apple iphone 4 has reception problem ?

    Guys, guys, it's not a bug, it's a feature.

Steve Jobs has once again brought us innovation. Innovation on how we end calls. No longer do you have to press tiny buttons or smudge your beautiful touchscreen.

Just HOLD your phone, call ends. It's so simple, it just works! Just like that! Magical!

Anonymous, 04 Aug 2010Antenna reception is the iphone 4 FAULTY DESIG N..it totally cannot fixed / solv ed by jailbre... moreit can be fixed, but the cost of recall and fixing for all the phone they release is 1.4 billion dollor, means they messed it up big time, that is why they come up with this stupid idea of putting plastic ring (bumper)round your phone, even with that the reception is so bad, what a joke this phone is!

Kath, 04 Aug 2010If I wanted a good camera I would buy a dslr, not a phone ;-) I want a phone which I can us... morewell said one of the best post we had for months, to add to that you guys who are still dreaming about iphone4, have you really looked to see what else is out there? have you really thought about the game might have changed and there are some (very few, but still enough) phone out there which by far out performing iphone4, at the fraction of costs, and as our friend said here you can MAKE A CALL WITHOUT INTERRUPTIONS!

Let me give you some examples:

Galaxy S, HTC desire, Samsung Wave (which i believe its superb if you are not a heavy apps user), these are the phone which currently leading the market, I even say iphone 3GS,

but never iphone4, why do I need a piece of stupid plastic round my phone to make a call?!!!!!!!!!

Peter, 04 Aug 2010I have been selling mobile phones for 10 years, the iPhone is the best phone. Enough said.REALLY! IF YOU REALLY DO THAT, then you would know the technology in mobile has rapidly changed in the past year (2009), iphone used to be leading, but the inovation stopped in 2007, the 3gs was the best phone of its time and may be still competeing with some, but ip4 was a disaster and nothing really new in terms of leap from 3gs, so why do I need a phone which struggles with antenna and reception, ? beside its not open source Apps, there is no proper blue tooth for file transfer, no usb connection!! iphone4 is nothing but a joke and people are strat returning it already, and many are just aviod buying now they realize all these flaws.
so I really doubt you are seller, you don't anything about phone certainly smart phones and what is out there
avoid this phone at any cost!

That's ok. Well I don't need a Fring app to do videocalling over 3G on my old Nokia 5800. I can do it with Symbian. The fact is in the Global Marketplace, Apple is not first but third, it is not selling the most handsets. The finnish giant is still King & crown.

The fact that you can customize search engines on Apple Iphone between, Google, Bing, Yahoo is better than it was when I last checked. Once upon a time Apple OS was very limited to say the least in these two areas. The fact that you can now utilize several browsers, I didn't know this either. Which Browsers? Mozilla, Opera...?

Apple are still in infancy to implement Folder Structures, Videocalling, Networking, multitasking. They also need to be compliant with more third party Application level Protocols, PHY layer, OSI Layer. DLNA, UPNP, A2DP are just a few of protocols their apps need to support properly when interconnecting with non Apple Products, International Standard Bodies etc...

This doesn't mean I let Apple off for good work. I have many boons, issues, problems with their software still. It's still not good enough to be in my life. I need more variety, functionality, choice, customization, compatibility, compliancy.

Until Apple provides this I won't be stopping by their neighbourhood anytime soon. Hope Apple sees the benefits to these areas even though they are a closed platform.

Some people don't want to have the choice of just being chained to Itunes for their Music Purchases either. Their may be a lot of Apps but considering there can be 100's or more variations of the same given book or app book written by the same author, an example of how many apps are in fact copies, repeats, can be a little un useful, waste of time.

It needs to be more well sorted, more organized, more well structured. But also I want Apple to allow customizable mp3, wma, wav, aac ringtones to any contact. We want to be able to have homescreen shortcuts & more widgets available on the Homescreen. There needs to me a transflash MicroSD External storage option.

These are the things that Apple misses. It's nice that Apple have added customizable wallpapers, but there needs to be animated wallpapers. Unified mailboxes, inboxes & threaded messaging is nice, so is multiple homescreens.

All in all the Iphone 4 is good but needs to be better for the times we are in when other Mobile OS's provide the latter things Iphone doesn't have throughout my subjective & objective opinions I have made. I am glad that there is some kind of progress at least to make those less inclined with what's on offer to at least think more closely about considering Iphone as an option.

I want a phone which I can use for it's purpose: MAKING CALLS without being disconnected during calls!

And if I want to make a video call I should be able to do that with every other user of another phone no mather what brand of phone it is.

With FaceTime you've got to be connected to WiFi and the other user has to be on WiFi too AND it has to be someone who also has an iPhone4 :-(
                                        This s**ks big time.

BTW video call feature is something every other brand of phone has for over 4 years.
Apple calls it innovating... Yeah, NOT

Apple did many great things back in 2007 but time caught up and so did Android.

2010 is the year Android outperformed Apple in sales with a growth of 886% compared to last year!!

Sorry for all Apple fans but the iPhone4 is passed by the Android powered Galaxy S.
