Hey all you Apple fanboys.
I dont get all the hype about this phone, it's rediculous.
Firstly Safari doesnt feature a 'Download Manager' to download items off the internet, e.g. download a .pdf file for a class lecture.
Secondly no Adobe Flash in Safari either, what if you want to access a webpage that needs flash, no flash means the entire webpage is corrupted and words scattered everywhere, i tried to download a Mac version of it, Safari reports "Safari cannot download that type of file" hmm... i wonder why? oh thats right no flash support.
Thirdly in phone you cannot edit a phone number in the keypad section like you would do in a message, meaning if you get a number wrong you have to delete the entire number and re-enter it.
The preinstalled ringtones are absoulutely rubbish they remind of an asian toy i bought for my little daughter, instead for a personalised ringtone you'd have to through a rocket science method to get it, there is no option for you to set one in your iphone.
It takes so long to create a ringtone because the ringtone has to be 40 seconds long and you have to predict where you want it to start and end then you convert it which takes long then you have to rename the file extension then drag in laggy itunes adds to the ringtones folder and then drag to the iphone that takes like 10 minutes of your time.
When on other phones its simply options and set as ringtone
And yes everyones going to reply its peoples choices and yadda yadda but why would anyone want to pick a phone thats impossible to use, no not in terms of UI im talking about the practical stuff it takes a guiniess to do it.
My recommendation dont buy if you have have a lot of time on your hands.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8KoU... moreWell, as i work in a phoneshop it came to notice that most people only want an iphone cause of the hype arround it. when most customers compare the phone to for example the Samsung i8910 HD most functions are way better for them then those of the iphone, still even i confese that its a great music phone... but thats all.. its an mp3 player that can call... and really sucks at that point!
most people cant even hear the person they are calling...
so when you think about it...
iphone sucks as a mobile phone, but is a great entertainment product.
happy now ?

iPhone is the phone everyone wants. I use a 2G iPhone with 1.1.4 OS, It is so dear to me. I love it. I will buy a new 3GS soon and will keep the 2G as the only phone I realy used and loved. IT is the Rolls Royce of all Mobile phones.

Optus MMS Update:
Over a week ago I put a message on here advising people about the MMS problem Optus iPhone holders are having in recieving MMS messages but showing the senders mobile number and not their name.
Update: As from today my recieved MMS messages now show my contacts name and not their mobile number.
Woo hoo ;-)
Once again the guy was looking for away to make a choice and not hear you bash phones neither of you probaly never owned. It's cool to try and bash nokia all you won't which still rules the market but to make up pathetic claims that they copied apple is ridiculous. Nokia first with 16g and first with 32g of memory and adaptable to expand memory, which iPhone can't do. Apple captive touch while nokia resistive so where is the copying. Each phone design there phone with different philosophy and with that different targets of customers, but still it's your choice on what you want. However the iPhone is not as fast as these folks are stating in it has flaws like All phones. Don't believe the hype it's your investment
Do you ever think Apple will be in the Market as a serious Compeditor anytime soon???????
i had lg, nokia, sony ericsson, sumsung, hp ipaq & palm phone. now having iphone 3.0's it been my best phone ever i love it. thanks apple
Anonymous, 08 Jul 2009But our human brain can process about 30fps images. Anything faster than that will be "too fas... moreSo tired of people quoting garbage like "our brain only process 30fps"
Sorry to break to those that stick to that line of nonsense, but our brains visually process a couple of hundred frames a second. 24-30 fps stands out because anything lower than that 'jerks noticeably'. Once you are past 100fps your brain notices 'smoother' flow and 'quicker' responses. 24 & 30 is an old movie standby leftover from way before electronics.
