I'm not blown away with the 4G iphone. They have improved certain things that the older models lacked.
I think it was mainly for the iphone fans. We all know that Nokia have made a few fancy phones and is a popular and prefered choice for most people as they are "reliable".
Sure the N8 Nokia is good, but the 4G is in a league of its own. The amount of useful applications that Mac offer makes your mobile experience entertaining and exciting. Overall specs of the phone are perfect for everyday use. If you want to play games on and complain about graphics or battery life, you are are surely a retard, you need a desktop pc with a good graphics card for that kind of perfomce, If you want your phone to take out high res pics you'll need a 30 Megapixel Camera to give you that plus the lighting makes all the difference, thats why they still make digital cameras..So buy that if you're serious about photography!!
Now to conclude this post. The iphone is always evolving and and it's a great product that seems to offer alot more than just storage place for music and videos.
The other brands like Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung etc all have their top of thr range mobiles that make the iphone look pretty normal or outdated to an extent. Yeah people buy it for the status thing too but nothings wrong with that. It's just like buying a Bentley W12 Or BMW M6 both cars are awesome and symbolise a "high status". Which one is better???
My personal opinion is buy the one that is more afforable to you cos both are good.
Don't hate it if you can't have it..
judging by personal xperiences the samsung preston beats the iphone in design, performance and features
This is one apple I shant be consuming!
It looks old before it's even been released.
i dont like the looks of it.. yeah very thin but i love iphone for its smooth round edges.. very comfortable to touch.. this one so simple looking.. ughly as well! no fun! i wont upgrade to this phone whatever great feature this thing have..
Whoever below who posted that Telstra is 4G, wow, way off. Quad-band DOES NOT mean 4G. Telstra Next-G IS 3G 850MHZ. There are NO 4G networks in Australia. 2G, 3G, 4G, etc has NOTHING to do with the frequencies of the signal. You can buy 2G phones that are quad-band, this does not make them 4G. "Next-G" is just a brand-name for Telstra's 3G network, which happens to use 850MHZ instead of the normal 2100. There are plenty of other 850MHZ networks around the world, America has several, these are also 3G, not 4G. Optus and Voda in Australia now also use a low-frequency signal for their 3G, 900MHZ, which also travels and penetrates further than a 2100MHZ signal. THey, again, are also 3G, not 4G.
When it's available in US, it'll be available here in Maldives. So definitely i'll be buying 1 of the iPhone 4G. So far, it's the best for me.!!!
ok so there`s a date now, to release the phone.. why didn`t apple say anything?
See I think everyone is over anaylizing this whole situtation because seriously Apple has the highest security only some apple employess know the release of a new product the rest find day of thats how so secertive apple keeps their product launch and also do you really think a person who isn't even the main designer of the iphone would be allowed to take a iphone which hasn't even been released or annouced to a bar and loose it?
arh, 17 May 2010why bother with voda / optus when telstra have the worlds fastest 3g network, with supirior co... moreTelstra is not a 3G network, it is in fact quad-band (4G). It utilises 850MHz/1800MHz/1900MHz/2100MHz. It's faster because no other Australian network offers quad-band or 850MHz. 850MHz is the only frequency that can penetrate concrete, lifts and natural environments. You pay that little bit more for a better service and greater coverage.
Iphone will never go mass market because apple only produces phones for high end users.
john, 19 May 2010*not iPhone user* I'm buying a new phone in the summer. I was all ready to go and get the ne... moresimple explanation techie boy. 4G not even announced yet. u got cash - buy symbian^3 N8
Anonymous, 16 May 2010It is the iPhone 4G, There is no 4G Network in Australia, so it will be a LONG time before it ... more4G does not refer to network speed, its is the 4th gen Iphone, and not a very good one at that.. in fact it sucks !!!. Shame on Apple to try releasing a downgraded phone at an outrageous price and trust apple using illiterates to fall for the gimmick.
Look at N8 people and shove your iphones
Umm just wondering if this can be used as an electric face shaver?
