harry, 13 Oct 2010can we unlock iphone 4g to use in india. The Wall Street Journal says that Apple is in talks with both Reliance Communications and Tata Teleservices to bring a CDMA version of its iPhone to India. No confirmed dates yet, but might be worthwhile to wait at least till some confirmation. An official iPhone 4 would probably be cheaper than getting an import.
Hi, Steve Jobs,
pl make the next iphone with a 4 inch screen, 12mp cam, more colorful features, and atleast 1000 most wanted Applications preloaded, bluetooth for data transfer.
In something of a psychological milestone, Apple's stock opened for trading today at just over $300 per share, having risen 25% since late August and 42% since the beginning of the year.
Apple has passed several stock-related milestones so far this year, including blowing past $200 billion in market capitalization back in March and passing Wal-Mart in market capitalization just a few days later. In April, Apple's stock topped $250 for the first time, and by late May Apple had passed Microsoft to become the second-largest U.S. company by market capitalization, trailing only Exxon Mobil.
Since that time, Apple has expanded its lead over Microsoft in market capitalization to nearly $50 billion, although it has been unable to close the gap on Exxon Mobil as the energy giant's stock has also performed well over the last few months.
Apple is due to release its earnings report for the June-September quarter next Monday, with some observers predicting that the company will reach $20 billion in quarterly revenue for the first time in its history and surpass Microsoft in revenue for the first time in 15 years.
vijju, 13 Oct 2010i want know battery life of iphine 4 can it last whole day wth internet surf mail. . Yes it can. I use it for emails, surfing, and light gaming, and it lasts a whole day. However, more intense gaming would require a quick recharge around mid-afternoon.

Anonymous, 13 Oct 2010lolz...this changes is everything, again (with cr*ptime)! It's like re-invention of video call... moreLol, and there you have it folks, the awaited uneducated answer hahaha.
Facetime is the beginning my friend, and as soon as implemented, will be on 3G and in other apps.
In the mean time, Yahoo Messenger just updated their app. Video calls are now possible between iPhone 4 and other phones with front facing camera, as well as to PCs, over wifi or 3G.
lolz...this changes is everything, again (with cr*ptime)! It's like re-invention of video calling for mor*ns. Both mor*ns need to have iphones and wifi as well. This is 2010, folks and we're moving backward. Keep it up, ifa*g*s.
the phone is aws, yeah happy , and no fail calls, he nokia is far away
Of course, just to pre-empt, I fully expect an 'intellectual' answer from k2nN or his various IP Addresses with the "oo iCrap crapple" psycho babble lol. Poor guy, not getting the heated responses he used to, might have to look for attention elsewhere.
Not trying to advertise Facetime, but certain things should be explained and understood:
What needs to be understood is that Facetime is not the end, it is the beginning. It is not just an app, it is a platform that is open for others to use. There are already talks that Skype and even Android may implement it. An example, (which is a bit of a stretch), is when Apple added the Compass App to the iPhone.
The Compass in itself had limited usage, and merely showcased the iPhone's ability. What was quietly happening was how Apps took advantage of the iPhones accelrometer and compass abilities and integrated it into their apps. Now, every other app is location aware, etc, and we take it for granted.
Secondly, having just one model, really simplifies things for Apple. Just like how all BB users know, they can chat with each other using BB Messenger, iPhone 4 owners can say "Oh you use iPhone? We can Facetime" and this will be true for iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4, and hopefully iPad 2 onwards.
This same level of certainty is not there for Android owners for example, as you would not know, what model your friend is using, which firmware etc. Of course, workarounds exist, using 3rd party apps, but this will require signing etc. This does not exist on Facetime, as it is integrated within the system OS. Making Facetime calls is as easy as making a phone call.
Facetime is in its infancy and will only improve in the future. Hopefully the wifi-only shackle will be lifted. Also, we have yet to see integration with other apps. of course, nothing is certain, but personally, Facetime looks promising, and I for one hope that it will be able to live up to its great potential.
As it is, it is already making an impact, with news headlines about video calling are referred to as 'FaceTime' even when there isn't an iPhone or Facetime app in sight.
