...oh and did i mention that it australian dollars $260 plus on top of that $19.95 postage and handling so add them all up together which makes $279.95!
Dear me thats awful isnt it? I am going to so contact consumer affairs about this attrocius amount for a battery replacement and battery replacement only.
In the lebanese saying "haram" meaning Engaging in an act that is bad like what Jobs wants...
It's very funny ,and so typical ,you guys took the bait. I bag iphone and all you can come up with is colours on the screen,I know you'll follow this post with all sorts of stuff but that is only because you'll be reaching, picking faults with winmo.
You'll be thinking really hard of ways to make iphone better, but deep deep down you know that can't be so.
Windows (as you know) is better on home computers and that simply follows on with mobile phones.
I'll enjoy reading your posts.
Anonymous, 17 Oct 2009$20 for a new battery for an iPhone 3G?
Sure, coming right up:-
http://www.ifixit.com/iP... moreI dont ever void my warranty thanks!
Why would I be st**id enough to do it myself aye?
Either way it shouldnt cost me 260 aud bucks to replace a bloody battery, by the way, i never mentioned anything about $20 for a replacement!!
Learn the facts!
If all u iphone users can bicker about is how many colours your phone has then the functionality must be quite poor (in comparison) to the new breed Winmo. Stop being jealous
Anonymous, 18 Oct 2009It looks the same because your eyes can't tell the difference. Maybe if you were a painter and... moreBattery life on the Omnia HD is atrocious, not having a backlight on an AMOLED screen gets rid of any advantage you seem to think Symbian bestows.
So where you get this "eye can't tell the difference between 65k", that sounds like something they'd brainwash you with over at XDA developers.
Of course the eye can tell the difference, why bother going past 16 bit colour on computer monitors and TV's then?
Anonymous, 18 Oct 2009sales doesn't mean better, I think you've been brainwashedhmm...
You were pretty adamant, you said it twice the second time in capitals, here let me refresh your memory:-
"No offence apple people but the samsung omnia 2 beats this iphone 3gs in every aspect , ALL ASPECTS"
All means everything such as number of sales=fail.
Customer satisfaction = fail.
Pitiful 65k screen, geez is this Omnia a throwback to 2002 or what?
Anyway you can't do much about being colour blind but at least you can do something about being ignorant.

Either way... winmo? that is the most dry/boring os/ui you can have on a phone... It makes everything so dull I could go back to cans connected with a wire.
Old symbian rubbish? well that old rubbish gives 3 hours more battery on heavy use with a bigger screen/resolution than iphone and regarding openness you won't hear of complicated jailbreak and other BS.
P.S. it CAN eve use bluetooth and send MMS to the right adress.
Anonymous, 18 Oct 200965 k colours looks a whole lot better on wvga than 320-480,,have u looked or just being a sheepSo you are colour blind, as you obviously can't tell the difference.
Is there a Post It on your mirror telling you to get someone else to check your clothes before you go out?
So is your computer monitor in 16 bit colour too?
I notice Samsung is also releasing Android phones after the dismal performance of their WinMo phones.
The major market for WinMo is corporate users who don't have a choice when it comes to the phones their employers inflict on them.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Omnia HD is better than your WinMo POS Omnia and it beats it in sales, the iPhone beats them both put together in sales.
Keep your crappy 65k screen, you're probably colour blind so have no idea of how good 16 million colours looks in comparison.
Maybe it comes from squinting at computer screens in the dark too much over at XDA developers.
Peter, 18 Oct 2009yeah I agree ,and what about the apple store, lots of apps but nothing worth a pinch of pig *^@... moreSpoken like someone without a clue.
So which of the business Apps would kids find useful?
Something for remotely monitoring and administrating a network, keeping track of CRM and business expenses, opening the door and starting a hire car remotely, GPS Apps from several providers when driving around, medical and pharmaceutical Apps for keeping track of patients and medicines, full exchange support for Gmail and thousands of others.
So tell me is every "kid" like Doogie Howser or something, maybe it's time you crawled out of your parent's basement and had a look at the real world, that's if you can tear yourself away from the World of Warcraft long enough.
then why is htc releasing a new range of winmo's and 1 or 2 androids,
little timmy, 18 Oct 2009I've been a winmo user for years now and finally decided to try an iphone.WOW what a phone, it... moreYeah those HTC phones are so good that HTC is turning to Android due to declining sales of WinMo.
No offence apple people but the samsung omnia 2 beats this iphone 3gs in every aspect , ALL ASPECTS , I have the samsung and my wife has the iphone , after many hours of using both ( and honestly i am completely open minded)the sammy is overall just a better device. The iphone has some good qualities which I like but is really quite ordinary, the samsung on the other hand is extremely user friendly , samsung has really turned winmo (which used to be a chore to use)into a completely touch friendly fast windows mobile device.
poor camera,no fm radio, bluetooth function r limited screen res is below par,no wvga, apps\games r childish, big phone without good screen to match ie see specs on samsung omnia i8000 or htc touch pro, thousand of free apps on winmo
I have used Nokia (5110 to N95), Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Samsung, Siemnes in the past. I am using an iPhone for last 3 months. So my experience is quite first hand.
The iPhone have a few limitations but the only ones mentionable is lack of standard Bluetooth connectivity and multi-tasking. The other ones are very minor.
However, it has some very nice usability features. The touch screen is the most fluent and sensitive. The design is excellent. The icons look much better, sharper. Some people are claiming better resolution but I find that pictures and videos are pretty crisp.
Surprisingly, business functionality like email and calender are very mature. I configured my MS Exchange corporate email account in 5 minutes. All my email, contacts, calenders events synchronize seamlessly. I have found no difference with the latest Nokia N97 in this regard.
I am reading some posts and some are claiming that it is a low tech phone. It is a complete wrong statement. It is the MOST hi Tech phone available. The basic problem is that Apple did not unlock all the features by default. You can find many software which can unlock these features. No, you do not need to Jail Break it, you can legitimately use many missing features.
It's not a phone which have all the bells and whistle, but it definitely have "something" which other big names missing. Many will sacrifice the missing features for this "something".
