Why does the desire cost more, it doesn't have anywhere near 16GB onboard memory, you still have to spend more money on a memory card.

JRF, 28 Dec 2010I have my iPhone without a case to "protect" the signal strength, and I haven't drop... moreUnless you stand and live right underneath a 3G mast...I struggle to obtain a proper signal and it's not down to the network either as my other phone BB has 5/5 bars signal and Iphone HAD 1/5 BOTH on same network! Now that's saying something! I had issues trying to use the web in an office on Iphone and was sitting next to a window! What good is that?

Ok, let's start....the phone itself is great....BUT that is only good in terms of retina screen and apps but nothing else! IF you want to make a call which is the whole and intended purpose, you find that the signal is VERY weak! Oh, for all those Iphone lovers thinking I'm an Iphone hater....well don't just read my comment....(Clare) go to ANY Apple shop and test the signal yourself! The Iphone is absoulte RUBBISH and when you need to make a call....you'll find that your call will either drop or cannot obtain a signal! Other than that the Iphone is a true mobile multimedia device! Personally it's too big for a phone and too small for a mini computer! If you notice why do SO many people carry multiple devices around ie IPod, two mobiles, camera etc....you'll need to carry an extra phone to make that call! Course IF you buy the Iphone! Good luck with your decision!

Okay, lets face it, the iphone 4 is very good on paper. and very good in reality too. but it is overpriced. For a lower price one can get an unlocked HTC desire Z or HD, which in my opinion are as good, or better.(there are many other high rnd phones thou such as the HTC HD7 pro etc). Mainly, iphone is popular cause its apple. If you are going to buy a high end phone, id go for the HTC desire Z if you want android, HTC HD 7 pro if you want windows 7, nokia n8 (or even e7 if youre willing to wait) for symbian, Nokia n900 for maemo and samsung wave 2 for bada.
i just got the n900 and yeah, its very good.
what i want to say is: in my opinion dont go for iphone, its overpriced
