i wanna know, 06 Aug 2009Ive heard a rumour that the iPhones that came in white are being recalled from stores and blac... moreA rumor? From where? And you've been asking this same overheating question so many times already. And people have replied to you so many times already that there is no overheating issue. Why do you keep asking the same question over and over and over again? Are suffering from short memory disorder? Gosh, lol.
BPD, 06 Aug 2009Whats so good about this Phone? Only ask cause i am thinking about getting one myselfBPD: It would take forever to type out everything good about this, just read some reviews (google Iphone 3GS review) or watch some youtube videos to get an idea. The best thing would be to go to an apple store or AT&T store and try one for yourself. Goodluck :)
i wanna know, 06 Aug 2009Ive heard a rumour that the iPhones that came in white are being recalled from stores and blac... moreI wanna know: Yeah there was like 1 report of that happening, then people went around claiming that all iphones would catch on fire. It could've been for any number of reasons that that happened, some people even say it was a case that caused that. Personally, my Iphone has never gotten close to being so hot and I'm a heavy user myself. You should be fine, just don't put it in the microwave or an oven, and if you feel that it is hot to the touch on your hand, then give it a moment to cool off. The Iphone will TELL you if it gets too hot and it will shut off for a few minutes while it chills. I have never seen that happen though.
i`m still loving my new 3GS iphone, the user interface is unlike anything i have ever used on a phone, Nokia, Sony etc etc...... i thought i would regret getting this, was sick to death of everyone ranting on about Apple, but YES i am pleased.......
have ordered a case for it, a car charger, and 2 car holders for both my vehicles, it aint cheap once you get it!! lol
Brenda, 06 Aug 2009orry if you didn't like my comment on the iphone being a phone only for those who can afford i... moreYeah, I said that I can see why you said all that. Honestly, if people want everything free than this phone isnt for them. Then again, who DOES give you free internet? I think what they should look in to is an unlocked phone, that way they can buy a high-end device without having to get a data plan. But what they dont want to see is that a phone like this needs a data plan because with push email and mms then they would be charged by the Kb and that would really run up a large sum at the end of the month. Anyways, I think that the data plans are great, you pay extra but get unlimited internet connection. Which in the end you will need it. For email and games and even mms, at least mms needs a data connection in my country, Im sure every where else its the same. Thats all from me!
Jrf, 06 Aug 2009Thanks for your comment! I dont think Brenda is crazy, she's just doing what everyone else doe... moreactually your ryt! it doesnt matter if its cheap or so expensive... nobody can get a perfect stuff. believe me!!!
Ramin, 06 Aug 2009This phone doesn't support office (Word, Power point, ...). I think it's so necessary and i ne... moreguyz.! look, iphones made by mac. so it means it cant support windows application\.. hellooooo!!!!
I have an iPhone 3G. before that, I have been using Nokia. Frankly speaking, at first it was all attractive and fun but seriously it gets so annoying at times, (if it didn't cost me that much, i would have slammed it to the ground :P) I miss simple copy paste, addition n deletion of stuff, multi tasking and so many other things.
One thing's for sure, when it comes to graphics, touch sensitivity, accuracy, smooth flow, sound & Video (the ear plugs are great) there's no one to match an iPhone currently. But then again, it's a pain in you know where, when it comes to data copying, files sharing and many other things which the latest Nokia and other cell phones are capable of doing quite efficiently.
Apple still has a looong way to go, in order to wipe off the rest of the mobile companies out there in the market.
i just got mine for a couple of days now, and i don't understand what the fuss about the improved speed is all about... why am i saying that...? because i have an iPod touch 2nd gen and they're practically the same speedwise. i'm not seeing a difference so far... what i'm saying is that either the iPod is better than the iPhone, or the past iPhones were sluggish... and i mean real sluggish... wha'eva... it's a good phone, anyway, but i thought it would beat the crap out of my iPod, but it was otherwise...
Shadrach, 06 Aug 2009I do not have iphone but I completely agree. Iphone is a good phone but it all depends on how... moreIve heard a rumour that the iPhones that came in white are being recalled from stores and black ones being released because the HEAT (if possible) changes the white cover on the back to yellow? Anyone heard of this or has had this happen top them?
Brenda, 06 Aug 2009orry if you didn't like my comment on the iphone being a phone only for those who can afford i... moreI do not have iphone but I completely agree. Iphone is a good phone but it all depends on how you define "good". To many, iphone may be a piece of crap...to some it is the phone of the century...but it all depends on how you want to use it. If you can't afford a phone with a price tag like the iphone then go buy nice cheaper ones...just don't expect it to provide you with the same user experience.
There are china phones that they brand as iphone...try that and see if you still complain about the apple ihone's price tag lol. I'm using a high-end phone too but i'm not complaining about the price i bought it for.
Jrf, 06 Aug 2009Thanks for your comment! I dont think Brenda is crazy, she's just doing what everyone else doe... moreorry if you didn't like my comment on the iphone being a phone only for those who can afford it. But really, it's true. I was only being blunt about it because it's annoying reading comments by some people putting down the iphone because of its price tag, data plan, itunes and apps. It is true that the iphone is a high maintenance phone and that not everyone can afford it. The iphone is really aimed for mid to high income earners. People who will not complain of data plans and having to pay for music and apps
Ramin, 06 Aug 2009This phone doesn't support office (Word, Power point, ...). I think it's so necessary and i ne... moreYou can read Office files straight out of the box, Word, Excel and Powerpoint as well as PDF and iWork files.
With QuickOffice from the App store you can create and edit Word and Excel 2003 files.
With Docs2Go from the App store you can create and edit Word 2007 files, Excel will be supported in a free update.
Whats so good about this Phone?

Ramin, 06 Aug 2009This phone doesn't support office (Word, Power point, ...). I think it's so necessary and i ne... moreI have no problems viewing Word and Excel attachments on my iphone. I just can't edit them. I'm not sure if there's a way around that, or if there is an app that would let you edit Word and Excel files on your iphone. But I guess if editing Word and Excel files using your phone is a must for you, you need to look more into winmo devices. As for me, it's not that important as long as I can view them, I'm fine. I remember when I had the Treo, it was able to edit Word and Excel files, but I really seldom to none edit files if ever I get them, but I did maybe once or twice, and it's a pain, especially on Excel files. I guess I'm just used to working Word and Excel files on a desktop computer or my laptop.
Anonymous, 06 Aug 2009How does it work with I-Phones when you visit a web page and need to input your password or in... moreWhenver there's a text entry field you touch in it and the keyboard pops up so you can enter your username, there is a next button which takes you to the next field where you enter your password, then a box pops up asking if you want to save the user name and password for that site, so you only have to enter it once.
How does it work with I-Phones when you visit a web page and need to input your password or information? Does a separate box appear that you use for typing your usual messages in??
