Videocalls in 2006? Haw haw no way mate. Nokia had videocalls in around 2004 in their phones. Nokia also had bluetooth and 3g in 2003. and mp3 player and radio in 2001. So videocalls were around 2003. And Apple 7 years later.
phones have been releaed with 512 ram or more since last christmas by the way which shows the iphone lagging behind. 1 gz processors were in phones last autumn, video calling has been available on even entry level phones since 2006\2007 and over 3g too,not restricted bizarrely to wifi, and it certain won't revolutionise you life the way apple is trying to convince the fanboys. Most people you tried video calling over the years review of it would be....meh its ok
its is fair to compare the iphone alone against the whole collective whole of the android phones since that essentially is what it is iphone os vs android os. There in lyes the downfall for iphone os, its only one phone which apple applies massive control and massive overpriceing on,which ends up as a semi high spec phone they over hyped and strategically market to get fanboys to empty their bank accounts. While the android is open source, countless companies battle for top android spot, meaning massive compettive drive. Android thus produces better, higher spec phones on a monthly basis and with competing companies eager to hit sales the prices are far more resonable, upgrades faster and no need to start saving very penny you have for next years so called 'new' iphone which steve jobs will demand you by because as he says 'its so cool' to own
igo, 20 Jun 2010yes, it may be an iphone, but its way too expensive, there are cheaper phones offering higher ... moreLiquidity is more important. I sold my 3 yrs old iphone2G for 200pounds whereas 2 yrs old original Omnia by samsung is onli 90pounds off ebay now. get it? Moreover, looks of iphone comes from precision manufacturing which cost money.
[deleted post]lets not go nuts. nokia have lost their way, but nobody is as bad as sony ericcson lol

Samsung phones drops price by 30% after 2 years. I sold my 2Giphone for 200pounds to buy iphone4. I bought Iphone 2G back in 2007. See the point?
[deleted post]Sony and Sony ericsson are two seperate company jerk. Samsung profit and revenue is so much higher than sony at the moment and its stock is stronger than sony. Samsung ranks way higher than sony at the moment. Sony buy LCD and LED backlit from Samsung.
For the second object, in terms of global market, Apple might not be first. We cannot imagine the whole world is as rich as America or Norway right? But if you live in first world country, you can see Iphone almost anywhere. LOL

Coming from an apple rep..... Not like you are going to say the product is crap. "sooooooo much better battery life"?? it's more like the opposite. It's funny how he/she just mentioned about the battery life, it's obviously an issue so they have to rave about it. What about the amazingly fast OS, fantastic built quality, great features?.... but no it's the battery life.... alarm bell is ringing.
Sold my n97 mini regret not getting iphone 3gs since the price with n97 mini are almost the same last year! Never mind i thinking of samsung galaxy s, desire or iphone 4 for my next phone
ATT is no go in US - does not work, so no iPhone for anyone in my family.
Problems with the iPhone:
1. MicroSim-what happens if your iPhone screws up? You can't just put your sim card into any other phone can you, much less backup your contacts as easily.
2. Embedded battery-what happens if your iPhone battery screws up? Battery not so easily interchangeable.
3. Facetime only over Wi-Fi and from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4? You gotta be kidding me right?
I could add mmore, but I'll just wait til the phone comes out so my opinion is based on facts.
For now, do yourself a favour and get an Android 2.1 or above =o)
I don't think people know that Apple only has a 0.68% of the cell phone market while Nokia has a whopping 47.22%.
First and foremost cell phones were made as communication devices, and in terms of call clarity Nokia cell phones far out perform Apple cell phones. This is a fact.
So if call clarity is important to you I would look into Nokia phones. Even Samsung cell's have better call quality.
I personally own an Apple iPhone 3GS and can say that call quality sucks, and the phone lacks the competition in so many categories.
The iPhones are mostly hype and really are just an image thing. That's the truth.
I can upgrade to the 4G in a couple weeks but why, when the Nokia N8 and many others have way more to offer.
I think being able to add more memory like 32GB with a microSD card is a great feature.
I think being able to hook up my cell phone directly to my home theater and flat screen TV via HDMI cable, and watch HD video directly from my cell phone is a great feature.
The Nokia comes with a real Xenon flash for low light photos just like digital cameras have, while the iPhone has a simple LED flash which is basically useless.
All you Apple lovers who always dis Nokia and others really have no idea what they are talking about. Just status/image followers.
Wake up....Nokia owns the cell phone market for one reason....they make the best, highest quality cell phones and have been doing it for a long time.
Statistics don't lie.
Why don't all you iPhone lovers do a little research to see actually what is the best, most feature packed cell phone, instead of listening to all the Apple hype and propaganda. I must admit they are marketing genius's.
Remember, I currently own the much hyped iPhone 3GS, and I'm not impressed with it.
Here's a start.
Open your minds and horizons, and take your heads out of your ass's and research your next cell phone.
Don't be a follower.
Please, what's the difference between screen resolution and inches?
xxx, 20 Jun 2010or what?
on my htc sprint 4g i can make video call to any device with that technology not jus... moreI guess the 3GS would just use Fring, which has had videocalls on iPhones since last year.
I wonder if Fring will use the front camera API's Apple provides so you can make video calls instead of just receiving them like you can now.
Skype should also be able to use the front camera although they are pretty slow, it took them a year to release the N97 version.
