I dumped my HTC HD for the iphone. The reason why I made the change: the hassle of dealing with Windows Mobile 6.1. The HTC HD is a beautiful piece of hardware, the phone is amazing on all aspects, but WM killed the experience for me. During 8 months I used the HTC HD, there were countless soft resets & freezing, and four hard resets. I like the iphone because it works, the apps are practical, and they save time when looking for info. However, the iphone is far from perfect and it’s limiting. The call quality sucks, sound from the ipod when playing music is not as good as the HTC HD... It desperately needs a customable EQ. The resolution compared to the HTC HD is poor. Why can I not created files to store all the icons on one page by category, I have four pages of icons, it is annoying flipping through them all. Why can I not delete icons I rarely use like, the compass, weather (I have an app for that) calculator, notes... why are the clock and weather icons not live like the calendar? In addition, there is no FM tuner! In brief, it is a glorified ipod, they just stuck a cell antenna in it but its works, and that is what is important to me until WM 7 arrives. Hopefully Microsoft will get their act together and make it work as well as the iphone.
continuous user, great phone, mastered it, even make my own apps, only thing 3gs SHOULD HAVE DONE is to have locked the 3.0 OS to 3GS exclusive releasing it to earlier models, means the 3GS is unless, too expensive, ...having said...anyone bring me a phone that can compete with iphone, why you all following iphone all you brands?

I hate it when people do such things.
The iPhone is a nice device but its competitors might follow in the years to come.
This wil be my last post in this phone so dont bother debating me
nick, 08 Dec 2009using the 65k argument is a weak one.

Only a handful touchscreen phones that are in the same league as the iPhone has been released. Im talking about the 16M capacitive phones but looking at most phones, it seems that they're only in the 65k range. A few has tried to match the iPhone
Ram, 09 Dec 2009Is there an authentic unlocked apple 3GS available in US which can work in India? No there isn't.

So yes, it is worth to bust out a standalone digital camera with real xenon flash at night if you like taking pictures.
Anonymous, 09 Dec 2009if you had read what that guy said, you would have understood that people don't care ab silly ... moreYou're just saying that you do not care about sales because the iphone outsold your choice of device, lol. Unit sales tells a lot about a product. You obviously never took any business class, lol.
Anonymous, 09 Dec 2009if you had read what that guy said, you would have understood that people don't care ab silly ... moreYou wish that iphone is not a smartphone, but it is. It's even awarded as the best smartphone besting other smartphones like omnia hd and the others. Read the article here in GSM Arena :) What a poor judge you are :)
My phone is better than your phone is playground stuff!! ha ha All phones are designed to accomodate personal tastes, someone might not be comfortable using my Samsung H1 and would prefer a Nokia keypad phone. iPhone users may not like the HTC HD2 as they prefer the choice of Apps and usibilty of the iPhone. HTC HD2 users may not like iPhone cos of its restrictions and some functions it dont have. This can go on forever....
The point is: to say another phone is sh*t or sucks or whatever, just cos you think your phone is the best, is dumb statement as its just your opinion and not general for everyone.
I will say again, the iPhone has set a high standard on how touchscreen phones should be and its great there is fierce competition out there now!

The e series li... moreCarl Zeiss is nothing but a marketing term given to a small piece of glass used in camera phones which is no different to the other small pieces of glass used in phones made by manufacturers who didn't pay to have exclusive marketing rights.
Now if you were getting a custom made telescope lens then Carl Zeiss making it might mean something but at the level of camera phone lenses the name is a gimmick.

The iPhone easily fills the criteria, unless you are one of those who thinks that things like having a kickstand are important to smartphone functionality.

The e series line-up has the carl zeiss optic lenses which provide better pics.
As far as great cameras on smartphones, i am refering to the n-series line up which has 5 mp and above.
When I go out in public during the night i just use my n95 or 5800 xm to take quick pics, while my friends ( who are iphone users) would have to bust out separate digital cameras.
