IPHONE IS THE BIGGEST RIP OFF IN CELLPHONE HISTORY.
1)first of all.. There is no uniqueness to the phone. every other person i know has the same exact phone.
2)If u are a real PHONE USER. You would realize that the IPHONE is a closed cascade.You cant do anything with it WITHOUT breaking the warranty on the phone. ahem. JAILBREAK.
3)$200 for the phone + $80 something per month on the plan. thats like $1000 u spending each year on a CELLPHONE!!
No interconnectivity between applications. NO BLUETOOTH except for HEADSETS. so if i want to get a ringtone or pictures from my friend.. I WILL HAVE EMAIL IT TO EACHOTHER EVERYTIME.
NO MMS? wat are u in 1990s?YOU are paying $30 a month for the dataplan. and u CANT send MMS. rediculous.

now that iphone 3G 8GB can be had for $199, shouldn't ipod touch 8GB sells for $99 or $149, since it lack the phone capability??? or the ipod touch 32GB sells for $299??? that's gonna be a sellout, for sure

This handset is a waste of money get the Ipod Touch its cheaper and does practically the same things bar calls and take pictures. Plus you get locked in to the apple software, and once it's got hold of u it will never let u go!!!!!111

No video calling.
No file transfer for bluetooth. Only simple headset. So stereo headsets that require A2DP is out of the question. seriously, just get an Ipod Touch 32Gb and save yourself some money

In my opinion, the strategy for Apple is that the first iPhone was meant to create suspense and attraction to the iPhone, to create branding for the iPhone, and thus there was limited release in only a few countries. It can be possible too that discussions with other telcos were also slower initially.
The iPhone 3G seems to take a different approach. The price is cheaper and it is avaliable in many countries. It seems that the iPhone 3G is meant to be mass market, to create demand and generate profits. Thus the design has not changed much. It is my opinion that Apple is using the publicity generated to sell the iPhone 3G, not so much to continue to raise the brand, but this time simply, to create profits.
The real upgrade of the iPhone should come around next year, I believe. This iPhone might have the strong features and have a more radical design.

If you believe me, after you use iphone, let say 2-3 months, and you buy other phone, im sure you will come back again to iphone, as happen with me..I had iphone before, and i didnt like it because no mms, and video, i return it and i buy n95..I used about 15 days n95, and again i go back to iphone, because iphone has a some thing special, but we cant see it.
