krish, 18 Jul 2008Hi Thabith, Great Effort.... I wanted to buy an iPhone. But after reading your opinion i mad... moreI dont pay for any of that stuff
Man, I love my new toy! works like a dream, fits in any pocket and makes everyone jealous (although most, as with this blog, won't admit it and rather slate the product.)
If you own one and don't like it, please tell us why. If you don't own one, what the hell are you doing commenting on it?
this is more like a ermmm... was going to say media player... but with no java and bluetooth im bafed... its like a toy lol.. and it seem there just ver charging you for the stupid amounts of memory there sticking in there! pathetic apple...
To those that do not like this phone, you do not understand technology. To those that say any other user interface is better, you are extremely uneducated... And to those that say WINDOWS MOBILE IS GOOD... you shouldn't own a phone as you don't own a brain
Yazmin, 18 Jul 2008Well, it is a very nice phone for buisness people who travel alot and need access to their ema... morebluetooth is not only used by 12 year olds!
Well, it is a very nice phone for buisness people who travel alot and need access to their emails. In my opinion it is a wonderful phone, because of its internet capabilities and downloadable apps. I have had it for a week and have no problens with it so far. I wish people would STOP complaining about the camera because HONESTLY, Ever heard of a Digital camera!!! And as for the Bluetooth file transfering, First, it is a thing that 12 year olds use at school to transfer pointless ringtones and stuff, secondly, it will almost certainly come out as an app in the app-store sometime. Same for MMS! And why OH WHY do you need MMS when you have HTML RICH emails?? Anyway.... All up a great phone from Apple... Well done 8.5 stars! =D
guys im in s.a. and using iphone and n95, nt to discriminate but n95 is the best and for touch screen- iphone does it, so i actually enjoy having 'em both.

If your 3G iphone has access to internet and with unlimited data packet usage, this one really rocks... the best handheld device because ease of use, fast and very nice screen..
iPhone 3G “the touchscreen phone to beat”
“iPhone 3G is the best touchscreen phone and media player by far on any network,” proclaims Mark Spoonauer (laptopmag.com) in his 4-star (out of five) review of iPhone 3G. “It delivers the best mobile Web experience on any smart phone,” offers “excellent App Store integration,” “vastly improved call quality,” and “Microsoft Exchange support.” And, he adds, iPhone 3G is a “stellar music and video player.”
Unleashing a flood of apps for iPhone
“If you have an iPhone,” cautions Rik Fairlie (NYTimes.com), “you just might forget that the device is capable of making phone calls,” considering all of the diverting applications available on the new iPhone App Store. “Simple to use, thanks to its elegant and intuitive interface,” the App Store offers “an object lesson for other cellphone makers and carriers on how to make your customers’ phones indispensable.”
New App Store offers addictive fun
So far as Ed Baig (usatoday.com) is concerned, “the App Store for iPhone and iPod touch” is “the killer app many of us expected,” an application that “turns the iPhone into an important new computing platform.” In his review, Baig takes a look at some of the apps — Pandora, AOL Radio, Super Monkey Ball, MooCowMusic: Band, Etch A Sketch, and five others — that can make “you feel like a kid in a toy store.”
Five stars to iPhone 2.0 software
From the new App Store to easier mail management to support for Microsoft Exchange and MobileMe, PC Advisor steps you through the major and minor additions and improvements offered by iPhone 2.0 software. Awarding it five stars for its value for the money, PC Advisor concludes that iPhone 2.0 offers “a welcome step-up for what was already arguably the best mobile platform on the market.”
Hi Thabith,
Great Effort....
I wanted to buy an iPhone. But after reading your opinion i made up my mind not to buy.
- A phone without Bluetooth(for File Transfer),
- 2 MP camera without flash, Autofocus, No video recording
- Higher End Phone without java
- No FM radio (one of the main features now a days)
- Can't change battery, can't remove SIM
- Need to keep on paying for every thing - - iTumes, Internet, Geames, Movies Etc.
I am in Sri Lanka, If this new released Apple iPhone 3G is support to work with Sri lankan Mobile service providers?
se23, 17 Jul 2008If your ring tone is low or u want to make your own for free AND YOU OWN A MAC.... download m... moreiTunes itself can makes ringtone and upload to ur iPhone 3G (im talkin about the mp3 from anywhere not from iTunes store) doesn't need to dl other software.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Maybe you should post in your native tongue, perhaps then it would be somewhat more decipherable.
Just so you know...I have a Blackberry Curve. I'm not 12 years old so I don't purchase phones based on how "cool" they are, but how useful they are for my needs. And I read forums, such as these, to find useful information about the phones in question, not to read tired diatribes that have no such relevance.
Doesn't seem to matter what phones you read opinions on they are made out to be BAD. Don't think can rely on opinion unless the person has one and used it for a while.
so...the only improvement is 3G and gps and being thicker?
