sam, 10 Jul 2008i want 5 mp camera in this h/s. I like another feature of apple phone. All are goods except ca... moreWell, I know lots of people want higher MP cameras on their phones. But why bother? I mean, a camera phone, due to its size can never achieve the same quality in photography as a proper compact DC or a DSLR. iPhone's 2MP camera maybe out of date now, but I've seen photos taken by it which look nicer than the ones taken from my 3.2MP nokia N73.
The bottom line is, you never will achieve the same with a camera phone than a proper camera.
if it had a 5MP camera, it'd be worthwhile.
as it is, it's incredibly overpriced and overhyped!!
i work in the phone industry ans this is a shit phone the bluetooth is crap only for headsets no a2dp cant send mms cant forward mms and have u tried sending a text on one u better have a lot of time on your hands or skinny fingers im one of the fastest texters there is and it took me for ever on this phone. looks great yes music playback awesome internet access good but we have had all these features around for ages nokia n95 wlan 8gb bluetooth more user freindly. so what is the big deal apple has done well marketing as they always do but once u actually see and use the phone u will be like whateva just like i was.

write:Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR
i want 5 mp camera in this h/s. I like another feature of apple phone. All are goods except camera pixel. its's a 3G h/s but his camera not according to 3G.if u change his camera pixel so change it imm. so peple like more,
I like the feature of this phone but acording to new 3rd gen. feature increased his camera pixel 3.15mp to 5mp (aprox.) instead of 2mp.
oliver, 10 Jul 2008To all you soon to be apple 3g owners i have one thing to say. Your blinded by hype, marketing... moreno phone has yet to offer the internet experience however NOR a good music player (in one combo). Some phones are great cameras, good phones, and a little extra. Well, the iPhone is a great internet device, good phone, best ipod. So it depends on what combo of features you want. Its just opinions here guys, don't go with what everyone says themselves.
oliver, 10 Jul 2008To all you soon to be apple 3g owners i have one thing to say. Your blinded by hype, marketing... moreI totally agree Oliver!! The Omnia sounds really good Im getting that in Aug...
hmm.. Sounds like its missing my fav features: Video Calling, MMS & Why have 2 megapixel cam?? When all the new mobs have 5 MEGAPIXEL.. U should all wait till the next generation iphone.. If u buy one of these now your just gonna deal with the incompetence the iphone offers?! Get the Samsung Omnia it has great features!!!!!
To all you soon to be apple 3g owners i have one thing to say. Your blinded by hype, marketing and branding of this product. Its specs are way behind the times compared to a lot of touchscreen mobiles coming out today.
Sure you might say.
"Oh its beautiful, its got apple UI, its sleek."
So what! Its no excuse for apple coming out with a product with specs that are outshined by a cheap nokia.
You might say.
"But look what you get for 299!"
Well, ahem, but thats another Steve Jobs scam.
299 bucks on an expensive plan for 2 year, and the way technology is moving now days, a year down the track you will be regretting your purchase whilst stil locked into a contract.
Do yourselves a favour. Use gsmarena compare feature and line up a samsung omnia or a htc diamond and line it up with an apple and see how it compares.
One thing I will give apple credit for is coming out with a unique design. Kudos to them. But its no excuse for coming out with a
second generation product that is so drastically lacking.
All an iphone is, is the best ipod apple ever made.
If the phone is unlocked, then you shouldn't really have any problems working on other networks. I'm in Australia and alot of ebay sellers give a 100% garentee that it can be unlocked and used on any 3g network here in Australia.
Maybe its just AT&T in America that they do this.
I don't know what to beleive anymore. I'll just wait to I get mine and make my own judgments then ;-)
In this months stuff magazine the 3g i-phone camera has been tweaked to give more accurate photos and other bits have software have been redone to make it run better..Ling forward to some good honest reviews and just going to ignore bashing,,false reports etc which can be spotted easily but its also fair to report any probs that are real too.
me too waiting for this phone. hope this phone fulfill all the desires we need in phone.
Narcolepsy, 09 Jul 2008No card slot,No mms,No video calling,No stereo bluetooth, only 2mp camera. Wow great 3G fone!!... moreumm actually they have announced that there applications for all those problems...its all about the sofware.
Phonelover, 09 Jul 2008Hi, First of all, thanks for the best mobile site on the planet! My question is something ab... morewell it looks like its gonna be that you have to have some sort of wireless connection while using the gps because google maps doesn't have pre loaded maps like something such as Tom Tom. So A-GPS, which is in most phones, has to have a connection, either wifi or 3G, to work. Great thing is though that all the big reviewers have said that the gps is VERY accurate...always good to hear from a phone.
who ever said this phone is unlocked is on some serious crack... @ att they have a new activate process which makes it impossible to be activated or unbricked in any other way to another carrier. plus u cant get this phone unless u get att service and its only new activations for now... sux ass nah?!
First of all, thanks for the best mobile site on the planet!
My question is something about the iphone3g…
On the site, in the specs, it’s written by the features - Built-in GPS receiver
and - A-GPS function
Is there really an receiver inside?
I would like to know for sure.
Thanks and keep on reviewing!!
Regards Glenn Belgium
I heard that it is going to launch at Japan two more days don't when will it come to Malaysia..... I'm so going to have one for myself
Hurray!!!! Iphone 3G
The Wall Street Journal reviewed the phone for a week and said the biggest cons that come with the new 3G iPhone are:
1). Only 4hr and 27mins of talk time.
2). Small GPS antenna incapable of a strong signal strength.
3). No visible changes in the 2.0 software besides the support for Microsoft Exchange.
1). Better body
2). Faster and more responsive then the later
3). 3G works great
