Apple iPhone 3G - user opinions and reviews

I am using iPhone 3G, it is giving me battery life of max up to 4 hours in talk time. I think its too low and this should give up to 10 hours of talk time. What should i do to increase this time.

Just make your own account,it's easy and free also you could make your account directly from your iPhone.

yeah i think the iphone4 is great, can't afford it though. hehehe... ... moreYou're welcome,but as a 3G user i'd recommend 3Gs if this is your first iPhone.
The price range isn't too far between the two now,also 3Gs has more power under the hood--hardware wise--and iOS4 seems to work better in 3Gs.
It's up to you though,both devices are good basically,still capable to take out nexus one in terms of UI & UX.

I suggest you just go for iPhone 4,but if you insist for the 3G,then Yup it's slower than before with iOS4,however there are ways to overcome this :
1)Right after finishing iOS4 installation,iPhone 3G got REALLY SLOW,lags a lot,to fix this simply do soft reset--press & hold sleep-home button simultaneously,the lag decreased so much you'll barely noticed that anymore.
2)RAM management is the key,Download memory cleaner app.(Memory sweep),this app.released lots of RAM and make sure you had enough RAM especially before & after playing games or browsing.
3)Forget iBooks,this app.is for 3Gs and the 4,iBooks is totally crap in 3G,just stick to eBook reader App.
4)Don't install games/apps.larger than 50Mb,it'll drain RAM like crazy.
I refrained myself from buying 3Gs cause i'm waiting for iPhone 4,those antennae issues are nothing but crap since less than 1% users complained bout this,remember iPhone 4 sold like 3 million now.
Hope iPhone 4 will be released soon in my country :(

Rubbish phone.no battrey backup. Cant send files via bluetooth.no application standby.featchers nothing but price is unbeliveablle.only selling name.(brand).world's most wrort phone.
Don.t buy it.go for htc,nokia,and any other.

I having apple 3G I am not bale to start GPRS because in set there is no provision to fill APN address .I having BSNL cell one sim. BSNL is not able to send GPRS setting .How can I activate GPRS

I have my Dad's old iPhone 3G, I am using it as an iPod Touch, I took the SIM card out, so it does not have any cell service. It works just fine over WiFi

never update 3g iphone in os4...............otherwise your mobile would be very slow.after update you would be never secound option
