Good luck with the new data plan att is imprisoning y'all with. $25/2 GB of data and $10 additional GB! What a deal lol!! The average smart phone user uses at least 3-4GB per month... thats gonna add up fast! Sorry for u guyz...

Have you wonder why the they dont let you donwload content from safari?. No flash allowed? No file manager allowed, no bluettoth file tranfering. No tethering?

Well, from the pics, the new iPhone 4 looks like a decent phone, if not better than the rest of the other phones.
But, we must look at the other side of the fence. First, it's the price. For the iPhone 3GS, why does it cost SGD$1040 for just a 3-megapixel camera, with no front facing camera, no shutter key, and No videocalls functionality? it does not make any sense.
Then comes the apps. It seems that we need to pay for most of the apps we want. AND if we want to listen to music, we hav to pay for most of it, even if it is just $0.99.
On the bottom line, I think the iPhone 4 is a great phone with good features. If they can stop asking us to pay for every single thing and make make the iPhone a capable smartphone,i think the iPhone will become a legend.

Other handsets have apps... infact more free ones!
The samsung Galaxy.. Super AmoLed.... Better screen resolution...
Other handsets offer more than a 5MP camera.
the iphone 4 has just introduced a front of phone camera.. how long have they been around?!
Infact... other handsets have loads more to offer, you just have to look around.
Even people who dont know what an iphone looks like will go for an iphone... what reason is this?
Apple products have a high respect level... but so do other companys, so why slate another company when an iphone does compare to another handset..
Look at the 3gs in todays market.
3.2 mp camera
video camera(just)
and compare that with handsets that are avaliable now... you could probably guarentee they would give you more, for half the price!

The N8 is boring that's all I have to say about it.
The iphone 4 when released is going to sell bucketloads, Apple phones have been out for 4 years now and bear in mind there still the baby yet they have released the best handsets that make other companies look boring such as sony ericsson, nokia, LG, sampsung I could go on for ever.
Once you go iphone guys you won't go back and ok the iphone 4 is expensive and for those who can't afford it or hating the iphone 4 for what ever the reason just stay away from it simple as

some say the glass cover would break easily dunno if that info is authentic but ya it is glass after all.
and i don't really see the difference between this and my 3GS. and i already have a dslr for my pics so ya. how is it so special?

I had my hands on this phone but trust me guys, it's not much as expected with the new os 4 and the new screen resolution is ok not that makes a lot of difference, but here in the USA no matter how great the phone gets it's still with AT&T and that means dropped calls and missing text messages, so I'm going HTC android this year and of course a better carrier, and like someone said before in this forum the applications are the only good thing that makes apple great.

Hi all .. I'm here to explain to you what a SmartPhone is incase u forgot :)
Smart:(SMART is secondary because a phone should act as a phone to start with)
1.Multitasking (real multitasking), GPS, Camera, Office word, excel, powerpoint (Reader or editing) etc..
2.Internet browsing, email, etc..
3.Youtube, facebook, twitter etc..
PHONE = COMMUNICATION which means:
1. Phone calls
2. Video calls (not just through wifi and both devices should be identical, it kills the whole purpose) e.g.: lemme sit at home and video call my cuzn while he is at home, unless u have so much time and just figured to waste ur time)
3.SMS
4.MMS
5.Bluetooth (Sharing with other smartphones is a part of communication, not just which to devices of the same brand)
6. Infrared (which is dieing slowly but still used in some devices, which is considred under communication) NOTE: Making all communication types in a phone is good because u can share with any device old or new.
7.Wifi
8.Battery life (battery life is under Phone because as long as u have battery u can communicate)
9. USB (Micro, or any.. As its considered a good idea for charging ur fone on any different fone charger other than ur brand)
A smart phone these days have been forgoten for multimedia which doesn't serve in functionality, if a smart phone is not so smart and can't communicate what's the use of it ?! If a smartphone can't serve me and just would let me play with its touchscreen and download games and apps for it then what's the use of it ? U want apps ? Get Ipod touch, u want games get a nintendo DS..
A huge company like Apple had nothing at all, they got consumers by a brilliant marketing strategy which affected lots of people, their marketing strategy is good because they have no functionality so they just did something that looked good and felt good and to a viewer is just nice to see but has no functionality what so ever, and that marketing strategy includes:
Making a big deal out of nothing, and making their brand look the best:
1. Steve jobs kept on saying its the most beautiful and precise thing out there several times and saying isn't that cool ?? (which shows the way he wants u to think abt the product and make u think that its the best, to get excited and go buy it.
2. We have video call (only on wifi) isn't that amazing ?? We had dreams abt it since the Jetsons..(See that's making a big deal out of somthing while its already out there for years)..
3.These r examples of what he said, and go to the apples website, ull see a banner saying the "This changes everything. Again" What did change ? Phone calling ? Touchscreens ? Everything was out there they just polished it to look good for the poor consumers who look at good stuff. Its like seeing a fresh juicy orange which has nothin inside, it's a all looks that's what fools people. There are lots of stuff but I'm just tired of typing.
4. Apple products for example, they brag about having no viruses in their systems which really attracts consumers, well u have nothin compatible to start with to get some viruses and it all feels empty, just good looks and no functions again.
This sums it up for me, a little about me.. I have used every smartphone out there (including iphones) now using a nexus one and blackberry bold 9700 .. I'm not happy till now cause functionality is missing for me, I'm waiting for the N8 which I guess ill settle with, Nokia has served me well through the years and they still do, I'm not a Nokia fan no I have used everything out there,(mostly top tier phones) u name it and ill say yes but out of all phones Nokia (Mostly used coomunicater till the E90) does serve in all SMARTPHONE meanings.
This is not bashing or critisim, this is an advice from a fellow smartphone user, I don't hate apple I approve their fine OS and multi touch features but I said, looks are one thing for the eyes to see not to produce nor funtion.

Oh ya I forgot somthing, to prove apples Weasel marketing strategty, all of u remember the iphone 4 leaking all aorund the world ? A company as big as Apple would let that happen u think :) ?
It is intended and the whole story is intended, so stupid how some people believed that.
Ull ask me why they did it ? Simple, to get people's opinions and know I'd they need to change the shape and looks of it. Why ? Because they want it to look at its best. Why ? Because that's wat they did in everything, just good old looks which serve no purpose :)
Tricky people will always trick u, ull live an empty dream, which wen the time comes and u need somthing ull wake up and say oh that's missing, oh that's not there, oh I can't run this, oh I can't charge my phone I have no micro USB while all devices have it :)
