It's beautiful.... moreI would have to agree that signal issue is a hardware issue with this iphone4 and cant be addressed through a firmware update and i am not sure if those rubber covers really solve the problem.I hope for you it gets solved bro.Did you get the white or black one?

Nobody should take this phone specially this Iphone 4... Its the worst phone I've ever experienced...

Well i often use Java applications, like dictionaries and E-books Iphone 4 is very good but i wouldn buy it because i may not be able to use jar or sis formats ...
but u can install iphone apps

Here is the physics, with the new antenna's in the iphone 4, suppose to use the human body to amplify the signal when held in your hand which becomes conductive witn the steel strip on the phone. So instead of doing that it has had the opposite affect which has become resistive, so to stop this happening you have to have a plastic cover. MORE COSTS.

It's beautiful.... moreSignal strength issue cannot be solved with software update because this is hardware design problem. But don't be desperate, still can be used keeping him on the desk with speakerphone or btt. Though everybody will know that you use newest cripple Apple baby but..who care.You love Aplle and love has no limits. Don't be worried iPhone5 will be much better.

Why should the all perfect iphone use an antenna technology that is not perfected.
Why should I pay so much and only have to use the phone in the right hand.
May be its special to hold yr phone in a defined apple position.

Anonymous, 25 Jun 2010it is not a software problem its a hardware problem.But through firmware they can tell the phone the antenna is a bit smaller and ignore the resistance + when the left hand is used increase the noise canceling options to tweak for perfect use.
Iphone4 users unite! Steve is a very nice person to us and listened when we wanted to be the first phone with multitasking, and he updated it for us.
