Brenda, 06 Aug 2009orry if you didn't like my comment on the iphone being a phone only for those who can afford i... moreI do not have iphone but I completely agree. Iphone is a good phone but it all depends on how you define "good". To many, iphone may be a piece of crap...to some it is the phone of the century...but it all depends on how you want to use it. If you can't afford a phone with a price tag like the iphone then go buy nice cheaper ones...just don't expect it to provide you with the same user experience.
There are china phones that they brand as iphone...try that and see if you still complain about the apple ihone's price tag lol. I'm using a high-end phone too but i'm not complaining about the price i bought it for.
Jrf, 06 Aug 2009Thanks for your comment! I dont think Brenda is crazy, she's just doing what everyone else doe... moreorry if you didn't like my comment on the iphone being a phone only for those who can afford it. But really, it's true. I was only being blunt about it because it's annoying reading comments by some people putting down the iphone because of its price tag, data plan, itunes and apps. It is true that the iphone is a high maintenance phone and that not everyone can afford it. The iphone is really aimed for mid to high income earners. People who will not complain of data plans and having to pay for music and apps

With QuickOffice from the App store you can create and edit Word and Excel 2003 files.
With Docs2Go from the App store you can create and edit Word 2007 files, Excel will be supported in a free update.
Whats so good about this Phone?
Only ask cause i am thinking about getting one myself
Ramin, 06 Aug 2009This phone doesn't support office (Word, Power point, ...). I think it's so necessary and i ne... moreI have no problems viewing Word and Excel attachments on my iphone. I just can't edit them. I'm not sure if there's a way around that, or if there is an app that would let you edit Word and Excel files on your iphone. But I guess if editing Word and Excel files using your phone is a must for you, you need to look more into winmo devices. As for me, it's not that important as long as I can view them, I'm fine. I remember when I had the Treo, it was able to edit Word and Excel files, but I really seldom to none edit files if ever I get them, but I did maybe once or twice, and it's a pain, especially on Excel files. I guess I'm just used to working Word and Excel files on a desktop computer or my laptop.
Anonymous, 06 Aug 2009How does it work with I-Phones when you visit a web page and need to input your password or in... moreWhenver there's a text entry field you touch in it and the keyboard pops up so you can enter your username, there is a next button which takes you to the next field where you enter your password, then a box pops up asking if you want to save the user name and password for that site, so you only have to enter it once.
How does it work with I-Phones when you visit a web page and need to input your password or information? Does a separate box appear that you use for typing your usual messages in??
Raymond, 06 Aug 2009price is expensive ..oh my god..I don't get why people complain about the price. All smartphones here in Australia are around the same price as the iPhone, give or take $100/$200. If you want the features be prepared to pay for them, otherwise go get yourself a Nokia 1650
smokin_anger, 05 Aug 2009so between the n97, n95 8gb and the 3gs which one do u guys think is the best??Why would you want an N95? It's old, it has no competition with the smartphones nowdays. Who on earth even stocks N95s!
This phone doesn't support office (Word, Power point, ...). I think it's so necessary and i need it for my job.
yako, 06 Aug 2009I am gamer freak, anyone can tell which phone i should buy better if my priority is the game o... moreFor games, wow! That's a tough one. The graphics are awesome on the iPod touch that I have and should be a hell of a lot better on the iPhone 3gs. But in my opinion, you should look for something with a physical pad. Its up to you to decide what is more important: graphics or control. I would recommend a nokia with ngage as the games are good, and you have a physical pad. I use my iPod becuase it looks better but when I'm playing Resident Evil for example, my thumb slides off and the guy stops moving in the game. But the graphics look a little better than on the n95. And the 3gs has a better chip for that. But like I said, it is up to you to decide between touch and physical controls.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Thanks for your comment! I dont think Brenda is crazy, she's just doing what everyone else does, every one is entitled to an opinion. Some people take it too far though. I really dont like her comments on how only people with enough money should have the iPhone. But again I see she's just trying to defend her point of view. I personally dont think any phone is the best, there's always something that one has and another doesn't. I think people should concentrate more on the topic instead of fighting eachother. Hope you can find a phone that suits you!
I am gamer freak, anyone can tell which phone i should buy better if my priority is the game of facebook or something like that?
Who should buy iphone and who should not buy!!!
In my opinion:
> You should buy iphone if you want to jailbreak(hack)the iphone so you can down load thousand free apps and themes from Cydia, appulous. you can change the iphone as the way you want to.
> If you dont want to jailbreak the phone, don't buy it... you cant not change anything or adding anything without paying.
DO NOT BUY this CRAP !!! i have one and it's a pice of s..t. Battery -4/5-hours... wi-fi not so good, because using wi-fi = heat...that means u're battery sooon will be douwn.
Anonymous, 05 Aug 2009Seriously? Thats a high recommendation as i know you are/were a keen '95 user. Is there volume... more..typo, meant my mates 2G, not 3G..in any case i have just watched some 3GS sound test clips on You-Tube and i am impressed..i would be more impressed tho if any of you can confirm whether or not the message alerts/ring tones can be set as loud as the music can be?
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Seriously? Thats a high recommendation as i know you are/were a keen '95 user. Is there volume there tho, i tested my '95 8gb against my mates 3G and the output was hugely in the Nokias fsvour. But i understand the 3GS has a higher output than the 3G, could you confirm the volume output is pretty decent on the 3GS pls mate? Also ring/message alert volumes?
