Sony Ericsson has changed the way we think about Camera's in phones, K750i a true legend
Nokia has just always made solid all-round businessy phones.
iPhone has set the Benchmark for UI and Touch phones.
N95 paved the way for Keypad slider phones, Innov8, W995 are the followers
iPhone is the Benchmark for the Touch-phones.

Though its nice to have a good camera in a phone, i'd still carry a digi cam portable on though.
i'd rather carry a good digi cam and a great phone like iPhone around, Most people do these days anyway!
Dani, 08 Jul 2009N95 did pave the way for the all-round handsets, others have been following since like the Inn... morelet me rephrase...yup, apple has set the benchmark in perfecting a touchscreen interface, where others before and after the iphone have issues of responsiveness which is why firmware/software updates are required.
the 5800 touchscreen is responsive enough to the touch, but it isnt responsive as the iphone merely because it is new for nokia. nokia will eventually fixed that part.
I call the SE satio a camera smartphone.
all cell companies have traits:
nokia - well known for all-around smartphones
apple - brilliant touchscreen interface
SE - camera phones
get my point people?
AGAIN, PREFERENCE COMES TO PLACE of owning a mobile device.
This is a really sad rating on a great phone, there must have been some verizon users doing the reviews. Although I must admit it did not bring any major changes as far as design goes, but hey why change a good thing.
Dani, 08 Jul 2009N95 did pave the way for the all-round handsets, others have been following since like the Inn... moreyup...no doubt about the iphone's brilliant touchscreen. very responsive. as far as paving the way...hmmmm....htc had touchscreen phones before apple. all apple did is tuned up the touchscreen.
I owned one before..the 2g. i sold it. I wanted an all-around smartphone which led me to the n95, 5800 touchscreen, and e71x. I am alternating using all three smartphones.
if apple includes an AF, better lense, and a powerful led flash i may just buy one again.
THAT'S WHAT THE IPHONE NEEDS.
therock, 07 Jul 2009for all the iphone users: the n95 paved the way for the multi-media hansets.Totally agree!
therock, 07 Jul 2009nokia creates ALL-AROUND SMARTPHONES.
the processor of the n95 and 5800 is fast enough.
... moreSE Satio has set the Benchmark for Touch-Camera phones, seen how other have been following? Samsung M12 (Whatever its called)
I like the SE Satio, I know it will be a great phone, SE know how to produce a great phone!, i'v owned many and all are EXCELLENT

the n95 paved the way for the multi-media hansets.N95 did pave the way for the all-round handsets, others have been following since like the Innov8, W995 etc etc
BUT iPhone has set the Benchmark for Touch phones, seen how all other manufacturers have been cloning the iPhone? like the LG Arena, Nokia 5800, Samsung aswell
Best Touch phone is the iPhone as its best there is, from UI to applications - iPhone is KING

Also I don't watch TV or read gossip magazines so this could be the reason on why I haven't seen the iPhone in the hans of a celebratie.
There are lots of great mobile phones ou there, I wouldn't even begin to argue the point in which one is better then the next, because at the end of the day, a mobile is a mobile and everyone has their own needs in what they need in mobile phone, so they'll buy whats suits there needs.
I think it's quiet silly how theres so many people arguing who makes the best mobile blah blah blah. Enjoy the specs of what each mobile offers and move on.
Telco contracts are contracts, read them, stick with them or deal with the blow if you want out of them. Thats your issue, not the telco company. There a businss after all.
for all the iphone users:
the n95 paved the way for the multi-media hansets.
nokia creates ALL-AROUND SMARTPHONES.
the processor of the n95 and 5800 is fast enough.
the e72 is coming out with 600 mhz processor.
for the ultimate all around smartphone the SE satio is the handset.
for the iphone, again what's missing is a great camera to be call an ALL around smartphone.
Anonymous, 05 Jul 2009iphone is great and powerful, yeah it overheats but im pretty thrilled with it!LOL, atleast it... more"iphone is great and powerful, yeah it overheats but im pretty thrilled with it!LOL, atleast it is well powered enough like a pc, the only difference of it from a pc is it doesnt have a mouse and an exhaust fan!LOL not like n97 who is a crippled phone!LOL
n97 is just a pretty good 5800 upgrade! but not like iphone and those iphone competitors, not like that.
nokia e90 and n97 are only nokia's smartphones.
n82 and n95 are far being a smartphone now. maybe 3 years ago, but smartphones today are different from smartphones of the past few years. so dont call those other nokias a smartphone. nokia is only known in midrange phones, they are winning the mid range phones market, but in smartphones they are far behind, apple, samsung, blackberry imate, palm and htc."
the person that posted the comments above is ignorant...lol. sorry. the n97 is well equipped for a smartphone. it is more of an ALL-Around smartphone. yes, it does cripple the iphone for its all around functionality. that goes for the 5800 touchscreen. as far as the n95 is, it is still packs a heavy punch due to firmware updates.
nokia being far from the rest?...lol..that is a joke. the e72 will have a 600 mhz processor and 5 mp with carl zeiss optics.
i have use the iphone 2g and 3g. i never got fascinated so I sold them.
the order is like this nokia, Samsung, SE, LG, HTC....apple is at the bottom of the list.
i had an iphone 3g and now i have upgraded to the 3gs, its a fantastic phone, the fact is, this phone is idiot proof, itunes is the most simple software ive ever encountered, ive had a bberry bold and i used a nokia e71 for 3 weeks as well, the 3gs although looking identical is a huge step up from the 3g its considerably faster the camera is much better they finally added video recording, the voice command is flawless and overall this phone is perfect for someone who needs something super user friendly not too techy and does the job
Angry Machine, 06 Jul 2009Symbian is perfect for normal phones, but I would prefer a different OS for Nokia's next smart... moreso are you refering to the n-series, e-series, xpress music as normal phones?...lol.
have use any of those all around smartphones?...those phones are well equipped with features.
the frame per second in the 3gs is can be higher than 30 f/ps but the antimatter engine in the phone has to be activated and the more anti matter you put in the phone the faster frames you get , i have activated my antimatter engine on my 3gs and yesterday i have put 986 thousand trillion in the power of 986 thousand trillion gallaxys of antimatter per second in the phone so i get decent frames for 1 second . its a great phone overall .
This phone is very ugly.the same shape, the same features. My phone is unic http://www.ucdc.info/concurs.php?idc=1&idf=M&idm=16179&sursa=unu
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I've heard that N97 is exactly the same as N95-96, only with a touch screen and qwerty keyboard. The specs are not even up to par with Iphone 3GS in terms of processor and RAM. When it comes to flash and camera, thats another story. If you want a great camera phone, get the pixon or something. For everything else, 3.15 MP is fine. Sending files via bluetooth? Most people would never use that more than like 3-4 times a year.
If N97 was offered at a super reduced price by AT&T or TMobile with a 2 year contract, I think more people would buy it and more people would know about it. Thats what the Iphone did right...
People who own 3G or 3GS - Please help!
How can you sync iphone to itunes. I have loads of photos and songs on iphone but I can't find a way of transferring it to itunes only the other way round. whats on itunes can go on iphone and whats on iphone gets deleted. I'm not a hitech minded girl but i don't want to replace my iphone with much simpler nokia.
Thanks in advance.
