your pants does fit your iphone. My friend had this prob...
class phone apple will take over the world cant wait for apple iphone nano its going to come.
For all of those lucky enoughto own this phone, I need help!!!
I read that apple have decided to fix the bluetooth problem, do you know if they also decided to fix the problem of not being able to enter phone numbers directly into your phone??? or download your own mp4's into your phone and watch them? can you successfully watch youtube on the iphone?
i think da iphone looks very decieveing 2 me if u ask me i would not buy it coz i think it Would freeze n all dat. I hav da n95 its way betta den da iphone
apparently they changed the bluetooth
you can now send items from fone to fone
like normal bluetooth..
because people were complaining
i pefer the n82 though =D
Well now, after using the 3G iPhone, i can safely say, its not all that much of an improvement over the 2G iPhone. Sure its internet is faster, but thats more down to the HSDPA asspect, not software, the interface is the same, the limitations are the same. There is a handy remote destry facility, for personal data should it get stolen, but on the whole, I see no reason to upgrade.
Oh, and for the user curious about how it looks?.. Different, the backing is now a solid plate, looks like plastic, but may be a ceramic I don't want to pry one open to find out, but otherwise identical.
Anonymous, 04 Aug 2008You say that with the iphone 3g you have to pay $30 a month w/ at&t w/ a contract. What is th... moreI have iphone 3G and yes im paying 30.00 each month for only data plan, and it is required with 2 years contract...This plan with AT&T and only..If you wont take 30.00 plan, they will not give you that phone...
kel, 03 Aug 2008well, i personally dont think this phone is worth to buy. it said only $199 or $299 for 16gb, ... moreYou say that with the iphone 3g you have to pay $30 a month w/ at&t w/ a contract. What is that for? But don't you also have to pay monthly fees with Tmobil or other carriers? So why would that $30/month w/ at&t be a turn off?
