Anonymous, 05 Feb 2010Is there any way to erase individual photos in your photo library without having to sync? Is t... moreFirst of all, you can individually delete photos that you have taken or downloaded from your iphone. The ones that it would not let you delete, are the ones that you synched from your computer, which makes sense for synching purposes and for consistency, or else, that would defeat the purpose of synching.
As for deleting call logs individually, it would be nice if the iphone can delete call logs individually. But what's wrong with deleting all of your calls from your call log altogether? Realistically speaking, only a few people would have the need to keep a record of their call log. If you do, there's actually a better way of viewing them, and that is by accessing your account online. Another quick way around this would be to take a snapshot of call log that you want to keep, which is actually easier and safer than deleting selected calls from your trick, because you might overlook one call and your gf might see it, and you'd be in big trouble.
As for the apps store. You have to realize that the iphone caters to all ages of users and users of different tastes and level of intelligence. Hence, there would be a lot of silly apps, but then a lot of highly educational apps as well. And that goes the same with the Android store or maemo store or Ovi store. If you're smart, then you should be able to determine which apps would be good for you. Most of those apps that costs money have lite versions for you to try it out first, which are free to download. So I do not know what you're complaining. Don't be selfish. Not everyone is as smart as you ;)
Is there any way to erase individual photos in your photo library without having to sync? Is there any way to erase individual received or dialed calls (I have a crazy gf this would come in handy) as far as I can see it is erase all or nothing? Is anyone else tired of trying to figure out which apps are good? Apple has to do something with the app store, it is crawling with useless apps. I wish there was some way to circumvent the crap, the reviews don't help enough.

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2010hmm.. neva liked the i phone coz of its compatibility problemz.... nd in india ter r not many ... moreThe Iphone 3GS or any series of the iPhone by far surpass the short comings of The Nokia 5800, Its faster, easier to use & Has no compatibility issue with any modern computer of at least a mid-range specification, now if your using windows its not as user friendly as a Mac but that is due to windows false promises. :) get yourself an iPhone download some apps & you'll seldom find yourself looking at other handsets, unless you prefer a better camera i.e a cam with a flash but digital cameras are rather cheap these days go pick one up
Those are good tips for saving battery life, especially the screen brightness. I keep mine around the G.
As for apples customer service, it is simply amazing. My battery was running out way too fast about 3 weeks ago, and I simply made an appointment at the genius bar, and 15 minutes after walking in I got it replaced. It is very simple and very easy, and they don't really have to analyze the phone either. Just MAKE SUREE you do not have it jailbroken.
Adriana, 04 Feb 2010hello ....I NEED HELP !!!

2) Turn off bluetooth & Wifi if you don't use them.
3) Disable 3G network,it's quite helpful for battery in
exchange for slower browsing the net.
4) you might want to turn off push email, this isn't blackberry.
5) Try to change the charger or drain your battery up to 1% left.
6) Should all those steps above failed, bring your iPhone to claim your guarantee,if it's hardware problem they'll change it with a new device for free.

Adriana, 04 Feb 2010hello ....I NEED HELP !!! in my iphone there is E next to the service up does it means emer... moreAdriana, the E stands for Edge, it's just another type of cellular data connection, slightly slower than 3G, but faster than GPRS (the dot that appears next to your service provider)
I dun know whether I should upgrade my StarHub contract or not, b'cos recently StarHub very lousy customer service...should i go to terminate & switch to singtel to get I phone 3Gs?
dream32, 03 Feb 2010should i buy 3GS now or wait for the next gen??Well the next gen iphone is 5 months away from its release. You can wait for that one. But if you're losing sleep and can't wait, you will be happy with the 3gs. You can always unlock it and sell it when the next gen comes out.
