Second questions answer depends on ur requirements.
Except for the part of maps iOS is the best user friendly and more standardized os.
Screen size is different for both.
I have used android devices like Galaxy S duos and now using an Apple iPhone 4s.
Screen and touch for iPhones are superb and others can never match it.

I Love IPhone 4 .. maybe 4s is better .. but 4 is a Revolutionary Mobile !! .. My friends and family have galaxy and so on !! .. I don't feel with them like what I feel with my IPhone ! :)
