Hey get back to reality, where was Ovi in 2000?
"MobileMe (formerly .Mac and iTools) is a subscription-based collection of online services and software offered by Apple Inc. Originally launched on January 5, 2000, as iTools, a free collection of Internet-based services for users of Mac OS 9, Apple relaunched it as .Mac on July 17, 2002"
So can you host a website on Ovi?
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I just thought you'd like to know who Fortune magazine selected as CEO of the decade, when he started back at Apple it was worth $5 Billion now it's worth $170 Billion with zero debt and $32 Billion in cash reserves.
He changed the music business, the movie business, the computer business and the mobile phone business, totally stood the old ways on their head.
Steve Jobs CEO of the decade:-

Hey just because you think one company should dictate web usage"
I think I'm going to enjoy the web FULLY and i'm not going to say no to something because iPhone doesn't have it.
As for mobileme what is it? a lame OVI clone... about the patents there's no need to talk yet...
Till then, enjoy your 10000000001 iphne app:
Anonymous, 05 Nov 2009lol. why need stinking flash. when you can have the web like back in 1996 : With open standards like html 5 and no need for proprietary software from Adobe the web might go back to how it was.
Hey just because you think one company should dictate web usage, that's your prerogative, I prefer things more open where developers don't have to buy Adobe software and users don't have to download Adobe software.
I'm good to see you support Adobe's plan to be on 100% of web accessing devices enjoy the dictatorship, maybe you should get an Adobe T-Shirt, you seem to love them so much.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Hey Bec, the iPhone made 32% of the world's handset revenue with 2.1% of world handset sales...
Every manufacturer who is trying desperately to copy Apples success and failing.
The millions of happy iPhone users who couldn't care less about your faulty list of lies, see that's what all the manufacturers don't get they think by loading up phones with a list of features which have no practical use and bore people to tears and which make them virtually unusable, see that's who cares, Bec.
100,000 Apps the iPhone does things your closed little mind just can't comprehend.

Anonymous, 05 Nov 2009Sssshhshshssshh! The US market doesn't know all that! what, do you want to a called a liar?Shhhh!
The iPhone sold only 3.2 million in the US last quarter that means 4.2 million sold in the rest of the world, in places like Australia where I am, where I can tether my iPhone using the data in my plan at no extra charge, where MMS started working as soon as iPhone OS3 was released, where visual voicemail is free (btw unless you've owned an iPhone you have no idea how good visual voicemail is, voicemail messages are pushed to the iPhone and you can listen to them in any order you want, theres no need to dial in and go through a phone menu system to manage your voicemail.), where calls don't drop out and come through loud and clear, where data is @ 7.2Mbps everywhere I go.

btw the clips that YouTube has specifically for the iPhone ARE the ones you see when you click HD, the iPhone loads them automatically.
As the iPhone does almost 50% of worldwide mobile web browsing most sites cater for it by providing videos in h.264 format which don't require buying software from Adobe as it is an open format which just needs a normal html link to the file to open.
We don't need no stinking Flash.
I work in a phone store, we got a demo N97 today they are selling so slowly we gotta push that rubbish nobody wants.
Meanwhile iPhones continue to walk out the door.
See the thing is I'd rather have a phone with less functions if it isn't annoying to use, the iPhone is enjoyable to use, the N97 is a pain.
Simple fact of life.

You suddenly had this n97 and it happened to be crap. I never mentioned that i owned one of those. The iphone lacks features and everyone knows that. Have you had a look at the N900, omnia hd, or htc or sony phones. For the same price a person could get a phone which has way more features than the iphone. It may be good for media and web browsing but so are the others. The others have better cameras, video calling, flash support etc. Software can be found for free on the net if one searches for it. Besides this most new phones are coming out with capacitive screens which are responsive as the iphones. Nokia, samsung htc and se are way more advanced.

Moreso with the slow HSDPA it would take ages to load a HD youtube video.
And in the end iPhone does play below the standard quality since it uses the standard youtube strea wich it converts into a lower quality via the 3rd party app it uses.
It looks good because youtube SD is 640 x 480 and 3gs res is 320 x 480 and that's that.
Either way there's plenty of other sites using flash players vor video contnent that iPhone doesn't handle... but what can you expect from a low-end phone?
GPU or no GPU o the 3gs there is no such matter of responsiveness while paying video since it can't handle multitasking.
And no, n97 does not need 3rd party apps for youtube or any other video site! can you believe that?
Anonymous, 05 Nov 2009It has tomorrow's features, you dummy!!!!! What do you want it to do? Clean your shoes???If you consider those to be tomorrows features you seriously need to wake up. You are the dummy
Anonymous, 05 Nov 2009dunno ab n97 but youtube works great on both n82 and 5800. i guess you don't have n97 at all.The HD h.264 Youtube clips look a lot better on the iPhone and because they are rendered on the graphics chip, not the CPU like flash uses the phone remains a lot more responsive.
YouTube clips don't work with Opera Mobile Beta 10 on the N97.
The clips I got using the default browser were of very poor quality and had black on either side.
Anonymous, 05 Nov 2009So why can't you install skype on an N97, Bec? Why isn't Nokia sports tracker in Ovi store ... moredunno ab n97 but youtube works great on both n82 and 5800. i guess you don't have n97 at all.

I am an iPhone 3GS owner myself.. And I totally find its a really superb phone based on EVERYTHING and Im loving it totally. And I dont deny there are other handset that are good themselves. And well every specs of a handset has its Pros and Cons.. Its fair enough if we respect each individual handset and accept it the way it is instead of detesting and criticising the particular handset.
Everything depends on individual needs towards buying a handphone. So why not we all end all these wild commodation and learn to respect each other. Fair enough?
