Bruceben, 27 Jul 2010I am confused whether i should buy the iphone 4 or htc wilfire. The iphone is more expensive b... morepersonally for a business man. It would have to be the nokia E72 or Blackberry Bold. But if you're comparing the 2 phones, I would say HTC Wildfire for the moment as the Iphone 4 is having some major problems on dropped calls. Once that is fixed then definately the Iphone 4.
Works fine if you don't touch the bottom left corner.
Don't see what all the hype is about, they're a good phone with useful/innovative/fun apps.
So far (compared to 5 years of N-Series) I've found the reliability of the handset amazing, no random restarts or stuttering! Despite the poor multi-task you can still stop and resume apps in a way which is convenient.
Overall it's generally a cool looking phone, I would recommend it but if you're left handed like me you'd better learn to adapt and FAST! You cannot touch that bottom left corner!
Leroy Brown, 27 Jul 2010I run Quake 2 and Halflife on my Motorola ZN5. Not Java games the original pc games ported to ... moreSamsung Galaxy S runs Quake 3 without any progblems. The Iphone GPU and CPU and Under clocked so they cant handle it. Besides you cant get quake on the phone, its not approved in the Apps Store lol.
I am confused whether i should buy the iphone 4 or htc wilfire. The iphone is more expensive but being an apple lover i favor the iphone. On the other hand the wildfire is smaller (better for me) and cheaper but dont know whether itll sync well with my macbook. What i mean is: does my apple macbook and htc wildfire phone work well together or does windows do a better job with the wildfire?? as a business man which of the two would you think ll' be better?
I work for o2, the iphone 4 - despite it's antenna 'issues' is still selling like hot cakes. go figure.
Roger Moore, 26 Jul 2010Try putting your tongue on the iPhone4 antenna during a call, Your tongue gets a burning sensa... moreDon't do that too often. It's microwave radiation (yes mobile phones emit in the microwave spectrum, with the difference that they use frequencies which are not absorbed by water, unlike in the microwave ovens) which is absorbed by your body.
The iPhone 4 should be widrawn from the market since it's dangerous to the user.
the iphone4 may as well be called the ipod4, the only thing that the ipod can't do is make a phone call.
iphone4fan, 27 Jul 2010Incorrect adaptive interfacing by reviewers/vocal early adopters is whats causing all this ov... moreI am not sure I understood your english!!, or was that a iphone lanuage? adoptive to what? what are you talking about?!, adaptive to drop calls and bad reception? do you think people are stupid to buy a phone which they can hardly make a nice conversation without interruption, and get a frequent drop calls? this is not a small percentage, who said that? every single iphone 4 is effected by this and anyone in the right mind should avoid this at any cost, seems you are not one of them because you are cloned.
Leroy Brown, 27 Jul 2010I run Quake 2 and Halflife on my Motorola ZN5. Not Java games the original pc games ported to ... moreHi Leroy, yup said in my comment myself, the game is very simple. What I actually liked in the demo is the use of iPhone as a controller to play on the iPad, and the iPad itself connects to a TV, making the whole setup almost like a console. Just sharing the interesting use of technology.
For FPS, check out NOVA, using the new gyroscope. Also kinda nice. Again, not the game itself I'm looking at, rather the use of technology:
apple better think about new innovation when it comes down to the so called smart iphone by re branding it as the dumb iphone.
Bad Apple, 27 Jul 2010Yes we have seen the new level of disaster with antenna issue, do you really not reading the n... moreIncorrect adaptive interfacing by reviewers/vocal early adopters
is whats causing all this over-reaction.
Change is always hard, shame a small % of people that just can't evolve.
This hype and fear of simple change is whats driving this madness that
attacks Apple's core values , yes pun intended. The core of Apple as always been adaptive to the market to understand them, and if a simple
case helps, so be it.
iphone4fan, 27 Jul 2010Apple is pushing the limits, we have to take on board these new technologies and adapt to them... moreYes we have seen the new level of disaster with antenna issue, do you really not reading the news, reviews, etc? wake up man, what inovation?, many smart phones in the market are by far more advance than iphone, and you can also make a phone calls from them without a drop calls, and now you talking about inovation!!! what a joke!
you are just dreaming , this phone was a total failur!
Adapt your level of phone handing to involve the product to perform at it's peck level.ie the antenna system design is range searching.
'poor or incorrect adaptive interfacing'
Poor understanding and involvement of your product will cause the same poor result. Interfacing incorrectly on the Antenna strip separator will produce poor ranging results.
Simple and part of the known evolution of products, which Apple,
and there CEO is bringing forth into this industry, build upon decades of experience.
I again would like others here to join me in thanks to Apple as we both enjoy this adaptive interfacing future with our products.
Black is more popular model anyway, so what if white ones are delayed, the black versions are outselling it anyway.
Any other iphone fans here? Stand up and be heard!
Apple is pushing the limits, we have to take on board these new technologies and adapt to them.
Like we Adapted to automatic gearboxes from Manual gear selection choice, we should adapt to future methods of phone interfacing i like to call it.
"Hold it different" is a crude term for adaptive interfacing.
And gets bad press.
Basically Apple is involving everyone in a new level of technology ,
and i know people hate change, but 'adaptive interfacing' is going to push the envelope, get on board or be left behind!
Thank you Apple, push forward

Also jailbreaking is one of the things that make the iPhone popular (and I think Apple secretly acknowledges this), so I think in a funny way, it actually works in Apple's favour.
Kind of how pirated PS2 games allowed it to dominate the console war over Gamecube and XBox in the asian countries.
