therock, 02 Jul 2009the optical zoom is much more crystal clear and sharp than the digital zoom.i agree with this..
in photography practises, optical zoom is always better than digital zoom. only noobs rely and check digital zoom anyways. but there are of course great phones out there who dont have optical zoom due to hardware limitations and therefore only have digital zoom.

The guy said i have contacts.
Cop replies, I don't care who you know you're gonna have to wear your glasses!

It's funny how the point system works. Here we start with none and hopefully keep it that way.
3 years to get the points back. That doesn't apply to your license as well does it?
Allan, 02 Jul 2009Always good for a laugh man. cheers.

Using a phone in a car here gets you a $330 fine and you lose 3 points off your licence (you start with 12, if you lose them all you lose your licence.) it takes three years to get the points back.

Hey man, with a fm transmitter as in the n97 which i heard works really well, i'm assuming when calls come in you can talk hands free thru the radio?? Or strictly for music?
Hmm. Kensington only works with 2.0 firmware not 2.1 or 2.2 according to someone who bought it.

The Kensington spare battery I have is useful for a quick top up when I fall down beside my Ford and can't open the door.
Then I can use my mini USB charger to charge the battery and phone while I sober up enough to find the keyhole and get my Ford started.

"software problems can be fixed. Your hardware problems cant be fixed. 1 speaker. Poor battery and no flash."
Walk into any electronics or HiFi store, car dealership etc and you will find hundreds of things which take advantage of this, as pointed out in the GSM Arena review:-
"Audio duality (sic) deserves a High-Five
Just when we thought that they cannot get much better in this area and here come Apple to surprise us. The audio quality of the iPhone 3G was almost as good as it gets on a portable device and now with the iPhone 3GS it is simply perfect.
The iPod's bigger brother provides the best sonic experiences on the market with all of its readings simply remarkable.
As far as the improvements over the previous gen iPhones is concerned, the iPhone 3GS sports a much improved frequency response with the other readings almost on par. No one will probably be able to tell the differences in distortion levels for example, but this is mostly because the iPhone 3G performed flawlessly there to begin with."
If you like listening to music you won't do it through a tiny little phone spesker.
The battery is only considered "poor" because people use them so much, I have always been a heavy user of phone's and take steps ie car charger, spare battery, spare data cable to plug into USB to ensure I never have a flat battery, I do this and have done this for every phone I've owned.
Flash, hahahaha, go to a two dollar shop, buy a keyring LED torch, there you go now you can match most phone flashes.
Allan, 02 Jul 2009That n93 had 3x optical zoom. Wow. How was that.

I liked the fact that it can be transformed in three different ways...flip phone, cam corder, mini lap top.
speaking of transformed. the n93i appeared in the first transfomer movie.

The e72 as well 1500 mah battery and 10.2mpbs 3g.
If the networks offer 10.2, i guess that would be quicker then iphone 3gs and the battery is strong to support it.
Allan, 02 Jul 2009Hey man, hows it going.Good points.thanks, man.
whats keeping me from owning an iphone again is the camera part. i owned an iphone 2g and sold it. 3g and 3g -s have no major differences from each other.
so nokia for me. i like the all around functionality of an N-series and the 5800 touchscreen. i also have used the n93i. one unique phone (mini video cam corder style by twisting and folding)and it was an eyecatcher when i go to the apple store or att store.
now, my eyes are set on the e75.

But people obviously don't want an unique phone, since 20 million bought one and the same phone. That's a pity and says a lot about their mentality. Also, why bother buying one when you can look at them for free on every corner?
Anonymous, 29 Jun 2009Why GSMArena is not writing a review for the 3Gs???!!!They did.
this iphone is like the razr...just a new one with some little updates.
if you want an unique phone wait to the android phones from motorola and samsung.....or buy the AURA
[deleted post]You still dont have the infra struture to support iphone 3gs.
You know what that means? It means theres not enough battery power for a heavy user.
Theres also no substitution for swapping a low battery for a fully charged one.
Not even kensington. Kensington user reports iphone battery at 10% and it takes 70 minutes to bring the iphone up to only 50%. Using whatever iphone at the same time as kensington, its harder to gain battery strength.
