Anonymous, 09 Jun 2012what is the difference b/w sambian os 3 and iphone os 3?Facepalm. Symbian OS is very bad operating system. IOS is one of the best systems.
I had given my i-phone 3GS (16GB) for replacement as it had started shutting abruptly anytime. The replacement phone which came after 3 days was defective , that is it never got started. However, the servive provider was good enough to order replacement once again. It was very frustating though to return without the phone & wait for another 3-4 days. I expect APPLE to at least check the gadget before dispatching it. I was not expecting this laxity from an organisation like APPLE. I keep my fingers crossed & pray God, that this time the replacement is good & not defective. At the moment I'm an extremely unhappy customer of APPLE.

Anonymous, 07 Jun 2012Running iOS 5 destroys performance and battery life.iOs 5 has multitasking and holds apps in active memory which drains the battery faster.
Double-click on the home button and when the dock pops up, the active apps show. Press and hold the icons in the dock until they shake and on the upper left corner of each active app will show a minus symbol. To turn off the apps you're not using, press the minus symbol.
When you keep unused apps off - you can triple battery life. I stick to using WiFi for communication other than the phone, which I seldom use, and can go for 16 hours easily just using the device as an ipod.
