Apple iPhone 4 - user opinions and reviews

There are way too many iPhone 4 haters on this site.
As most will agree, the iPhone 4 is the best phone you can get today. Period. Having owned one now for the last few days, all I can say is that the user experience is second to none. You won't find a single Android device with this level of usability in the UI.
The hardware is also very well designed. Despite the accusations of those who claim the death grip kills all iPhone 4s, I can't bring my bars down if I try. In fact, the reception and call quality is even better than my 3GSs quality was.
All in all, this is an across the board upgrade for any phone owner. Although Android is looking better and better, the iPhone is still the phone to beat.

don't even think about buying this phone, if you want apple phone, its fine, go and buy yourself 3GS not iphone 4, you would regret it big time
Or go and buy yourself a piece of engineering at its best: Galaxy S, Wave, HTC desire,
avoid ip4 at any cost

I'm a clients loyalty of iPhone 3GS 32 GB,I'm a people of Cambodia, I'm intersted iPhone 4 ,But
anyway the price is still higher if we compare with others phone as Nokia , Sumsung , LG,,,els.....
But the Model and new design is very good than others phone and Program is good also with ineternet and high speed for check www...

But before i do that i need to know about the reception problem thingy lol. Is it that only AT&T users face this problem? Cause AT&T is from the US right? So we definitely don't have it here.
& so does this mean if i purchase the phone here i won't face the reception problem?

I have had the iPhone 4 for 4 days in the Telstra network in Australia. Using the death grip the worst I get is losing 1 bar when reception is weak. I have never dropped a call. The ios 4.01 works better than ios 4.0. I think the main problem in the US is AT&T. In oz we have Telstra optus three virgin vodaphone plus we can buy unlocked outright from apple (which I did)

Now that there is a jailbreak the iphone 4 will continue to be the best and we will see it getting better.
i still think even with the slating this phone has received it is still the best phone on the market.

... moreWow I guess this is another example of "better on paper does not mean better in reality"! Yes, it appears that the Samsung Galaxy S is the superior phone when looking at purely the specs. And if you want to go just by the numbers, then it would be bette to buy the Galaxy. But you should never go purely by numbers because, remember, in a few months another phone will come around with even better specs!
Keeping that in mind, I got the iPhone 4 and I think it's amazing. Yes, it may be slightly inferior when looking at certain configurations, but as the person below said, the user experience cannot be matched at the moment.

This is obvious sign that the problem is with AT&T in US...hrdly any complaints from people in UK, canada, singapore, germany, australia and elsewhere. Why there is only one iphone carrier in US? And did you know that unlocked iphone is not even available in US to buy, but you can buy it from in Apple in UK or Canada? Seems pretty "un-American" to me!
I am very happy to hear that people around the world are not facing the reception problem with iphone 4. i will buy it when it comes out in india...hopefully by november or december i will buy it

But your review (just like official reviews with specs/configuration info) leaves out the user experience. I wish I did more research before buying the Galaxy S. Overall, the satisfaction you get when using the iPhone 4 is higher..i know because my best friend bought an iPhone 4 and believe me, using that phone is so much better. It's hard to pin point the reason. It could be the overall speed, the iPhone 4 is snappier and flows better without any lag. It could be the OS..downloading from the Apple app store is a much better experience than using Android. Plus the Apple OS just seems to work better than Android...Android is cool, but it still seems a little underdeveloped when compared to iOS.
and belive it or not, I find the call quality and reception on my friend's iphone 4 better than my Galaxy S! OK. maybe the reception is equal, but the call quality is definitely better on the iphone! Strange...
