arif, 10 Dec 2010you can upgrade to 4.2 version then you can easily make phone call also which is the major pro... moreu mean by can be unlocked that i have to upgrade baseband to ipad baseband or what u mean

you can upgrade to 4.2 version then you can easily make phone call also which is the major problem while every1 updates ipohne. 4.2 has been launced and can be unlocked.

Anonymous, 07 Dec 2010iOS 4 is actually compatible with the 3g. Some features available on the 3gs and 4 are disable... morethats just what they tell you. everything works fine on the 3g they just want to sell phones. seriously jailbreak and enable them to see what i'm talking about.

do it only and only u need d unlock ASAP....but beware thr r various consequences abt it....
Ultrasnow replied me to be currently working on iphone 4 unlock..as their high priority.....seems we need to wait for about a month.....evn i'm stucked on bb 05.15.04......anywayz...best of luck....and lets hope to get the unlock ASAP...:)

hey guys , i have 3g i aleardy upgrade it to 4.2.1 and i aleardy jailbroke , ios 4.2.1 very good and fast on 3g and multitasking very good also on it but only problem is the unlock of baseband 5.15.04 and i fraid of put the ipad baseband , please any one know when will ultrasnow launch the new version or how can i know they launch the new verison for unlocking baseband 5.15.04 , thanks for ur help .

Clint Bailey, 26 Nov 2010 IoS 4.0 is not compatible with Iphone 3G ... U wud surely face issue later...iOS 4 is actually compatible with the 3g. Some features available on the 3gs and 4 are disabled on the 3g because of processing speed issues. It donesn't work at all on the first gen iPhone.

kelvin, 22 Nov 2010do the iphone 3g have video and can u watch movies on it? im thinking about buying a used phon... moremany people sell used 3gs for under 100usd. The 3g is discontinued, and is slow compared to the 3gs and the 4. I beve the four hundred something mhz and the 3gs and 4 is 1+ghz. significant jump. Also the 3g is so slow that steve had to disable many of the features of os 4 on the 3g because the processor is so slow. My recommendations: just get the 3gs.

cynthia, 05 Dec 2010whats the difference between iphone 3g and iphone 3gsWell thew 3g first of all is officially discontinued.It is slow compared to the 3gs and the 4. The 3gs has faster processing, support of home screen background, multitasking(with os 4.0+), and video camera support. The 3g does not support those features unless you jailbreak, which I wouldn't suggest doing because it damages your phones core files and voids your warranty. Thats one expensive paperweight. I would go with the 3gs(I actually have one). However i wouldn't suggest getting the 4 yet, because there are still many bugs to be worked out. if you do plan on getting a 4 wait till June 2011. One interesting feature on the four is the front facing camera which can be used in Face Time(iphone 4 only)and other video call supporting apps. There are a few perks on the 4 but nothing you would really miss if you get the 3gs. Again i wouldn't recommend the 3g.

buy iPhone 3g, much cheaper now. Just upgrade to iOS4.2.
