Retina display makes things clearer true but its not a big deal, apple just made it into a big deal.. Forgods sake go watch Samsung wave and Super Amoled screen and ull know the difference, even in in UI smoothness it compares with the iphone and even better some might say.
And I did use 3G video calling on my old E90 and it was working just fine and smooth, even smoother than facetime on Apple's keynote. Watch where other's have reached mate.

My concerns with the new iPhone is simply the lack of memory. My 3GS is nearly filled. It turns out the new iPhone will install the HD versions of content in default. What does this mean? Well when you buy for example an HD episode of a show on iTunes, you are given two downloads, one in HD and one in MPEG that is much smaller in file size. The new iPhone will chose to download the HD version which is three times the size. Apps created for ios4 will be much larger in file size, as old apps get updated to maximize the new resolution they will also grow in size. Shooting HD video on the iPhone 4 will occupy nearly 80mb of storage space PER MINUTE.... A 64gb iPhone would have been really appreciated. I would have paid the premium for it.

At least it works smoothly, unlike other devices out there that claims they have video calling yet never seems to work on either wifi or 3g, but of course yours probably works all the time :)
The iphone's retina display simply means better clarity, especially when zooming in on texts or images. It does not mean that we will be counting pixels, lol.
That iphone glass breaking is questionable. There's no video footage of it, just a photo of an iphone with a shattered display.
Yes, we will be having fun with our iphones, and you really shouldn't be affected :)

If a person thinks that a device is a "must have" for them, then let them have it. Why would it be anyone else's problem? Just because a device works for a lot of people, it does not make those users sheeps. So yes, it is jealousy :)

Atleast on other phones u feel secure that video call feature is there and working on 3G !

All of a sudden something is a must have, so most sheep.......er I mean people go out and get it. Hence the sheep like behaviour. 64% shinier than a 3GS, so all the shallow drones of society want the shiny stuff. It's the only way they can feel better about themselves. And if another person says its sexier than the 3GS I will have a fit because they all look the same!!!!!!!! 4, 3GS, 3G, 2G, oh hang on we dealing with sheep here.... never mind, as you were.
