Anonymous, 21 Apr 2010It's a lot of fake advertising too.
They don't tell you you can't use blutetooth
they don'... moreFor most people, yes, that would be a concern, but I'm sure you are an intelligent person who does some research before buying a phone right? Otherwise, you wouldn't be on gsmarena.
Every phone has flaws, its up to the person to decide what phone fits his/her needs. As for advertising, who is going to market what their phone cannot do? Isn't that rather silly and sort of against the point of advertising? Lastly, take a look at some other smartphone ads, and you will probably see some amazing things too which that phone cannot do. Its just that no noise was made against them that's all.
Lastly, a quick Google search will also reveal that Samsung also had a couple of misleading ads. Seriously though, is that the basis one should take to not buy it?

They don't tell you you can't use blutetooth
they don't tell you you can't transfer files without iTunes
they don't tell you how slow it gets if you keep installing/uninstalling
they claim the battery is great???!?!?!!
or about the really really slow internet speeds it has in non 3G areas.
And all commercials are fake and computer generated to leave the impression that it's faster than it actually is...
Apple is deliberately misinforming people
hey guys anone know if iphone 4g is going to come to australia anytime soon?
[deleted post]Interesting, but I don't obsess on what a phone can't do, rather, when choosing a phone, I choose what it can do, and for me, the iPhone does all that I want it to. If I find a phone that will fit my needs better, I will definitely go with that. Before the iPhone came along, I was a big Sony Ericsson fan for example.
If it doesn't do what you want it to, I suggest that you buy another phone. I find it funny though, this phenomena of people trying so hard to get other people to hate the iPhone. Its as if they are unhappy to just enjoy their Samsung/HTC etc LOL.
it's been confirmed by apple it's real...
please read the letter

True, iPhone is not for everyone, but for a few of my friends who have actually used the iPhone, so far they have changed their mind, and at least understand that what makes the iPhone popular is not the specs, but the 'experience'.
Hep, 20 Apr 2010Please, GSMArena do not bet your reputation with publish something unofficial! It was just a r... moreIt's kind of been proven to be fact, not rumour. We can pretty much expect this to be the new iPhone. Personally, I think I like it.
Never been an apple fan. HTC and Samsung seems to have better specs. This 4G should be interesting to see when released. No more hype and marketing ploys. I am forecasting my next phone....
wow!the design looks nothing much different compared to previous iphones!looks so cool and amazing ..only different is that it looks like nokia/sony ericsson design! with iphone design in front..nice!=)LOL! haha
yeah! now the phone is yet totally perfect for me...coz I was waiting for the camera to have a flash...and not only that u made another for the front...I was kinda wondering at first if that would happen, I was about to buy the 3Gs but now I had decided to wait again for this new model...and I hate it coz they always come up with new models haha...I hope this would be the last for at least 4-5 years...let us enjoy the phone first. I'm hoping that when you release this phone,it can also be in the philippines asap. thanks!
how can a sales manager know the tech specs of a yet-to-be-officially-announced phone? the guy's fibbing
mubi, 20 Apr 2010i am a sales manager in apple company and these specs are wrong .the iphone 4g is featruring 8... moreLol....Mr. Mubi. Please kindly stop spreading your dream about iPhone. Apple gonna put a 8MP camera, 4" screen and HD video in iPhone right away????? Absolutely ridiculous. Kindly stop blabbering.
I like the look of this iPhone 4G/HD if it's going to be the real deal.
The only thing I'm worried about is the microsim card slot. To my understanding the microsim card is a lot smaller then the current simcards, therefore people like me who are on a mobile plan but wish to buy the new iphone 4g outright, we may not be able to buy it cause our current simcard won't be accepted in the new iphone and I don't know if your carrier would allow you to swap simcards if you are not buying the new iphone through them. So Im al little worried there.
I'm with Vodafone Australia currently with iPhone 3G S and I haven't heard anything from them about introducing a microsim.
Does anyone know anymore information regarding this issue.
ok, so yes gizmodo did get their hands on an iphone 4g
here's the deal...
> this is in fact an apple product. but just a prototype or an in the works project.
I don't think Apple would increase the screen's diagonal length because if they want to maintain their current aspect ratio then an increase in diagonal length would definitely mean a longer and "broader" phone. The longer part is still OK but the "broader" would be problem as it would make the iPhone a bit too broad for some (read- ladies).
I also feel that the area above and below the screens will remain unchanged as any attempt to reduce that would result in a reduction in ergonomics (accidental screen clicks, problems in gaming etc).
I think the screen diagonal would remain 3.5 inches.
I will not be surprised if the pixel resolution also remains at 320X480(for a faster response time and off course, better battery life!)
I am sure they would use the best available display technology (read-Super AMOLED).
I think it is a fake. I mean the snaps are definitely having footprints of some digital modification. Moreover if you notice the snaps with the side view of the phone(http://gizmodo.com/5520155/gal-1//gallery/6) (snap no 16) you will see that its got 2 buttons, probably for volume + and - but I am sure I have seen a similar thing on a Sony Ericsson model. My guess is that some one has actually stuck a iPhone 3G/3GS on another phone's back cover and then digitally modified certain logos etc.
It is most definitely not a Apple.
And hey remember the more we discuss about this the more successful Apple's marketing guys would be.
