But you risk losing your warranty if you do. It doesn't make you smart or dumb. It's merely a choice. As for being cheap. You can download free music from limewire. May not be as good quality as the one from itunes, but it's free. So it's not like you have no choice. It's not a trap. It's just that some users don't see the need to jailbreak their iphone or they don't see it worth risking their iphone's warranty. Keep your pity to yourself. We don't need it :)

I'am using iPhone 3Gs 32 GB in Black, and I have jailbreak it since January 2010
please note that if you have jailbreak it the warranty will no longer available
and i suggest that if you want to buy iPhone from different country, buy it from the same region. For example i bought the iPhone in singapore and i live in Indonesia, it's fine because we're in the same region
hope this helps!!! ^^

K, 23 Mar 2010LOL keep talking rubbish pal, your excuses against the iPhone are getting worse by the minute ... moreSo Jailbreaking gives additional features. Probably you didn't check the link I posted. Here it is again : http://blog.gsmarena.com/10-good-reasons-to-jailbreak-your-iphone-no-matter-what-generation/
You can click on that safely, its no virus if you still do not trust me copy this :
and paste in your browser. Its a GSMArena Blog website page (HTML Document). Not a virus.
Now read it. You'll get the message as "Jailbreaking allows us to unleash the true power of the Apple’s iPhone". See true power is jailed. Once you get this you'll realize most smart Phones aren't jailed in the first place. Smart phones are designed so that it can do more than just support apps. Apple didn't want their users to have such "power". Why??? Proprietary and closed source hangover. Buy their phone, buy their music(i.e. iTunes), buy their apps (their app store only). Don't you see. Its their trap. They don't want you to have power, they want all the power(and money) for themselves. But people have found a way out. Jailbreaking. But for you guys... I just pity you guys. (No offence meant)
