Anonymous, 07 Aug 2009Apple admits but blames it on the users. What a joke.Dont leave it in a car on a hot day.My nok... moreActually your Nokia wouldn't, if you refer to the user manual you will see recommended operating temperatures although Nokia is fairly vague on this issue by not giving precise temperatures.
Anonymous, 07 Aug 2009Just dont use GPS on the iphone3gs in your car on a hot day with the sun beaming in your cars... moreAlthough in a way, it's nice that you brought this up. That way consumers can be aware of what could happen with the iphone if you leave it under direct sunlight on extremely hot days. And I guess on any device as well. I'm sure we all want to take care of our devices, and it's nice to learn something from other people's bad experiences.
Brenda, 07 Aug 2009Where's Apple's statement admitting iphone overheating problems? I can already tell that you... moreJust dont use GPS on the iphone3gs in your car on a hot day with the sun beaming in your cars dash while driving and you will be okay. O.K
Anonymous, 07 Aug 2009Apple admits but blames it on the users. What a joke.Dont leave it in a car on a hot day.My nok... moreAnd oh btw, this iphone overheating incident is pretty minor compared to that Nokia reported incident where its batteries exploded :)
Unexpected things happen to devices sometimes that is beyond the phonemakers control. Sometimes a defective unit is released and gets out to the public, and then the unfortunate customer who buys it gets the bad experience. But that is just how it is. Although it's very rare that Apple releases defective units due to their strict quality control process. Or at least not as many compared to others.
Brenda, 07 Aug 2009Where's Apple's statement admitting iphone overheating problems? I can already tell that you... moreApple stated what's basically on the iphone manual on how to take care of your iphone. And it's probably indeed the user's fault. You cannot blame any phonemaker every time a user abuses their device. If that complaint was valid, Apple would've already been ordered by the Regulatory Board to recall all units, but they haven't, meaning, the iphone passed Regulatory Board standards. As for using it as a GPS. I think even on a hot day it would be ok to use it, unless of course it's for a long trip, then you may want to make sure to place your iphone under a shaded area away from direct sunlight.
Anonymous, 07 Aug 2009Even apple admits to the overheating problem. Why cant you?Where's Apple's statement admitting iphone overheating problems? I can already tell that you're taking Apple's statements out of context.
Apple admits but blames it on the users. What a joke.Dont leave it in a car on a hot day.My nokia would still work in that scenario. So if you use gps on the iphone while driving and its in the window on a hot day there will be an overheating issue.According to apple.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Look it's the same single phone from France which did the rounds two months ago...
...the colour came from a cheap case, it wiped off with an alcohol wipe but that isn't much of a story so didn't generate as much interest as trying to put Apple down.
If you want to enjoy the 3gs in both colours, get a white one and it will get darker for you.
My co worker is starting an internet dating service and he owns the iphone 3g but he said he needs a blackberry for his business cause the iphone wont work for it.I tried to tell him about nokia e series.I'm sure they would work as well, but he is determined to buy a blackberry 8900.
Great, i'll be waiting for the 8gb version of the 3GS. Anyone know when this will likely be available?
i wanna know, 06 Aug 2009Ive heard a rumour that the iPhones that came in white are being recalled from stores and blac... moreA rumor? From where? And you've been asking this same overheating question so many times already. And people have replied to you so many times already that there is no overheating issue. Why do you keep asking the same question over and over and over again? Are suffering from short memory disorder? Gosh, lol.
BPD, 06 Aug 2009Whats so good about this Phone? Only ask cause i am thinking about getting one myselfBPD: It would take forever to type out everything good about this, just read some reviews (google Iphone 3GS review) or watch some youtube videos to get an idea. The best thing would be to go to an apple store or AT&T store and try one for yourself. Goodluck :)
i wanna know, 06 Aug 2009Ive heard a rumour that the iPhones that came in white are being recalled from stores and blac... moreI wanna know: Yeah there was like 1 report of that happening, then people went around claiming that all iphones would catch on fire. It could've been for any number of reasons that that happened, some people even say it was a case that caused that. Personally, my Iphone has never gotten close to being so hot and I'm a heavy user myself. You should be fine, just don't put it in the microwave or an oven, and if you feel that it is hot to the touch on your hand, then give it a moment to cool off. The Iphone will TELL you if it gets too hot and it will shut off for a few minutes while it chills. I have never seen that happen though.
i`m still loving my new 3GS iphone, the user interface is unlike anything i have ever used on a phone, Nokia, Sony etc etc...... i thought i would regret getting this, was sick to death of everyone ranting on about Apple, but YES i am pleased.......
have ordered a case for it, a car charger, and 2 car holders for both my vehicles, it aint cheap once you get it!! lol
Brenda, 06 Aug 2009orry if you didn't like my comment on the iphone being a phone only for those who can afford i... moreYeah, I said that I can see why you said all that. Honestly, if people want everything free than this phone isnt for them. Then again, who DOES give you free internet? I think what they should look in to is an unlocked phone, that way they can buy a high-end device without having to get a data plan. But what they dont want to see is that a phone like this needs a data plan because with push email and mms then they would be charged by the Kb and that would really run up a large sum at the end of the month. Anyways, I think that the data plans are great, you pay extra but get unlimited internet connection. Which in the end you will need it. For email and games and even mms, at least mms needs a data connection in my country, Im sure every where else its the same. Thats all from me!
Jrf, 06 Aug 2009Thanks for your comment! I dont think Brenda is crazy, she's just doing what everyone else doe... moreactually your ryt! it doesnt matter if its cheap or so expensive... nobody can get a perfect stuff. believe me!!!
