I can do all those things on my Galaxy S, just i'm not interested in the light saber app from Android market:). I might use the app to find baby patterns (eat, sleep, cry, crap) in the future.
Until then I enjoy a full web experience visiting sites with flash, I can see avi, divx, MPEG4 movies (Avatar divX in native format of 9:16), I can text much better with Swipe, I use Shazam, Google maps navigation, make pictures and videos. I'm happy with my Galaxy S too. Oh wait I forgot that I have also TV out.

[deleted post]Point remains though right? If voting was what counts, higher rated phone should have sold more. Since that was what the original post was yapping about.

It doesn't even have an antenna problem! So where are the millions and millions of buyers rushing to buy it so that it can outsell the iPhone 4?

Some people value ease of use, some people go for the brand. Kinda like buying a Mercedes sometimes for some folk. Do you agree with this? Maybe yes maybe not, but who cares, free choice baby.

Some people will not use a smartphone to the fullest of its ability either. Even those who buy Android phones.

Even with my 'limited' iPhone, I check my email, SMS, Whatsapp, sync my database using Bento, take casual photos, upload them to Facebook, send them through email, identify songs using Shazam, listen to my funny voice using I am T-Pain, read what's on my google reader, using Reeder, read comics using Marvel & DC comic reader, I am a Street Fighter by day, and a Guitar Hero by night, drive around and crash on Need For Speed: Shift, pretend my iPhone is a lightsaber using the Lightsaber app, follow Formula 1 races using the F1 Timing App, stitch panoramic landscapes together using Auto Stitch, wake up refreshed and check my sleep patterns using Sleep Cycle, find out the best settings for my DSLR using DSLR Toolkit, and keep track of my finances using PocketMoney.

Whatever it is, I am very happy with my iPhone, and it fulfills my daily needs which may be totally different from the next phone user. That's why when you may say the Galaxy S or this phone or that phone is better than the iPhone on paper, I would even maybe agree with you, but would it serve my needs?

              Maybe not.

just a simple question, if this phone is really that great, where are these millions and millions of fan voting? the rating is going down the drain, its real people voting and the result is very poor ? have you asked yourself why? bacause people simply don't want a phone with serious antena issue, those who even got it they are returning it back, please just wait for few month and then judge how bad this phone will perform, and sells!
iphone4 has absoloutly nothing new to offer compare to 3gs and compatetors, I love gsm arena by far the best site in the world regarding the smart phone news and views, they will do well, and I am glad they did not remove the voting system for iphone, this shows how professional they are and they reflect people voice good or bad. well done arena.

Chris, 21 Jul 2010You say the first phone to have facetime... my Sony Ericson did video calls without a WiFi. A... moreSeriously, I think there's been more than enough media coverage on this. People are aware of this, and have decided either way. Those who want it, have the option to return it. Some people don't really make that many calls anyway, so don't really care. And most times, people are not reporting problems anyway.

Its funny how the other companies are very defensive now, and if you notice, even the media is shutting up regarding the antenna issue ever since the press conference. It was fun when the spotlight was only on Apple, maybe now that the spotlight is on the whole industry, the other companies are getting a bit nervous?

Hahahaha, give it up haters. It's another fruitful quarter for Apple. Eat your heart out media. Apple is here to stay, and is even stronger than ever.

There is no antennagate issue among users. It's only the media and the haters who made such a big fuss about it when real ip4 users are very happy with their ip4.

As for rim, nokia, htc, motorola and samsung. Ip4's external antenna will be an innovation. Little things have to be addressed, like attenuation issues, but it definitely brings more benefits, making it worth the risk to explore and innovate on. Unfortunately for you guys, you're stuck with internal antennas. You guys cannot adopt external antennas after Apple makes it work soon, because of all the bad criticism you guys threw at the ip4's design, hahahaha

Camera comparison. Not very technical, but demonstrates what I love about the iPhone camera. Perfect for daily point and shoot use. For other stuff I use my Lumix.

iphone4fan, 21 Jul 2010easy there, Iphone4 -it has 3g, Wi-fis and down-loadable apps. First phone to do facetime ... moreYou say the first phone to have facetime... my Sony Ericson did video calls without a WiFi. And also when oyu say hold it correctly, maybe you should pass that message onto Apple.. look at their tests of the other smartphone antennas, they are all being hold defferently, some extremely ridiculous in the attempt of just covering the antenna... where as in the iPhone you don't have to hold it ridiculously to get the same effect.

July 21 (Bloomberg) -- Nokia Oyj will probably report lower profit and flat sales tomorrow, fueling investor concern the world’s biggest maker of mobile phones needs a leadership change to better compete with Apple Inc. and Research In Motion Ltd.

Second-quarter net income may have fallen 24 percent to 287 million euros ($374 million) from 380 million euros a year earlier, according to the average estimate of 26 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. Sales were probably little changed at 10 billion euros, the average of 43 forecasts showed.

Nokia, which is losing market share in high-end smartphones as it struggles to finish the flagship N8 device, has seen two- thirds of its market value wiped out since Apple’s 2007 introduction of the iPhone. The company may name a new chief executive officer to replace Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo as early as this month, the Wall Street Journal reported yesterday.

NumberCruncher, 21 Jul 2010I have decided to do a comparison of iphone 4 versus Samsung Galaxy S I9000, the Galaxy matche... more- weighs less but bigger/ As if a couple grams will make that much difference
                                - Unlimited call records/ This feature is one of those features that is practically useless to most phone users.
                                - Card slot /Win
                                - Video calling not limited to wi-fi/ Video calls over 3G are still kinda choppy and sound quality is crap over Wi-fi on the other hand it's a whole lot better so it's a quality compromise.
                                - Has radio/Win
                                - Flash lite/win
But again Iphone remains the best selling high end smartphone without radio and flash support so one could argue that these are not as important as people make em out to be.
The one thing that you all neglect in your arguments is the fact that the Iphone is a beauty and that's the one reason that so many people are attracted to it. Power alone does not sell a phone i.e N900 that phone was a beast but coz it's one hell of an ugly and chunky phone very few people even considered buying it.
What they have done at apple is identify what matters most to users and given them what they want.

The antennagate might be the error to cause heavy damage to Apple & market appeal. Steve Jobs is a worried man I am sure.
