i don't like so much the iPhone , i prefer some htc's or a BB storm , the only cool thing in the apple iPhone is those cool games ... nothing more .
Doewke, 19 Mar 2010Well, I'm practically convinced to but the Iphone. Like you said if you're happy with the bran... moreThe advantage of getting an unlocked iPhone is that you can use any sim on it, not just one network. Also if you go to resell an iPhone, the value is slightly higher than a networked locked. The disadvantage is that if you get an unlocked iPhone that is jailbroken to unlock it, this voids the warranty.
The advantage of getting an iPhone with a specific network, lets say o2 as an example, the network has a responsibilty to look after you as a customer. You will have the carrier settings confingured to the phone. The network will also allow you to use services such as tethering. You may find a good tariff offered by the network to get the iphone via them. The disadvantage is clearly you are locked to the network and unless you that network offers you an official, Apple approved unlocking service, like o2 does, you will have to jailbreak your phone to use other sims, which voids the warranty.

Like you said if you're happy with the brand you should stick to it! The only downside is its price and perhaps customer service. I'm reading a lot of comments on locked and unlocked phones. Do forgive me my unawareness or ignorance. But is it better to buy a locked one or an unlocked?? What are the advantages and disadvantages?? Kind greetings Jennifer

I used to hate the old way, get a new phone and start getting your old applications for it, buy them off the phone network if they still had them, download the "free" ones off stupid sites and they wouldn't work half the time.
None of that rubbish for me, just plug into iTunes and sync, everything!

Just try Samsung Omnia HD after adjusting the head phone related codes. This phone, unfortunately, is highly underrated due to Samsung's own folly. Nevertheless, a top notch phone. I do own this beauty and an I Phone 3 GS, at present and am happy with both of them. Having said that I should also admit that they have weakness in certain areas and are not the ultimate.Let us argue based on facts and at the end of the day we, the consumers are bound to gain due to the competition among the manufacturers.

Would love some advice. I purchased Iphone 3gs in Sept 210 on a bus plane. I love the phone but I have had problems with it dying midway through conversations. I took it back to Optus and they put in a new sim card. All fine for awhile then when I wanted to make a call, nothing black screen so had to reboot.I pay insurance monthly, now they tell me it was water damaged, when I told them IT HAS NEVER SEEN WATER, THEY THEN TOLD ME I DROPPED IT which I didn't. I pay $14 insurance monthly, now they tell me I have to pay $250 excess to get it fixed or replaced which I did not know about. They have had my phone for 4 weeks yet I am still paying insurance for a phone I don't even have anyone had sim problems. Thanks

iPhone 3GS has almost perfect sound reproduction, what goes in is exactly the same as what comes out.
Now run along kid, go play with your toys.

If GSM arena wants to suggest that the iphone 3gs has superb audio I would ask how scientific this test is. I will put it to you this way, take an old Motorola v8 put some music on it and let it play, do the same thing with the iphone 3gs and you tell me which has better audio. It is not even close. What bothers me the most is that you actually seem to take this review as the word of God. You dont think that the speaker position on the iphone is stupid at best? Have you ever played a game in landscape mode? You end up cover the speaker every time.
Anonymous, 19 Mar 2010i dunno, why don't you ask Android and Blackberry about video calls?Blackberry have video calls, nokia also have video calls.
Once again iphone had been left in the dust.
You big dummy lol.
