Vogj, Australia does have 3G, but so does a host of other countries. A lot of countries in Europe, and the biggest fish of them all... Japan.

MOST of Asia is already in 3G, and also most part of Europe. That is why Apple has to make its promise and roll out the 3G iPhone one year later in order to corner the European and Asian markets. Because here no one would be interested in a 2G handset, and many of us here do not have the EDGE network either.

My daughter bought an ipod only 5 months ago and theres a white screen now whic... moreit's not got video calling camera as nobody uses the service - when was the last time you mae video call - does it realy need it would you rather the phone when up in price - $200 is cheap - can't think of another phone that as easiy and intuitive to use!!

now iphone got 3g. now i am using 3.5g phone. the phone is good but it don't have a good picture quality. only 2.0 megapexel.

I work for a reputable phone company in the uk and have loaned the new i phone. And im not impressed there are much better out there

Poin... moreHaha, nearly every country in the world has 3G... perhaps you should read up on 3G on twikipedia... Australia is the only country that has 3G!? The phone having 3G is therefore not useless... Try researching before flamebaiting.

I hope apple will fix this.
Iphone 3g. No front camera for video calling. How stupid is that.
Still no a2dp or bluetooth transfer.
No camera flash or auto focus.
People are foolish if they buy this especially since samsung i900 omnia is out.
It seems to me apple likes holding people prisoner with their no bluetooth transfer and no a2dp and no flash.
For some reason, people keep buying this dumb phone!

Well people I know you hate Ihone. What you are trying to do is to demonize and this disencourage people to use this most beautiful phone that ever till now mankind has created.
I love this phone very cool wether is has 3G or not or less cam pixel or battery life is weak or you are living on an Inland that’s has no network or whatever and so on all bad things Please stop, if you do understand that the words “NOTHING IS PERFECT” so stfu then.

Serious, it's locked you bozo! A black-market or hacked version will not be. However, in some cases, certain carriers will sell it unlocked. Read the main article on GSM Arena and don't be a retard.
