uurrrggghhhh u haters .....u're just focusing on apple's shape that has no benefitt and wtsoeverrr (just try to find me a mobile that has this engineering brilliance!!....y u're ignoring the other stuff ???!!! did u forget the A4 processor ?? ,did u forget the gyro and the accelerometer??! , did u forget the retina display??! , have u noticed the popularity iphone 4 has??! although it has been announced for less than 1 week ??!, add to it the ios4...anywayyy if u don't like it haters buy anythin' else and satisfy urself and we dnt want ur comments

iPhone 4 will fail, hands down. Due to the fact that Apple didn't fulfill many important requests from customers, iPhone 4 won't see a quarter of the sales of the iPhone 3GS. Most consumers aren't going to fall for the over-hype this time. Once several, credible reviews begin surfacing, word will spread regarding all of its short-comings, and people will look elsewhere for a true smart-phone. It's pretty clear to see that this device is going to be nothing more than a big let down.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2010Which smartphone is thinner than 9.3 mm?This is one of the best phone websites and your asking me ? Lol just go any brand and filter ur search by 9mm in thickness, ull get ur results :) so u can see how they lie on people, and since when did thickness matter just put it in ur pocket and sit in a wrong way and the screen will break. As long as the phone sits in ur palm nicely and comfortably, and it must be comfortable on ur ear while ur talking on phone unlike the iphone which has a boxxy edge to it which annoys u while talking, I know this a small detail but its and important one.
This is my opinion and an advice, if u don't wana approve it then its ur choice.

Don't use them outside, you can't see the screen in bright light.

U can download songs out of torrents for free, why would I download one single song each time on bluetooth when I can download hundreds on the net ?! ..
Bluetooth use is for file transfer e.g. Pictures, Office documents, ringtones, captured camera videos and anything in the phone that u want to transfer, its ur freedom to transfer and its ur device which belongs to u that u bought by ur money.. So why take that away ?? :s bluetooth is also used for headsets and connecting with other gadgets and lets not forget internet tethering .. I don't think that comes anywhere near piracy mate.
See they just trick u by very misleading reasons that have no sense, I don't know how people believe it, WAKE UP.
Ya and that reason of no multitasking they gave us before, it drains battery life -_- .. Multitasking was ages ago available and the battery was alright after 1 year use.. Its no excuse and always misleading to make u believe it.. This an ADVICE if u agree then do ur research again, if u don't just ignore it mate.

Anonymous, 11 Jun 2010even in smartphone sale apple is no3 after nokia and blackberry worldwide! you pigOf course nokia would still have the most market share on smartphone sales. They have multiple smartphone released in 1 yr. Same with BB. Apple only has 1, yet it was able to land 3rd place. That is more impressive.

Watch the keynote ??! We saw the keynote and its full of iphone and apple product praising .. If u studied marketing ull know what's a marketing strategy means.. And specially Apple's marketing strategy which tries hardly to show u that its product is the best and sends u a hidden message that manipulates ur mind to buy it and think its the best by its looks. An example ?
If u saw the keynote then ull see Jobs each time saying "isn't that cool ?" "The most beautiful and precise thing" "the thinnest phone out there" (which there are thinner smartphones if u knw the smartphone market)..
Watch the keynote and see how he praises the iphone each time. Don't let Apple fool u people ur way smarter than that.. Not just getting deceived by good looks that have no benefit, as I said looks are for the eye to see not for the product to function.. And that tricks so many poor consumers into it ..
NOTE: This is my opinion and its a fact, and this is just an advice to all people who read this. I don't hate Apple and as I said before I've used lots of Apple's products, but this is my advice to u consumers. Best regards.

Apple have reasons why they do business the way they do. If you don't support their beliefs, don't buy their products. It's as simple as that. Here's a point. Apple does not allow bt file transfer to discourage piracy. Let's be honest here. Bt file transfer are mainly used to copy media files. Apple is against that. Artists and app developers need to get compensated for their hard work. A lot of customers are opportunists. They like to freeload on apps and media files. If you are a freeloader, then Apple products are definitely not for you. There people like me who support and understand Apple's beliefs and values.

It seems people (scientists) are complaining about Jobs use of the term "retina display" to discribe the iPhone 4 screen in his presentations to market the iPhone4. From my understanding, Jobs says that the "retina display" on the iPhone 4 is at such a high resolution that the average person cannot distinguish individual pixels under normal conditions. It seems the scientists' criticism is that the term "retina display" means a display that someone with perfect eyesight cannot distinguish individual pixels. (Please, forgive me if my terminology is not perfect here.) A true retina display must have a slightly higher resolution than the display on the iPhone 4. If you crunch the numbers, you realise that the iPhone 4's display resolution falls short of the definition of "retina display."
I think that Jobs is not using the term "retina display" correctly. He is trying to get across that the average person cannot distinguish individual pixels on the iPhone 4 under typical conditions, but there just isn't a term for this. "Retina display" is a catchy term and is close enough from a marketing stand point, I guess. He could have use a more accurate term like "near-retina display," but this term just doesn't sound as cool.

As for the camera. Techies should already know by now that megapixels is not everything. So I wouldn't say that just because the new iphone only has 5 that we could automatically say that the 8mp one would be better. I would wait for more reviews and comparisons.
As for the front camera. It might be new for the iphone, but so far according to those who have tried it at the keynote, it works smoothly. Something that other phones that brag of having it have not achieved after all these years.
User experience and OS stability matters so much more on a phone than other extra features. The iphone has proven that for 3 years now. And now their 4th.

A lot people saying that Iphone is bad a lot saying that Iphone is good... opinions, opinions
I wasn't an Iphone fanboy untill now. One reason for example, I didn't know that they put an accelerometer to a phone for the first time. Now all manufacturers have that in their phones like wow is that something or what... I bet it will be the same with the gyroscope.
The screen from the specs and pictures is stunning.
The HD video recording on Iphone looks good not just on the paper like on HTCs ... the only phone that probably beats it is Nokia N8, but it is't even officialy anounced.
The very Sense and Android plasticky HTCs couldn't reach Iphone quality nor the Sony Ericsson plasticky Xperia X10 and so on
There's only two bad things: about now Apple discovered videocall camera and the homescreen's still made of icons

If you go to a business school, they would educate you on how to create effective presentations. So I guess Apple has smart business men and women.
But yes, as consumers, very good presentations should not be enough. We should personally do our research and check out the device ourselves. Turns out that Apple have not only given impressive presentations, but have also produced an awesome device :) It already sold over 50million, and no amount of good presentation can get you that far if your product does not live up with its hype :)

For locals working their its normal but for tourists its expensive, everything there is expensive but they have the BEST products out there.
