I like this phone,
but I think i'll keep my sony and buy an iphone in a few years when I have a reason to
hope it has a better camera flash (xenon) in a few years, and a fm radio and a price cut though!
Anonymous, 10 Jun 2010How on earth has this phone a rating of 7 for performance when NO ONE has ever used one?because iphone haters tries to put down iphone ratings so that no one will dare to buy this phone... simple as that....
[deleted post]PS. You said "Steve Jobs gains nothing by locking down his hardware, except for the fact that the user experience is maintained throughout".
Tell me how would allowing Iphone users share the picture that they took on their Ip4 with another user via Bluetooth be detrimental to "user experience"?
Tansen, 10 Jun 2010the front facing camera will probably be available for skype calling and whatnot. As for wifi ... moreBro, you gotta understand that AT&T isn't the ONLY carrier getting this phone. 3G calling may not be good for AT&T but it certainly would be for our networks here in Europe!!
How on earth has this phone a rating of 7 for performance when NO ONE has ever used one?
There might be lots of good things...but lets list the problems first.
- No radio
- No file share through bluetooth
- Constans fight to unlock the iphone.
- The operator charges are ridiculous! (With the 3g/3gs anyway)
I never owned an Iphone. But if they would give the phone to other operators...and with reasonable cost, I would take the iphone 4.
Ps: Buying a 3gs model... Unlocked here from finland... Is STILL costing over 700 euro (maybe Its 800 something $)...thats MAD MONEY! I have to work for a living, so with those prices...you can keep your iphone.
[deleted post]the front facing camera will probably be available for skype calling and whatnot. As for wifi only, this is not Apples doing, but AT&T's. Why would Apple care how you use whateever features it builds into it's phones? AT&T's network simply can't handle the 3G video calls. One day they may enable them, but for now the network is too weak.
Also, Steve Jobs gains nothing by locking down his hardware, except for the fact that the user experience is maintained throughout. Its not like they make more money when we aren't able to multitask or something. Seriously, get your mind out of the gutter and think for once why they might lock down certain capabilities, at least at first.
Any news that apple will improve Iphone4 facetime with also 3G connection instead of wifi only?
Anonymous, 10 Jun 2010I think that the ips technology of the lcd screen should be added to the specifications.Agreed.
I also think the USB support should be removed, Bluetooth should clearly state "Only headset pairing" and add no Flash content support.
Nokia N8 is not only better in looks but also in features>> hahahahah
I think that the ips technology of the lcd screen should be added to the specifications.
what does it mean that VIDEO CALLING is only thru WiFi???
that good is the iphone 4g, that problem it gives me that americans do not appreciate the price, I'm from Argentina and here will be worth $ 1000 or more. and you complain. greetings from buenos aires
At the end of the day the difference between Apple and Nokia Fanboys is simple. Just ask yourself this:
If their device of choice lacks some important and pretty common feature, who would be apologetic for their device and make excuses like "I don't need it" or "What I have is good" and "But it's so pretty".
dbonx, 09 Jun 2010The iphone 4 16gig cost $199 wich is the same range price as the ipgone 16gig 3gsas was the iPhone 3GS , now it`s 99 $
"Nokia chose to copy the iPhone, especially its enormously popular and patented design and user interface….
As Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia’s executive Vice President and General Manager of Multimedia, stated at Nokia’s GoPlay event in 2007 when asked about the similarities of Nokia’s new offerings to the already released iPhone: “[i]f there is something good in the world, we copy with pride.” True to this quote, Nokia has demonstrated its willingness to copy Apple’s iPhone ideas"
