Sometimes depends more on which mobile network your with as well. Mine has been pretty much ok except for a couple of spots where I get No Service.
May be a good idea to switch off 3G unless you need it. If the problems still continue, without a doubt an Apple Genius at your local Apple store will help you.
john, 19 May 2010Thx for ur opinion dudeNo problems pal, good luck with your phone selection.
[deleted post]LOL now now your getting tense matey!!! Temper temper ha ha
I never said everyone is an iPhone hater! Pot kettle about Specsavers!!!!! lol
As stated below by other people, why does it bother you so much that we buy the iPhone? Or have an iPhone? Its consumer choice, unless it affects your pocket personally (which it shouldnt do as you dont own Nokia or HTC or Samsumg etc...) then you shouldnt be so annoyed. Eh?
Now you keep saying its not the phone its the followers. Thats like me saying I dont mind McDonalds but I cant stand the diners. Or I dont mind Manchester United FC but dont like the fans. Or I dont mind Pizza Hut but its the people who eat theie pizzas that I dont like. Thats right IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!! LOL ha ha
You clearly have a problem with iPhone users from what you are saying. That means you are targetting APPLE. You should really realise what your saying as you have a dislike for people who own a certain MOBILE PHONE!!!! Thats right a MOBILE PHONE!!
Ok I have no more to say to you, you should really see a doctor before the mobile phone paranoia gets worse!!!!
I have been using my iPhone 3GS for 7 months now and it's been doing great so far. This is my second iPhone. In terms of build quality, it's the best. My 3GS' screen is not flush but it's negligible. 7 months of heavy use, dropped twice on the floor and still working perfectly. My only complain is the poor signal reception, not so good battery life, and when on call the person on the other can hardly hear me voice on mid-modulation. But overall, it's one of the best phones I've had. Currently, I am so enamored with my BlackBerry Bold 9700 and it's running to becoming the best phone I ever possessed.
Anonymous, 19 May 2010Iphone is far from being an average phone. That alone tells me that you are lying. Unless of... morewell said buddy...y shud others feel for iphone users???ya?
we send our money to buy it and we are double satisfied with it..if iphone haters hate it...just dnt buy it...prob solvd..bingo
Anonymous, 19 May 2010lol i work for a mobile company (can't say).... love ur comment "Those words you use are ... moreIphone is far from being an average phone. That alone tells me that you are lying. Unless of course you got the unlocked iphone and didn't sign up for a data plan, then I guess you are right. Because the iphone without a data plan can make it a boring phone. But then you can always sign up for Boingo and get access to a lot of wifi hotspots, or you can jailbreak it.
Anyways, why would iphone followers affect you and be your problem? If we're being defensive, maybe it's because you guys are being offensive. If we bought the iphone for its price, it's because we think it's worth it. And that is your problem because? It's our money, it's our phone, and that should not be your problem, and if that bothers you, then there's totally something wrong with you :)
Nowfal, 19 May 2010well...i was a nokia fan and used nearly all their top order mobiles...recently i bot apple to... moreYou are absolutely right on the money. I was a Nokia and HTC user myself before I switched to the iphone. And just like you, I'm just blown awat with the iphone's performance. It's a practical phone. The iphone makes a lot of sense. At first you wonder why it doesn't have this and that, but after a while, you'll realize that those missing features don't really matter that much in exchange of the quality performace you get from the iphone. I have a couple of friends who just switched to the iphone as well. They've been avoiding the iphone for a couple of years now. Finally they gave in. Now they can totally relate to me. And just like me, they can't seem to put their iphones down when we hang out, which was their major complaint with me when we go out, lol. Now they just laugh and say "we totally get you now". They just got their iphones a month ago, but are already considering to upgrade as soon as the next gen iphone comes out. They see me with my ipad, and now they're thinking about getting the ipad as well.

[deleted post]Firstly, your best bet is actually going into a mobile phone store, use both phones and go for one that you feel comfortable with. Also, if you buy one and are not too happy with it, you can always return it and go for the other.
Yes both iPhone and Android OS are very good. Android is growing and is available in the HTC's you seem to like, the Apple OS is now 3 years old and so many Apps! I like the simplicity of the iPhone as I really dont feel the need for a confusing UI, that can ruin your phone experience. Also bear in mind that the iPhone has proven to be very succesful, despite what the minority of haters think.
If its a choice of Apps, a simple UI, but a very effective touchscreen smartphone, then the iPhone is a brilliant choice. If a choice of Apps plays second to the things such as a camera flash or flash on your browser, basically you want more detail, then have a look at the HTC.
I personally was indecisive before like yourself, didnt believe the iPhone was as good as it was due remarks made by haters, went for a highly spec Samsung phone and ended up disliking the phone. I then got the iPhone earlier this year and I am 100% happy!! I have downloaded so many Apps, can watch TV on my phone via the Apps and browser, have used the phone for different functionalities, basically I love it!
sham786, 19 May 2010i am looking to buy this phon. i heard that it is locked one. if i go india i need to use the ... moreLike any mobile phone, if the phone is locked to a certain network you need to have it unlocked 1st before you can use it on a different network. You can either have it officially locked by the network provider (which is what I did here in the UK, by o2) buy it unlocked or have it jailbroken, The iPhone uses the same size sim card as all other brands do so you will have no problems there.
Anonymous, 19 May 2010lol i work for a mobile company (can't say).... love ur comment "Those words you use are ... moreLOL A lot of us stick up for the iPhone as IMO, and for millions of other users im sure, its a great phone and too many haters come here time after time saying their brand is better. It appears that a lot of these bashers (im not saying you personally so you too dont get all defensive ha ha) are jealous or angry at Apple for no reason. I can only put this down to either them not having the iPhone or sheer crazyness!!! Why else keep coming back?
Now onto iPhone users. Its different if we ALL went around phone bashing in different forums. But thats only a handle of iPhone users, not all.
My friend, if the iphone was that bad, surely we would have returned it shortly after buying it? Most mobile phone companies offer a return period, as you should well know. And its popularity would have decreased as word of mouth IS the biggest form of advertising. Specs wise it cant match other phones (my previous phone outdid the iPhone in specs) but overall user experience is where the iPhone excels. Again millions of happy customers says it all. And Apple didnt exactly hold us by our throats forcing us to buy the iPhone, it was done by choice :)
The iPhone wont please everyone of course. There isnt a single mobile that will please everyone! In your opinion you may find the Nokia N900 as the best phone. From experience of using the N900, I didnt like it at all, regardless of its specs. But thats down to the individual user. But I wont go to Nokia and bash it!
Steve Jobs hasnt ripped me off. Id feel more ripped off buying a brand recommended by an iPhone hater and not getting the same user satisfaction as the iPhone :)
i am looking to buy this phon. i heard that it is locked one. if i go india i need to use the sim card in india. is it possible to use different sim cards like all other phones. please reply me. is worth for money or i will be a looser.
I'm having problems connecting my iphone 3gs with my laptop and other brand using bluetooth. It won't just connect even when the laptop is paired with it.Has anybody experienced this! i nd help
K, 19 May 2010LOL Its your words that sum it up. "Average Product". "iSheep". "iCra... morelol i work for a mobile company (can't say).... love ur comment "Those words you use are clearly from someone who has never used an iPhone. Thats a typical iPhone hater trait. "
Out of 17 staff... only 1 is using the iphone... we all tried it... its pretty average, so we don't bother with it. I'm not dissing the product, don't get all defensive about it.....
Anyway, back to the "haters issue" i don't hate the phone. The followers is the problem... they (including yourself) get all defensive like you own part of the company lol. Apple is clearly ripping off all their loyal consumers. You guys pay premium price for a product which is clearly worth half. Steve jobs is laughing all the way to the bank, while you defend his over priced product.... peace ;)
