The thing is the iphones shatters more easily,and apple charges much more for its version,which ultimated if not completed covered by cases,leather or otherwise will get damaged. the cases therefore completely obscuring the view of the glass thus making the extra money charged by apple all the more unnecessary

AGAIN, i have never read, not even once, a review that stated that an amoled display is better than the iphone4's. Maybe an amoled display does have better blacks than the iphone4, by a small margin, but overall, the iphone4 has the best display quality in brightness, in clarity, and in color rendering. So stop boasting about your amoled display until you can show us professional reviews that state that it's better than the iphone4's display.

But there are more and more cases for it coming out. There is no such census to show that the 3gs has the most cracked displays. As for the iphone4's display. How many phone's you see on the internet subjected to the same stress test as the iphone4? Truth is, a lot of haters want to see the iphone4 crack and break but don't bother doing the same with other phones. Again, under normal use, the iphone4's casing can withstand drops and can resist scratches much better than other phones. It's either you can afford to take the risk to get an elegant phone, or you can stick with plastic displays that may not shatter, but would scratch easily and looks cheap. Your choice.

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2010So buy a different case, lots of companies make them, in fact there's o whole industry of acce... moreamount of data being put through doesn't not meaning anything in far as reception,in fact with poor reception means naturally data takes longer to transfer,with many users data transferring at slower speeds its easily to see how this can happen. naturally as is with any new product iphone 4 users will all simultaneously be trying to use it simply as a laugh checking out its features for the first time,thus more volumes of users at one time more than normal which fring has not been used to handling. Some of the current problems with fring at the moment is the removal of skype in it due to internal conflicts between fring and skype.iphone 4 users using fring aswell for calling surely makes apples terrible emotion filled wifi facetime ads even the more awful.
As for amoleds bleeding colours....you've obviously never used one. having had two amoled phones and friends with super amoled seeing them on hand over periods shows the vast improvements,depth,shadaows ,contrasts. Colours are more saturated and vibratant due to superior contrast,regular amoleds hitting the 100,000:1 marks like most high end hd screens,super amoled hitting better heights.most people coming form a 3gs will notice a huge contrast differnece and colour vibrance due to the low ratio on lcd technologies.
ips lcd uses far more battery,one reason perhaps for apple not using a bigger screen. iphone battery does indeed last longer than the 3gs but this is something which was badly needed to be improved,reviews show apples so called 50 extra battery life is like alot of current claims form apples as being not quite true

Professional reviews have consistently stated that the iphone4's display is the best. Better than any devices with amoled display. So who cares if amoled is newer technology if it's inferior in quality.
The iphone4's battery life has improved almost 50%, so there is no reason for anyone to complain about its decision to keep an lcd display. You're being unreasonable.

The reds seem... moreapple wanted samsung to supply super active matrix organic light emitting diode screens for iphone 4 ..i suppose if they had the iphone would have been 80% samsung processor and other bits ..SAMOLED far superior to lcd..deeper blacks ..ps i had a iphone 4 i should know ..

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2010Your not a very polite guy are you! The screen on the iphone 4 is ok...Apps are second to none... moreTo say that the iphone4's screen is just ok is an understatement. It's awesome, and I don't care which device you're a fan of. Yes, there is a flaw with its antenna placement, but it's not like it can't be easily resolved with a case. The iphone4's reception is actually better than prior iphones. As for its 5mp camera, it's been CONSISTENTLY proven over and over again on professional reviews that it ourperforms other devices with 8mp cameras. The iphone4 is simply one, if not the best, smartphone out there.

It's a free world.
Regarding reception, iPhone 4's had no problems bringing down the Fring network due to the high amounts of data being pumped through the antenna.

The reds seem to bleed into the colours next to them.
The Amoled production process isn't ready for the big time, LG and Samsung (the ONLY companies that make them) can't keep up with demand, HTC has been forced to use LCD's in some of their models.
A high selling phone like the iPhone, forget it.
