yeah lots of apps and everytime nokia or anyone create something new apple or someone will create it for iphone to download via appz! dont even have to have wifi to connect to internet for free in uk! this phone is awesome, dont know why people are slating it, bluetooth would have been a nice function to have but oh well, most people upload vids to youtube or pics to facebook/myspace anyway! so can just view them there! camera isnt even that bad, u only need a decent cam reli if your gonna print the pics you take, otherwise dosent make much difference! and ive had alot of phones the video playback I hardly use and therefore dosent really appeal to ME. in my eyes this is the best phone out there at the moment, fair enough there will be better in future but for now im happy with my iphone!
i LOVEE it...everything i need for work is there...perfect combo for ME. and the app's make it even bettttter
gsmarena say it will effectivly only work with google maps but this could be fixed at a later date..Great,,its like buying a ford car and saying its got no bonnet but this could be fixed at a later date...IT should come with the bonnet to start with not fixed later on,,this phone is starved of features and de-activated items done on purpose so everything you do has to be approved by apple,,bought from apple or totally bow to apples terms conditions to get one as if it is some kind of religion,,but a rudy expensive religeon at that........
well same crap 2 meg camera. slightly different back. same look front. oh and 3G is the new thing.
so what fone wud u go for out of his and the nokia n-95 or samsung tocco or lg viewty?? im after a fone thats entertaining, not bothered bout camera, just want photo blogging etc.
apple fan, 11 Jul 2008can the battery of iphone 3g be removed by ourselves or is it fixed in like a ipod The battery is now clipped into place but of course you would need to remove the case to replace it.

SURAJ, 11 Jul 2008does it have bluetooth for data sharing or just for headset again?Unfortunately:
Bluetooth: Yes, v2.0, headset support only. It is quite a setback.
mr big, 11 Jul 2008in reply to annonymous at 2008-07-11 18:04 the nokia n-95 8gb is good for a business use... moreYou could say that for any Blackberry or Pocket PC but the N95 is not solely for business users; in fact Nokia did not even aim it towards business users.
Well in case someone wants to hear my experience with it and its comparison to the 1st iPhone and especially to the Nokia N95 and N96.
So the 3G is by far much more than the 1st iPhone. However if you already own the original, do not feel rushed to buy this one. With iPhone apps being compatible for both phones, I do not see the user missing out on anything.
As for its comparison, this iPhone tries to hit the World market after its predecessor's success in the USA. But, as many of you probably know, this is completely Nokia's dominion. The Nokia N95/8GB and especially the N96. They may look bulkier than the iPhone but they actually weigh less. The graphics of the iPhone may look much more enhanced, but they still do not outmatch N95/96's. Both support GPS, the iPhone has the Google Maps incorporated while Nokia users can simply download it among many other navigational software (plenty out there) that will work with a built-in GPS. This is the other thing about Nokia's: it's Symbian OS is much more preferable to serious developers/marketers and the applications you can run on it are limitless.
The iPhone lacks an IR (infrared) port, which the N95 has. For many people this doesn't matter much, but it has some fun usages (look up Psiloc irRemote and what it allows you to do).
OK so on to the biggest things:
the browser: Nokia's supports a wider range whereas iPhone still only allows HTML, which means you cannot view most websites as you would in front of your computer.
camera: as of currently, there are no lens manufacturers that outmatch Carl Zeiss, and the N95/96 both sport an amazing 5 MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens. AND, don't forget that the Nokias also feature a secondary camera located in the front, which is an ideal set-up for video-calling, a feature that is yet to be allowed by most providers.
Accelerometer: while iPhone does allow orientation, the Nokias take it further by some amazing individually-developed applications that use the accelerometer technology to do things such as controlling your phone only by movements (look up Nokmote), and the capabilities of it are just beginning to surface, so expect more creativity in this area.
Pricing: Apple's iPhone 3G certainly beats the price of the N95/8GB by a factor of about 4. There are talks of higher pricing (from the 1st iPhone) due to the contract with ATT, which causes the overall price to run much higher than the 1st iPhone. As an alternative, unlocking your iPhone will certainly give you more freedom on providers.

the nokia n-95 8gb is good for a business user, but i wouldlike a phone for fashion n fun n entertainment thats whyi chose the iphone, iphones online safari browser is alot better than n-95, also the iphone is touch screen and has alot more fun/entertaining things to do that the n-95.. agree?
in regards to the last post, were you even in an UMTS coverage area? The iPhone isn't going to operate at 3G speeds if you're not in a 3G area....
mr big, 11 Jul 2008this phone does have loads of features, u download them in apps, also im sure a update for the... moreI take it mr big that you've never used the Nokia N95 8GB that is streets ahead, as usual, of the iPhone 3G.
3.5 G speed, 5 mega pixel camera with flash, video capabilities, video calling, copy and paste, MMS, turn by turn sat nav, plus a load of 3rd party applications.
I'm afraid the iPhone is still way behind.
